I remember an episode in which Ryan asked Calleigh whether she'd ever been asked out by a bad boy or if she had never accepted an invitation made my a bad boy ( I can't recall the scene properly but it was in "Cop Killer" s3) & she told him she hates bad boys.
Now that's funny cause she's actually having a relationship w/ a bad boy and I have to say "What a bad boy:devil::drool:".

Anyway I'm all for bad boys w/ a tender heart....and Jake is that kind of person. Plus he melted Calleigh's heart & as Emily once said "Calleigh is learning to love again w/ Jake".

I totally agree!! The Calleigh we knew and love disappeared for a couple of seasons and then all of a sudden Jake appeared.

One of my favorite scenes is the opening of SunBlock! When Alexx and Calleigh were given Jake a hard time. I loved it. :thumbsup: Jake had no idea how to handle Alexx and Calleigh.

Ohh I completely forgot her existence during s4...she was anonymous. Plus she was cold:wtf:.
When Jake arrived you can see she changed, again, in a good way.
She was slowly returning the "way too cheerful" girl we always loved & I think that the coffee scene in BBYD was the best example to show it.
She's completely another person when she is w/ Jake...she's a strong indipendent woman (not to mention she's lucky w/ him).
Now she's a scared woman who's having troubles & troubles. Plus she's distracted...I mean the real Calleigh wouldn't have never burned her lab in tha t way ( I have to say it cracked me up the whole scene till they found the last bullet:guffaw:)

Ahahah Sunblock was hilarious. I would have loved to see other scenes w/ that trio:guffaw:. I think Alexx appreciated the boy & how he cheered Calleigh up after a period in which she was a little bit too serious & cold.
Ohhh poor Jake....."Give me news if you still remember the number".
The whole scene cracked me up.

I have to agree. I think Alexx was the one person that did notice the change in Calleigh. For awhile Alexx was a little worried about Calleigh, you could hear it in the conversations they had.

Then Jake appeared and the conversations over the dead bodies changed for Alexx and Calleigh. But I think Alexx and Calleigh had a more personable relationship then any other two people in the Lab.

I'm really sad there will be no more scenes with Alexx and Calleigh talking over a dead body. I always waited for that scene each episode. :( I'm going to miss Alexx sooooooo much.

Yep in my opinion Alexx was a figure like a mother for Calleigh.
As we never saw Calleigh's real mother I think that whenever she had problem she headed to the mourge to ask for some advice. And I'm pretty sure Alexx told something about Jake, she had an opinion about the guy (I'd tend to think it was positive).

When Jake left Calleigh & Alexx in that scene, it was pretty obvious Alexx knew they had a relationship and she also knew the troubles they were having because of Stetler.
I thought it was cute that moment.

I think it would have been nice if they sohowed to us a moment between Alexx & Calleigh w/ both of them talking about Jake.

Maybe when Alexx will come back (cause I think we'll see her at least another time) we'll have a scene like this.
I need it especially after "Alexx's goodbye". it was so devastating seeing Calleigh crying while saying goodbye to her "mother" taht I need at least another dialougue between them possibly while they're talking about Jake and how important & good CaKe relationship is ofr both Calleigh & Jake.

Lord I hope so if she comes back to give Calleigh some good love advice!!:cool:

I miss the old Calleigh too. She is just NOT HAPPY on our screen, maybe at home with Jake, but at work she isn't.

I can't recall the last time she smiled whole heartidly. Aside from her squirmy smiles & saying "don't worry about it, lets not talk about it" in the last few epis, she hasn't shown that real happy Calleigh smile. The smile of love...like she had/has with Jake!
Where is the Calleigh who was joyfully skipping out of the lab to join hands with Jake???
She just doesn't look that way towards anyone else. Her troubles have been maxed out & ridiculous.:rolleyes:
She looks more depressed now than after Hagen died:wtf:
She needs her morning cappuccino w/ a side of HOT JAKERS is what she needs!!!:D

The bullet scene....:guffaw:I just laughed. The whole thing where it pings full speed into the ceiling reminded me of a cartoon or something. It was almost too comical. Then her sitting on her kit moping like a baby on a potti-chair had me rolling. I don't think it was meant to make us laugh but damn, it was just too funny. Not to mention the promo made it look like it was some big woopdidoo, then it completely flopped... in my opinion.

