I did listen to some when I when to NYC. Flight was 8h and I was listening to radio channels so they had some Japanese TOP 20 there... Some were actually good... I'd listen to more but you never know where to start. And of course that you don't know language :p

Don't remember well... pop-ish? rock...ish?

I'm sorry, everytime I hear Japanese music mentioned, all I have in my head is songs from Final Fantasy games

Ooooh I loooove the Final Fantasy songs...I especially love "Melodies of Life" from FFIX...That was by far my fave FF game (I've only done IX and X-2 so yeah)

If you want to know some good artists that are a hit in Japan, feel free to ask moi :D

Melodies of Life is soooo great song
Then from FF VIII.... Eyes on Me.

Ooh... I'd love to know some so I could check 'em out. :D

I'll give ye the ranking of this week (for the ringtone download thingy):

1. sweet mom - shibasaki kou
2. Planetarium (sp?) - Ootsuka Ai
3. Two as One - Crystal Kay x Chemistry
4. Heaven - Hamasaki Ayumi
5. Be My Last - Utada Hikaru
6. Glamorous Sky - Nana starring Mika Nakashima
7. (dragostea din tei)
8. Endless Story - Reira starring Yuna Ito
9. Sky - Bennie K
10. Tooki hi - Undergraph

btw the singers in their fullnames are written like last name then first name...so eg like Szmanda Eric kinda...so yeah...

And other than that, I'd recommend the songs that I've mentioned above *points at one of the previous posts*

Yeah, I noticed it's last name, first name...

Wait a sec... Mika? It's a Finnish name

I'll do some searching :D

Oooh! I loved all the BubbleGum Crisis songs! Akira Sodou (spelling? i can never remember whether its ou or reversed.) is a good singer.

Really? The Mika I mentioned is made up of two different kanjis...and it makes a pretty name! The first kanji, Mi means beauty, and the second kanji, ka means auspicious, happy and stuff....

I listen to Mika Nakashima. She rocks!!!
Then I have my anime songs of course... All Digimon songs are great, in my opinion. Well, the ones sang by Wada Kouji. :)

Heh, this anime guy once sent me a final fanasty song (I thought it was the band's name) and I liked it. :p

Oh yeah if you have any Japanese songs that you like, but you don't understand what they're saying, then you can ask me and I'll translate the lyrics into some crappy beginner's English for ya :D
