^ If she was, wouldn't they have made a big deal out of it or at least mentioned it? They made sort of a curfuffle over Tripp being promoted to Seargent and everything I've seen, it just says 'Detective' by her name. If she's been promoted, hell if I ever knew about it. Then again, like Florry mentioned above, the writers aren't very good with their own facts.

I'm not surprised by all the inconsistencies of shows like this, must be hard to remember what you wrote over numerous season.

They do sound a little far-fetched to me, too. Though, as someone said in an earlier post, that working titles and the final title often change. It's just as likely that someone is being funny and those are fake titles for fake episodes.

Am I the only one on here seeing Horatio being outted and that leads to Calleigh being pushed to Lieutenant for a while, maybe permanently, but then replaced by someone else? Don't any of you think that something happens to Horatio? In the third to last episode?

No. What would be outted for? He hasn't really done anything lately to be outted for. And whatever he does in next week's episode he's going to do to protect Billy, which is his job protect and serve. I think this season's ending isn't really going to revolve around Horatio getting hurt or anything. I think it's going to be Julia dying or being left near dead. I mean, Ron's back and I always expected him to come back and kill Julia.

Horatio? The invincible Horatio dying? I don't think he's capable. In all seriousness, I don't think they'd kill Horatio off. He's portrayed as way too indestructible, in my opinion. He's always got some kind of trick up his sleeve!

Oh, Horatio would never die! I can foresee the very last episode of the series - the entire lab explodes & Horatio walks all slow-motion like out of the building, puts on his sunnies, hands on his hips, stares into the sky, & wala - there's the end of CSI:Miami. :rommie:

I think maybe Horatio winds up needing some time off after big emotional or tragic circumstances w/Julia and or Kyle. Am skeptical about titles too BUT firmly believe we are "owed" a few more episodes since last season was cut way too short. They owe us! really, about Calleigh-maybe H needs time off or is under a temporary suspension from beating sexual predators and she gets put in charge for awhile..That would cause issues if she's Eric's "boss" wouldn't it??? maybe that helps tear the team apart..fraternizing with equal team people is one thing but sleeping with the boss is a big no-no..

I am with you on that one....

Only thing missing....Previous shot:

Bad guy steps on some sunnies saying: "So this is the end".

BTW.....How prepared are you guys to see some off work things happening to your fav. characters? ....In a tread not far from here someone suggested a clubbing scene including all expect H and K doing fathersonstuff. In NY we saw Mac playing in club.

I'm with you on this one. I mean I so can imagine TPTB making Calleigh Lt. in order to replace H also b/c, after all, she can't go on working with Eric.
IDK how to explain it, but Calleigh or Eric has to leave the lab b/c of their "non-fraternization" rule. What a better way to do it than making her move to the Lt. postion so that once they'll split the team up, she can have her own team?
Of course, IMHO, having put Calleigh & Eric together means that one of the 2 will leave the team. Maybe the person will remain on the show, but surely not in the same team.

As for H, IDK what kind of storyline they could create for him so that he can have some rest & give his position to Calleigh.
I mean the obvious way to do it is for H to die, but there's no way H is gonna die, espcially after the last season cliffhanger they left us with.
Maybe Calleigh will become Lt. (something, which honestly, I'm not looking forward with this Calleigh. I just can't see this one becoming Lt.), but just for some episodes, not permanently. Maybe her becoming Lt. could lead to a possibile new and finale storyline for Calleigh. Of course they have to use H for this kind of storyline & we all know that lots of people don't want H to going on being Lt. ;)

IDK it's very complex, but I can see that happening especially with the whole E/C stuff & H always having troubles with his family (after all Eric is his brother in law ) :)

IDK, I'm seriously wondering if we aren't being messed with here.

I've never seen or heard anything on the show to indicate that Calleigh was ever promoted above the rank of Officer/Detective. It's hard for me to imagine that she could skip over Sergeant and go to Lt. in one swoop.

Talk about serious legal issues with the union regarding seniority and stomping on officer's rights! Anyone ahead of her in line for promotion would have a case. I worked as a civilian in an accredited law enforcement agency for a time and they would bring someone in from the outside before they would do that. Then again, maybe it was just the agency I worked for.

And even if the agency I worked for was acting appropriately, this is CSI Miami and they do tend to bend the rules to make it fit.

These titles are seriously wierd. It's really hard for me to believe they are real. Part of me wonders if this is wishful thinking on someone's part because they don't like Horatio/Caruso and want to see him gone or they just want to stir of the fans.

I'll admit I'm a Horatio fan. But whether you dislike Horatio or not, every poll I've ever seen conducted regarding the characters on this show has Horatio the most popular character. So unless Caruso has elected to walk away (which I'll admit is entirely possible), why would you get rid of your most popular character?

Just strange.

I do think they're messing with us too :p.

Still the idea of Calleigh becoming the new Lt isn't that wrong.
Look, we have a CSI with a bullet in his head, another one who was with a nail in his eyes & the episode right afer that one was with him playing with the "playstation".
So, it's entirely possible that they will make her Lt. so that they can split this team up & she can have her own team.
I still think that one between Delko & Calleigh will have to leave the team. IDK, but this relationships between these 2 leads me to this kind of conclusion & I do think that it's a way for a character like Cal or Delko to leave the team. I do think that one of them will leave the team by next season & possibely will leave the show. Otherwise, what was the purpose to put these 2 together before the season finale? :shifty:

:guffaw:I can totally see that happening! Sad as it is, everyone would die except Horatio! And then David goes on to do another cop show and another different name. And there's hints that he's from Miami....and New York....and he's got....secrets....YYAAAOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!
