I realize she's gone, but here's some intersting tid-bits about her in our paper
Anna Nicole Smith's former manager said the Playboy icon had a longtime fascination with Marilyn Monroe, including a love for mixing champagne and pills. "her whole house was plastered with Mariln Monroe photos, said Las Vegas producer-manager Joey Battig, and the reason she drank champagne with pills is because Marilyn did. She always wanted to parallel her life with Marilyn's" Monroe died at age 36 from what was ruled an overdose of skeeping pills in Brentwood, on Aug. 5. 1962. "I believe she died emulating her", Battig said. Smith, 39, was touted as the next Marilyn Monroe" after Hugh Hefner put her on Playboy's cover of the March Playboy 1992 issue, and named her Playmate of the year in 1993> Hefner put Monroe of his first cover in 1953. Battig said her was aware of Smith's battle with drugs You could never get her on the phone when she was out of it, I got tired of it, and threw in the towel after 8 months. Smith had an appearance in Las Vegas on New Years Eve 2004, when she hosted a VIP party and the countdown to 2005 at the Aladdin. afterwards she was seen slow dancing with several of the high rollers, and asked that night about her leagal setbacks she stated "the judges were so paid off" and her than lawyer, (and now) Howard Stern, said Don't print that!!!

well that was before she died, who could have predicted that? and honestly, who wasnt sick of seeing anna on tv? it was way too much, she was using every oppertunity possible to sell every mundane detail of her life. its sad that she died but it was obvious she had a drug/other sort of problem. rosie was just commenting on that. thats what 'hot topics' is about after all

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIF..The Police announced their first tour in decades Monday at a rehearsal at the legendary Whisky a Go-Go. The band plans a world tour of arenas, stadiums and some festivals. According to various Web-sites, including Sting's the band will play at the MGM Grand Garden on June 15. The group, whic led off Sunday's nights Grammy Awards with a live appearance, broke up in 1984. Members Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland have since pursued individual careers. "I woke up one morning about 3 months ago..it's like a light bulb went off in my head, I'm going to call Andy and Stewart, Sting said, it's s sort of healing" His bandmates kidded about Sting's demanding personailty. "We refer to Sting as our dear leader" Copeland said. "On a good day", Summers added. THey issisted the disputes that broke them up were artistic, not personal. I'm sick of seeing Rosie on TV, to be perfectly honest. :lol: She's always talking about her kids and her politics, which Meredith never did on a daily basis (and certainly not in an in-your-face manner). She's bashing one celebrity after another, when she honestly has no room to brook an argument about improper behavior if you look at her past misdeeds.
If you want to know every mundane detail of Rosie's life, flash back a few years to "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," Rosie's purchase of McCall's Magazine, Rosie's Broadway show and Rosie's cruise line. I should mention that the first three are no longer with us.
Now she has to take down the View, although Walters was doing a darn good job of that all on her own.

Two uniformed policemen and three men from a "crime scene unit" van on Thursday entered the Bahamas home that was shared by Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern. Members of the crime-scene unit could be seen taking photos of the property, but declined to answer questions from reporters. A commissioner for the Royal Bahamas Police Force surmises that the officers "must be" investigating a burglary report filed by Stern, but said he had not been alerted to the team's arrival at the mansion. (AP)
