True, it's hard to really enjoy/like the music if you don't know what they're singing...So just try listening to any song that you want- choose it for any simple reason...You like the name of their band/group, or the cover looks cool...or ask people like me who a small collection of Japanese music, and then if you like that song, then I can translate the lyrics into English for you and then you'll hopefully understand what they're singing (if my translations are good enough)

That's so true. Then again, I don't speak lots of Greek but I listen to Greek music(especially Helena Paparizou) all the time. I actually picked up on a few Greek words that I didn't know before and I can all sing along at some parts.

Wow, I didn't even know we had this thread :p
I listened to a few songs by Antique Café, but it's not my style... at all :p

*raises hand* Mika fan here! :D

Ayumi Hamazaki just held a concert here a few weeks ago, but I'm not into her music, lol. Another Japanese singer that I really like is Miki Imai. I don't think she's well-know outside of Asia, though.

Tee hee. One of the very few good things of living in Asia is that I get to listen to the latest J-pop the soonest.

being asian, being exposed to all kinds of music is natural  i like listening in different kinds of songs even i dont understand some of them... specially when theyre used in games or animes.
