Lindsay nodded towards Danny. "You guys are like family towards me, I'll stay." she said, planting herself by Danny's side, not sure how much of the conversation Mac had heard, or what he would say about it if he did hear it.

Danny pulled two chairs over for Lindsay and Stella, taking a seat in the one he was in previously. "Well.. It's a unanimous decision. You're stuck with us, Mac," Danny grinned.

Lindsay smiled and sat down in the chair next to Danny, soon reaching over to hold his hand. She just smiled and looked pretty for him.

Danny gently squeezed Lindsay's hand for a moment, running his thumb over her knuckled. He couldn't help but grin at Mac's nervous look. "Sorry, boss, but it's hard to see you nervous like this. Lindsay and I are both shocked.. Well at least I am.. to hear that you're here. It's hard to believe it wasn't under some other circumstances."

"I know the feeling" Mac nodded. "With this job, you think you know what'll land you in the hospital eventually, and it's not this."

"Amen to that." Stella commented. She stared off into space thinking. She didn't want to lose Mac, she hoped that it wasn't what they were thinking was wrong with him.

Lindsay agreed with Danny, briefly looking up at him before resting her head on his shoulder. She was afraid of losing her friend. If she had acted like she had when Stella was in the hospital, she didn't know what losing Mac would do to her.

Mac didn't get much chance to say anything else because the doctor and a couple nurses came in to take him away. "I, uh, bumped into a couple friends by accident...In the sense that one of them wound up in the other bed over there. They just want to wait a bit to see what's what, although I know reading results takes time.

"The whole package will take time, yes, but we might get the CAT scan results soon after the test is finished. Are you ready?"

"Ready as I'm going to be, I guess" he sighed.

He listened as they instructed him and climbed onto the gurney like they asked him. He found himself looking back at Stella for a long moment as they wheeled him out.

Aiden gave him a little smirk, and nipped at his ear, "Are you sure?"

Danny watched as Mac was wheeled off, calling out. "We'll be here when you get back," he said with a smile. Danny soon looked over to Lindsay, kissing the top of her head gently.

Flack shuddered a little bit. "Kind of.. is there more, ma'am?"

Flack gently kissed her back before he sat up. He scooted out from underneath her, pulling her up gently and leading her to the bedroom, trailing kissing along her jaw for a moment.
