Carmine Giovinazzo

WOW, Top , that was an amazing interview! I will have to ask, did he breathe?

I just love how passionate he is about his character and acting. and yes, it is one of the reasons that I think he is sexy ;)

Ok, so I haven't noticed the boots he is referring to.... I, of course am too busy looking elsewhere on him!

And that man swears more than I do in one day.

I hope the language doesn't offend anyone, but I definitely didn't want to take it out, because I think it would have ruined the effect.
Well, he has read The Locker Room, so he's probably like 'These girls can handle it!!'

Great interview! :D

Now, don't make me tell you which episode it was, but I think he was wearing what I'd call 'biker boots', they were black and a bit on the heavy side. Although it's sad to say, I only noticed them because I really, really want a pair of those for myself. *coughs* 'Though I don't normally look at his shoes...

Sweet! I'll have to look in the next episode, though he did say he takes them home sometimes and forgets to bring them back.

And yes, ThisIsMe--he's seen the Locker Room! I think he knows how we talk! :D

That makes me wonder whether or not that in the next interview with one of the cast members, the question of "do you read the threads dedicated to you" will come up because I would die to read the reactions. Mostly from Carmine and Eddie. Those two would kill me.

And then the shipper ones wouldn't be so bad but... :p Just wonder how uncomfortable or not they'd get with it.

^Did we ask that in one of the chats? I know Hill was upset there wasn't a specific Dr. Sheldon Hawkes/Hill Harper thread. I can't imagine if they've looked in the forum, they haven't at least peeked at the threads dedicated to them. Who could resist?

I doubt they've seen the shipper ones since they're in a different forum, and that's always kind of struck me as the kind of thing you wouldn't necessarily want the actors to see. More freedom that way.

I think that's been a staple question in each NY chat we've had so far. Remember Eddie saying, "I have fansites?" That STILL makes me laugh to this day. That whole thing spawned off of asking him if he came here, I believe.

Eddie saying, "I have fansites?" may have been the cutest thing ever in a chat! (The hottest thing of course would be Carmine's "none at the moment" comment about what kind of underwear he was wearing  ) It's kind of cool and interesting that the actors seem to be aware of the fact that people are passionate about their show.

I think Carmine certainly is, through his own site and this one. I thought it was cool that he made a point to say how much he appreciates fans of the show. That's always nice to hear.

I love the way Carmine referred to Anna as sweet and cute, the way you would a little girl who knocks on your door selling cookies for the school band, there seemed to be neutrality to his comments. It had a different meaning than Anna's cute comments about Carmine and general gushing about Carmine, she was effervescent, but Carmine offered no Anna gushing in return, it is a sure sign of his dedication to character. Carmine however seems taken with Gary and Eddie, and rightly so. I'll say Carmine does seem rather interested in his creation of the Lindsay nickname, so he is dedicated to creating a different dynamic with the other characters. Carmine is dedicated to his character, dedicated to the idea of expanding on who Danny is and different interactions make for a good Danny. I do love the Eddie and Gary focus though, the writers should really tap into those interactions.

Thank you! :D Yeah, I pretty much didn't edit anything--I like the way he talks, and I think it really conveys his passion and enthusiasm for the role. I didn't want to dilute that at all. I wanted to make sure that energy came through.

and it did came :D you should ask him out :D

Jdonne: i did get that vibe too, i mean about his comments on Anna and her character...he seemed more aware and talkative( i don't even know if this word does exist  ) about Danny's interaction with Flack and Mac...it means something

I love the integrity you bring to your interviews and the balanced presentation. I appreciate that type of honesty, you don't allow yourself to skew things in any one direction and give a great deal of deference to the interviewee, their thoughts, and feelings. You manage to convey the emotions and energy with each of your interviews and though I am not a fan of all the shows equally, or the characters for the matter, I read each one because of the job you do. Thank you.

I think Carmine really, really enjoys the interaction with Gary because their characters have this deep father/son connection. I think the scene in the diner sold him on the friendship with Flack and the depth of it. His enthusiasm is truly contagious and sexy.

Thank you very much! :D I always try to ask a diverse group of questions that will get at the most important issues for the particular person's character. If I'm lucky (and I think I was with Carmine), the actor or actress will take the reigns and kind of guide the flow of the interview and even the questions I end up asking (I think of follow ups on the fly a lot of the time if an interview is going really well).

I'm glad you guys liked it--I think Carmine had such great stuff to say! :D

Great interview! I've not the whole thing yet - it's long, lol. But I loved the comments about Run Silent, Run Deep and about the relationships he has with other characters.

Thanks! :D It is really long, but he had so much to say. It's so exciting when you can tell an actor really puts a lot of thought and care into his role, and Carmine really does that. I loved what he said about RSRD--it made me run to rewatch the episode so that I could notice all the nuances in his and Gary's performances.