Oh gosh I want Alexx back....she knows Calleigh too well to not notice there's something bad in her w/out Jake.

Oh you can't even imagine how I miss the old Calleigh...the one who was able to find something positive in every case.
Maybe the last one I saw was the one from "Bang Bang Your Debt" when she was in the house of the victim w/ Jake.....she was able to talk about a coffee machine:guffaw: I loved it.
Also in "Sunblock" she was able to laugh (yeah laugh & smile) about the mojo w/ Alexx & again she was w/ Jake in that scene.
Now it's very difficult to see a grin on her face (I won't say a smile cause I can't see it since "Sunblock").
Also in "Going Ballistic" I couldn't see the real Calleigh's smile...also during "You're my hero" scene...it was far from her smile in "Hurricane Anthony".
It looks like she can't smile anymore....there's only a person who makes her smile...Jake.
Now she is always pouting & having troubles

Well after Hagen's sucide (why did he have to commit his suicide in front of her in her lab???:rolleyes: I can't get it) she was depressed & she was anonymous.
But then Jake arrived in "Going Under" & her situation changed completely...she was smiling almost everyday & she always found something postive in every case like her Karma in "Curse of the Coffin":lol:.
Now since Jake's disappearence she looks depressed.....she pouts everyday...it kinda makes me cry & laugh at the same time whenever I see her pouting. Calleigh never pouts w/ Jake.

Whene they showed how the bullet hit the ceiling I was shocked:eek:...I couldn't believe how she was unlucky (yep it was her mistake....but first Frank calling her & then all this stuff w/ the bullet made me think she's cursed).
Yep it wasn't meant to make us laugh but it made us laugh, although I have to say I wanted to hug her in that moment. I felt for her when they showed how she was sitting on that kit (why was she sitting on a kit & not directly on the floor???) and they showed her pouting in that way. I couldn't believe she was, again, in an unlucky situation like that pouting & looking hopeless in her destroyed lab.
I feel for her whenever I see her in such a sad situation.

Now there's a thing I honestly can't get. She was in the lab & I'm pretty sure that both Natalia & Ryan were there. Why was only Eric the one who looked if she was ok after the fire??? I mean she pressed the button of emergency & I'm pretty sure that also Natalia & Ryan heard it ( I was becoming deaf w/ that noise)...why they didn't show the whole team concerned for Calleigh?? Come one she destroyed a lab...it's impossible that only Eric was concerned for her.
I already knew they didn't show Jake in a situation like this (they already omitted him in a criminal way in "All in") but still I found it weird they didn't show Ryan or Natalia together w/ Eric to see if she was ok:confused:

We need an epi that brings Jake back. Something like an investigation that Frank can't work on so Jake comes in to play detective, then we could get our CAKE!!!
or possibly that creepy PI guy has more of those disks & one of them is of Calleigh & Jake's secret relationship:D

They can't just show his little face on that webpage then drop the story, he's GOT to resurface at some time, there was way too much of a hint in that.

I think they may just be waiting for the right moment for everyone to think she has moved on & then they'll give us the truth..that is...that she is still with Jake & has been all along.

Yep I'm pretty sure they will bring him back. Good or bad return they have to bring him back;)

Now the problem is when & how....and above all how will Calleigh be when they finally show him again???

I'll bet the PI agent will have something to do w/ Jake's return....I'm pretty sure there's a CS entitled "CaKe...hot house":devil:. Maybe Calleigh picked it up right after the episodes ended:p

We all know she hasn't moved on...but come on...it's time to show the guy & the truth.

