AUS-NZ Season 7 Ep Discussion

Nz has Minster in the box this week.

about ep: The miniature killer reveals he/she is still at large by sending Grissom an especially chilling miniature that forewarns a woman and her cat are scheduled to die the next day. -- With potentially less than a day to attempt to prevent the next murders, the CSI team must quickly shake off their shock that the true miniature killer is not the late Ernie Edward Dell, who committed suicide after confessing to the slayings. Grissom ponders why the killer deviated from his/her eerie tradition of leaving the miniature at the crime scene after the murder. He also laments that he held up the investigation by being on sabbatical when the unmarked package with the miniature arrived for him.

Well. I must say that I really did enjoy this episode. There was just so much going on, and the dark edge to it? Loved it. And then there was the story of the guy with incredibly bad luck. I was in Catherine's situation, I tell you. I couldn't stop laughing either. And then Grissom had to go all angst and ruin it. He's breaking all right. Big time. And Catherine and Sara can both see it.

Now, what else can I say about Loco Motives... I liked the fact that Ernie Dell was connected to all the previous Miniature Crime Scenes. And his rail road was just freaky. That guy has serious issues, and I think Jim and Greg knew it going through that house. But I have to say I was not expecting the ending. Poor Grissom. That was the last thing that the guy needed.

Other little things I noticed - Nick is over his fear of ants. When I saw the ant trail I thought "Nick is going to freak", but he didn't even batter an eyelid. Got right up close to them. Secondly, Doc Robbins had PMS. I don't recall him ever talking to Super Dave like that before. But for all we know David might have been going on about it for a while and Al finally broke.

And I've just got to ask - anyone else who has seen the episode and can watch it, did Greg look like he was limping when he was heading intro the chicken factory and moving through that crime scene? He wasn't later in the episode, but during that scene he seemed to be.

And finally, I can't finish without mentioning Hodges. Scares Grissom; annoys Nick. Guy had a good episode.

Yeap, definitely a good episode. Will be rewatching soon!

Next Episode: Leaving Las Vegas - 10 June (subject to change)

I know I missed a few episodes and I will come back to them eventually, but here's the review for "Meet Market". For anyone wondering, I post these to my LJ as well.

Date Aired: Sunday 15th July, 8:30pm
Station: Nine Network

Well, what to say about "Meet Market". Overall I thouroughly enjoyed this episode. The whole concept of taking the body parts and filling the corpse with random objects (yes, an umbrella is random) is fascinating, and I loved it. And I was not expecting the B story to end the way it did, although looking back now I should have picked up the clues and hints dropped throughout the episode.

When Greg appeared early on I was hoping to see a bit more of him, but he kind of... disappeared. I am pleased to see him in the same scene as Nick though - very rare these days. And Warrick had a decent part as well. At the same time Catherine stepped back and let the others take the cases. Also good to see. Nit picks? Well, where to begin. First and foremost what the hell was that letter writing scene other than a pointless piece of soapie trash to get the GSR fans off? The scene with Sara in Grissom's office looking at the glass tank and his present was good. I liked that. But the letter writing scene? Why!?

The Keppler drama, while interesting, seemed to be a bit too much. As did the fact that Keppler seemed to be doing the coroners job. I'm surprised Robbins didn't jump all over him for it. And why the heck was Nick friendly with Keppler after last weeks episode. Continuity - CSI seems to be alergic to it.

So, all in all, good episode, but it had more than a few problem moments. CSI seems to be getting more and more of them lately. Fingers crossed for the rest of the season.

Next Episode: Law of Gravity - 22 July (subject to change)

Meet Market wasn't bad.

The highlight of the episode was Sofia's "Wake up, sugar". That was just priceless.

Both the cases were interesting and I enjoyed them.

I didn't like the lack of continuity - I'm still cranky at Nick for his behaviour last week and now he and Keppler are buddies? WTH?

I did miss Catherine, but she was great when she was onscreen, so all is good.

And I have to agree: WTF was the letterwriting scene? It looked so random and it was just like...ooh, better put something with Grissom in here. Weird. Actually, read like a breakup letter to me. If only.

Overall, good episode, but would have been better without the letter thing. Weirdass.

OH MY GOD! Living doll is wicked.

now i cant wait until next season but that is over 24 weeks. after csi miami

Marg hit another ball out of the park with her acting in Law of Gravity. And Grissom holding her and consoling her at the end - another classic PureJoy moment.

Not a bad episode at all :)

Just watched Monster in a Box.

Loved the reference to Kepler. Good continuity there.

Louise Lombard in an episode for more than five minutes! Now THAT was awesome. Her acting was superb as usual.

I was SO glad to see Greg and Sara working together. It's been too long since they have and as always they did a great job as a team. Would have liked that to continue to the end, but naturally, we had to have a Grissom Sara scene, just in case we'd forgotten. *rolls eyes*

It was also nice seeing Warrick and Nick in this episode. I really liked the around the table thing with Sara, Warrick and Nick. It was so wonderful to see them all together.

I really liked the scene between Sofia and Grissom. I liked that she was seeking someone out to talk to about it. Really well done.

Marg - you were hot as always. Not enough of you in the episode, but you were still VERY hot ;)

I never got around the writing the review for 'Monster in the Box', but I must say that I did enjoy it. Probably the best MCSK episode thus far, in my opinion.

Just watched Fallen Idols.

Well written ep. As for misc thoughts:

GREG! You EXIST! It was nice to see lots of Greg - Eric was very hot.

OMG, was that Catherine working on blood spatter analysis? That was so great to see. It's her specialty and they really don't utilise it enough. Great seeing her working on that section.

Louise Lombard in that black coat. Excuse me while I curl up in a puddle and drool.

And I loved the GC scene "You are really creepy sometimes." I love them. They're so good together, the chemistry flying off the screen.

And I"m sorry, but that last scene just seemed really tacked on like "we have a few minutes left, what are we going to fill it with?" It had no relevance to the case at all. I think they should have ended it with that really poignant moment of the guy taking Charlie's photo down.

I loved this episode, actually. I've been hanging out for it all season, and it was wortch it (left the room for the final scene because I did not need to see that pointless piece of tacked on drabble).

Loved the fact Nick and Greg were working together and that they can still do the banter. Nick's "Casanova" comment made me laugh, as did the whole too-and-fro thing they had going. And it was nice to see Nick was still leading Greg through the investigation, highlighting that Greg is still learning. Hopefully Season 8 will see Greg's promotion to CSI 2 - he's due for it.

The investigation itself was very good. Nothing was given away until it was time for us to know. I liked that. I kept looking for the clues as to what happened, and they just weren't there. So much mystery - loved it.
