There is nothing that could let us think that this could be the lst season. Csi:Miami is the most watched Tv show in the world, the franchise should be crazy to have a similar idea...so, don't worry...we will watch it for a while!!!;)

Oh gosh, I really hope so!
I can't leave without new CSI:M episodes :scream:
It's gonna be a annoying life when CSI:M end :(
CSI:Miami has to have a looong life

OMG! Don't make me cry :( ! This is just the beginning of CSI: MIAMI! :) I really doubt this is the last season because CSI:LV is already on it's 9th season? (I'm not sure I don't watch CSI:LV) I really don't think they will just end such a popular and awesome show! CSI: MIAMI as got a long time to go

I'm okay with Ryan making mistakes, that's not the problem, he doesn't need to be perfect. I like him sometimes, usually when they make him be the funny guy. I understand that he can't always be the funny guy, because that would become boring, but being the screw-up guy is boring too, at least to me. If writers are going to give him another storyline (and they should), I would like it to be something about his family, or something positive.

Most of his fans would like positive. Part of the problem(as I see it) is that people have really long memories, even if Ryan goes for a length of time with no screw ups that is what people say about him.It sounds as if he has a great story coming up,but some people will jump right on what they see as negative instead of seeing he was trying to save a life and at possible great damage to himself.

It's how it always happens, a mistake and you are marked for life! That's why I'm always worried when they put some character in trouble, because they become bad notes in their career and it's not that simple to change what people (or IAB) thinks! Don't you remember Calleigh's interview by IAB in season 4? At that time Cal's career was spotless and they found something to bother her, figures now! I don't know what would happen if they interviewed her now...:p
So Ryan will have definitely a hard time and I'm not happy about that!

Cal wouldn't have a problem now, that was part of the point from my statement before, others can make mistakes, and it is easily forgotten for some reason or seen as a justified mistake or action. It just doesn't seem to have the same negative impact.
I'm hoping Ryan won't have too hard a time with the up coming story because we all know that Horatio has a huge love and soft spot for kids, and we know that Ryan's dilemma involves a child.
It sounds like a really good story, and for that I am excited.

Man, when can April get here? The sad thing is I'm not sure if I can even see it, so I'm crossing my fingers. I personally can't wait to see how the scenes and acting all plays out. :)

If Eric and Ryan turn out to be half brothers or cousins or something....that would just make my day :)

Now that would be daytime soap! Please, no I hope that never happens.

I do agree Miami needs more team scenes. Horatio telling them their assignments, discussing a case, eating, anything. Though I have to say that the team dynamic was lost way before the writers decided to officially pursue EC. I agree with whoever said season 4. If I had to decide on something which really affected the dynamic I would have to say they really separated Horatio from the team. He's had a lot of personal drama and they've turned him into this hero type that just kind of took away from the whole team feel. Still, even with all that H has been through, I see no reason why they keep shooting them in twos. I can just think that it's just the way they decided to do it.

I was also wondering how Eric got out of detention. Good to know, thanks :).

Maybe that improve the team dynamics.

Yes, I agree. :D This show is already makes me feel like I'm watching Dallas or Knots again anyway. Horatio having a son he never knew he had suddenly appearing out of the blue (didn't that happen to JR on Dallas?). Let's see... who would be JR? Ron Saris?

Actually I thought season 4 did pretty good with balancing the team aspect. We had Horatio's involvement with the murder of his "girlfriend" & they all pretty much pitched in to help, especially Calleigh. H was very much involved with Eric's pot mishaps, & Calleigh & Ryan both were still there being questioned. Ryan's eye problems even brought out some good interaction between him & Calleigh & also him & Alexx.....that's a hell of a lot more than what they've done since season 5 started.

I'll have to agree that I miss the team comraderie like it used to be in the first few seasons. I miss Horatio being human and concerned for his team again. The only one he ever seems to watch out for and be around for lately has been Ryan. Maybe I'm delusional but I hope Eric's upcoming predicament will draw the team together. Yeah, I'm probably delusional.

It's like the writers are unable to write any coopertive scenes anymore, maybe they think they have to write something else or put in some new technology to catch our attention when all we really want is scene together with the whole team! But they have made an improvement this season with the opening scene in Power Trip, where Tara, Ry, Cal and Eric come in together. They're getting there, just wait.

And I do expect a lovy duby scene between E and C because I bet my friend $100 jamaican dollars that they'd have a good love scene, any how TPTB let's me down, ugh, I don't even wanna think that...
