Adrien Brody

Just rented King Kong on DVD. Brody played Jack brilliantly! I loved the emotions he conveyed on his face. I read, after seeing it, that since the movie was made Brody has been offered over 2000 movie rolls  and he joked about his (concerning the amount of scripts he is sent) 'never running out of reading material'

 Poor guy. All I can say is, he must be using a lot of those spare pieces of paper for airplanes or something ;).

He really was great in that movie. I think his hair was combed oddly :p but his acting was certainly awesome. I also noticed that the movie also has Thomas Kretschmann from the another Adrien Brody film, 'The Pianist', as the Captain.

Yeah, his hair did look a little odd--like too much was combed to one side. But that was just early in the movie. Later he had normal hair.

Wow, I didn't know that guy was Kretschmann! I'm sooo blind . Good thing I'm heading out to buy the DVD today. I went yesterday and Wal-Mart was slap out!

Anyway, some icons for Adrien. The first one is from 'Tori Amos' and the other two are from his WONDERFUL film 'Dummy'.

Ops

Also a portrait sketch I did late last year:
Brodylicious

I haven't seen King Kong since I really have no interest in the whole concept of a giant, yet loving, monkey... but... if Adrien Brody is really good in it I may rent it.

^^^^
Hummer, that portrait of Adrien Brody is awesome! It looks just like him, you are very talented. :)

You should definately see it. I think I read someone, before the movie came out, that a lot of the dialouge that is in this film (that wasn't in the original) between Jack and Ann was written by Brody.

On another note, some of you may've already heard this news when it was announced but I'll post it here for those of you who may not know. ;)

Source: USA Today
Oscar winner Adrien Brody, who currently stars in King Kong, is reportedly interested in playing The Joker in the next Batman film.

Brody told USA Today that he enjoyed Batman Begins and hopes to be considered for the role of the popular assassin in the next chapter.

“I would love to play The Joker. I think he would be deformed and creepier”, says the actor, whose competition for the role apparently includes Lachy Hulme and Paul Bettany.

Also, I agree that your sketch is very wonderful. You are very talented Hummer :D!

heh this plase is going well but i was too busy and don`t have free tiem to post here ..

well i`ll try to describe my impression of AB moves. i last week re watch 'The Pianist' on my TV cabel. again was feel so sorry for all this Jewish in 2 world wars. AB play just perfect. hi don`t have a lot fo dialogues but his presence was so strong. moste like the last part of this 'heavy' move, when AD 'hero' was going to die from hunger and one nazi captain officer help him...but for my regeret AB can`t return his favour :( all view of AB (thin, weak, delicate ,sensitive) make him fit so perfect on this role and film.

for 'King Kong ' i like the effects and the revision on the story. i don`t present AD in action moves but somehow the play AB in this film make me more concentrated and qualify i pleasure my self with this 3 h adventure :D giv him 9 form 10 point for his part in King Kong :p

but if i must be honest most i love AB in "The Jacket". the plot and the effects was done so well. AB play there so so good. like and love the way he save one girl life (change the future) and expose psychiatrical clinic which torment her patients. ..

Hummer cool AB avas and HnM love all the pics u post :D

here is a linck with Adrien Brody quotes

Thanks for the quotes, Ani. My favorite one, though it is bittersweet, is the one he said about filming the 'Pianist':

"It made me have a much greater understanding of loss, of loneliness, and the level of intense tragedy that so many people have experienced in this world, I take a lot less for granted.”

I thought it was really amazing that he gave up so much to try and connect with the sense of loss, hurt, and despair the Polish Jews had felt. Even shedding 30 lbs. off of his already lanky frame.

^^ That's one of the things I love a lot about him. I think he's willing to sacrafice what's normal with his life to try and understand a role.

I love your thoughts on his movies Pusher and welcome you back with some icons in your honor :):

Also, I was thinking we could do a pic cap thing like in the Groban thread. What do you guys think?

An article I find to be cute and creepy all at the same time . Enjoy!

BRODY'S LITTLE DOG HELPS HIM WITH KING KONG CHARACTER

Oscar-winner ADRIEN BRODY used the memory of losing his beloved Chihuahua CEELO to inspire him for the desperate chase scenes in new movie KING KONG.

The actor was forced to leave his little pet with friends while he filmed King Kong in New Zealand and he missed him dearly.

That and memories of losing the dog, a gift from his girlfriend, helped him get into character for scenes in which he was looking for his big screen love interest NAOMI WATTS.

He explains, "He was the emotional basis for the scene when I was searching for Naomi's character. She's lost in the jungle and I'm calling for her... That was very real to me.

"I've had scenarios where Ceelo has f**king disappeared on me, run away, what have you. It's the most frightening, frustrating thing because he's so small."

i now hesitate who i love more Clive Owen or Adrien Brody but this is not reason to not be here :p

Hummer again gool AB ava`s and HnM this extra info for King Kong was interesting thanks ladys for posting this stuff :)

Also, I was thinking we could do a pic cap thing like in the Groban thread. What do you guys think?

i agree but u must tell me what to do ?!!?

yesterday i don`t have a lot of free time and forgot to write for the move The Village . honestly i don`t like this kind of plot too slow motion . i watch this film only coz there was play Joaquin Phoenix but after see AB too can say that this was not lost time for me :p. Adrien Brody's character in 'The Village' was the one who was skinning the animals, right...i love his playing there and was very very pleasure my self. here is some quotes from this movie hope u like ti.

heh in the end but not last place i 'The Thin Red Line ' define giv 10 points to Sean Penn and Adrien Brody in this film. love to watch wars movies - 1998 2000 y. was go a lot of this type fims in the big screen but this one was my fav. i`m too given caz i love all the actors there :D

Clive Owen is definately one of my favs. Loved him in 'Derailed'. :)

For the cap thing we post a pic (or link, depending) of Adrien and write our own dialouge for the pic. Like this:

Adrien

Adrien: Whoa, save the cameras for when I'm more awake!

And speaking of 'The Village' AB was great as the village idiot. His hair made him look a little different but he was still recognizable via his nose :p. Now this brings to mind some more linking to Adrien's dog Ceelo Vicious: read it here.

well i will try to do this with the pic and the comment :D but first want to tell that Hummer i love ur black and white AB ava. and HnM ur post make me laugh a lot :D

Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling

I feel like I'm drowning
You know I can't breathe now
We're going nowhere
We're going nowhere

PS Clive Owen in 'Derailed' just perfect :D i love him in "Closer" and this night if i have free time hope to see his new film "Incide man" :p did u Sher see his advertisements for BMW car`s ?!?! they all are cool 5-10 min long and with great actors cast and director...
