So there I was, I had nothing better to do last night so I decided to clean out my closet. In the process I came across a shoe box filled with audio cassettes. Now, many of them were Paula Abdul or New Kids on the Block (yeah, yeah, lemme alone!) and quite a number of them were recordings of backing music for vocal practice. But one caught my eye. It was blank so, chuckling a little, I decided to pop it into my tape deck and see what it had on it.
It took me back into the 90s, as it turned out to be a mix tape I'd made back in high school. After a few inane songs about love (I won't mention the artist because it's an embarrassment now to admit I listened to her :lol: ) and a couple of booty music songs (and yes, I was singing along at the top of my lungs and dancing a little as I continued cleaning) a song that I actually still happen to like came on. As the song is really about pure, lustful sex, it naturally reminded me of Danny. Especially the chorus:

*Giggle*

Do you really think we should be looking forward to this Wiggles ? I've noticed that it's about after this ep that people start calling Danny a brat. They still have Danny lust but not so much Danny love. Do you think we're going to end up like that as well and desert him in his hour of need?

Hee! Bitten, do you have Forever Your Girl? I had that one--totally listened to "Straight Up," "Cold Hearted" and that one she sang with the animated cat. :lol: Hee. I liked "Rush, Rush," too.

I never do song lyric stuff, but this line from Anna Nalick's song "Breath (2am)" did make me think of Danny:
"Here in town you can tell he's been down for a while, but my God it's so beautiful when the boy smiles."
Did make me think of Danny, all his issues, and well, that heartbreakingly beautiful smile of his.
Ugh, I just got a little sappy there. Don't tell anyone outside of the LR!

great, now i´m gonna have to think about danny everytime a hear a sexy love song or something like justins "move your body" on the radio! ´till now i really didn´t think like that but now when you mentioned it...
i´m doomed! i have a project due on monday and i really have to be focused on that this weekend, and only on that!!!
i´m going offline for the next few days and i´m gonna go to an exorcist or something to purify me from all my dirty danny-thoughts. i really, really need to have a cool head for this project. pray for me!

Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? I'm going to wine bar tonight and then cleaning my place tomorrow during the day. I'm going with a group of friends to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy tomorrow night, even though it's gotten terrible, horrible reviews. :lol:

^Grading senior comprehensive exams - fun fun fun! I even have the confetti ready. No, I'm having some friends over for Sangria and salsa, both homemade. I just finished decorating the deck with candles, but the night is going to be a little chilly so we may have to move it inside. I have some 80's movies on DVD, coinciding with Bitten's musical trip down memeory lane.

^Oooh, sounds like fun, JDonne! I hope the weather improves so that you guys can be out on the deck...one of the coolest things about the spring/summer IMO is being able to enjoy the beautiful weather.
My favorite wine is Pinot Grigio. I love reds, but I can't have them because of my migraines, so I generally prefer the lighter whites--I also like Savignon Blanc. Chenin and Fume Blancs are pretty good as well, and Riesling if I'm in the mood for something sweet. Chardonnay is okay, so long as it isn't too oakey. I adore wine!

My favorite is Pinot Noir, like you I prefer reds. I also like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gamay Noir, in Italy I became addicted to Prosecco, and anything from the Beauolais region. I'll try just about any wine once.

^Italian wines are the best. Some of my favorite Pinot Grigios are from Italy. When my sister went last summer, she brought home a red (can't recall which kind) and I chanced the migraine to have two glasses. Italian wine is just wonderful.

The taste just lingers gently on your tongue, never overpowering like some wines. There isn't much the Italians do wrong when it comes to food and wine.
There I go longing for Italy again.

Well, I recently got my old job back and I start tomorrow morning at 6am (and I'm keeping my current job as well) so that's sort of put my Friday night plans on hold. But I'm off Sunday so I have a date with Cuervo on Saturday night.