Well since our cooky Ann Donahue (God love her) is "off" by a season, maybe the whole Duke thing will come into play this year & we'll get to see some Jake/Duke interaction!!! I would absolutely love to see that.
If I want some "Calleigh focus" I'd much rather it be more realistic like some angst between her father & Jake or over a case, or something more personal with her & Jake...thier past ...anything but this i've been kidnapped, my lab blew up, my best friend Alexx left, my friend is overly co-dependant on me...what else?....OH & ive almost gotten run over by a car too:wtf::wtf:
& how could I forget her troubles with the job, Cooper, the proficiency test, Stetler:rolleyes:
Come on!!! This is all way too much. I BEG for a happy Calleigh Duquesne!!!!
I want that "coffee moment" & "skipping out of the lab w/ Jake" Calleigh back!!!:angel:

Well I'm all for angst adn character's development but I've always said character's development, for me, is family's stuff.
As for Calleigh the best ones possible are her father & Jake.
Her father is always good for her to improove & change in a good way, as obviously her kidnapping, her being run off, her blowing up the lab & all the other trobles she had in less than a year weren't.

Jake....it's another good possibility since they never explored it. It was pretty clear from "Going Under" or "Going Going gone" that something happened between these two...maybe not good but still something happened & it was pretty clear they could have explored or probably it was their intention.
But then they dropped this story off as they tend to do w/ a lot of things.
Now w/ Jake I'm pretty sure they could have digged in Calleigh's past in a good way.
Right now we don't know anything from Calleigh's past, except she's a daugher of two divorced people (on of them is an alcoholist), but we kinda know that everything she touches is going to break...poor girl.

If we had an interaction between Jake & Duke w/ both of them talking about Calleigh maybe because of some problems....I'd giggle the whole time.

I hope they bring Jake back and put him and Calleigh back together. What I don't get is that Stetler was all on their butts for their relationship when not too long ago, he was dating Yelina. I know he's IAB or whatever and she was a detective, but still... Calleigh's a CSI and Jake is a detective. He doesn't work in the lab with her, so what was the problem exactly? It's not like they worked every case together. Just once in a while.

If anyone's interested: I've got an Vegas fic on the fic board where Horatio, Calleigh and Eric all come to Vegas to help in the investigation after Warrick's shot. I'm going to put some CAKE stuff in the next chapter (which I'll hopefully get written today). :)

That was just another idiotic way for TPTB to create drama & make everyone think that CAKE would break up:rolleyes:
What I hate most is that they brought up this new "rule" yet we haven't heard anymore about it, nor did it really break them up. Why bother?
Im just wondering if they''ll resurface CAKE in the new season & THEN they'll bring up the "rule" again. Maybe they'll get busted for still seeing each other;);)

Well the "rule" is stupid exactly because of what you said. Since they were a couple they worked together on two cases out to five:rolleyes:.
Anyway also this "rule" was drop off exactly in the same way Jake was dropped off.
What I hate most is that they were trying to build up a certain story line w/ Jake in "Stand Your Ground" but then????? Is Jake still alive?? Well maybe yes because of what Dan Cooper made w/ Calleigh's website :lol:.
Now honestly it's too odd they never mention the guy both in a good or bad way, they never mentioned him since "Stand Your Ground":brickwall:.

It's impossible even for CSI:Miami to drop off a character like Jake especially after they clearly told us they were interested in this "triangle" ( I won't say anything about the triangle cause I'm pretty sure everyone knows my opinion:rolleyes:)

Ugh! I so hate triangles! I refer to them as LTFH's or "Love Triangles from Hell". They are so annoying. Every show just has to have them or almost every show. Why are they such a neccesity? Talk about something that's old and tired.

BTW, if anyone's interested, the CAKE related chapter is up on the fic board. The fic is called "Acting on Impulse and Love".
