Add a Bit (Horatio and Rick slash)

"Come on, hurry up, I'm dying of curiosity," Rick said.

Horatio opened the card as Rick jumped up from the bed and came around behind Horatio so he could see the card for himself.

The card was from Gil, and it said:

Dear Gentlemen,

You are cordially invited to the private club, The Rolling Spur, for an evening of dancing and drinks. Your Limo will be by to pick you up at 7:00PM tonight.

Yours truly,

Gil Grissom

"Hmmm look at that logo- you can tell it's a private club too, very exclusive; you have to be invited to get in." Rick said smiling. "Well, let's get ready," Horatio said in an equally eager voice. He was thinking of some new clothing he had wanted to wear...

Rick watched as his redhead went over to the closet and started to examine something on a hanger that was covered. Horatio lifted the protective cover, and Rick saw...

A suit made of an expensive fabric for warm weather in a rich but subtle royal purple hue. He went next to a drawer and found the tie and handkerchief that he would need for the night; both of these complimented the suit. Next, he found a silken deep lavender shirt. Back at the closet, he noted his box with his new, but comfortable Italian shoes.

" May I take my bath first?" he asked. When Rick nodded, the gingerhaired man took his Colonia Intensa scent collection for bathing and shaving and such from the exclusive Acqua di Parma collection. "When DID you find time to shop?" Rick teased as Horatio only answered by giving him a teasing smile as he went to the bathing area.

While Horatio took his bath, Rick went over to choose his own wardrobe for their night out. He pulled out his black satin pants from under their cover on the hanger. He smiled and eyed his shirts, wondering which one would go best with what Horatio was wearing. He chose a deep royal blue shirt. Then, looking down, he retrieved his bluish-black snakeskin cowboy boots. There was something else in the shoebox: spurs. Rick picked one of them up and chuckled as he rolled the spur wheel with his fingertip.

Rick merely nodded, he knew that these boots would turn heads, he had seen them do it before, but he didn't return anyone's interest when they had. This time when he wore them it would be for one person only and for the rest, they could look on and weep with envy and longing- a grin appeared on his face: possession works both ways, he mused....

Side by side, Horatio and Rick walked into the club looking awesome. And heads turned.

"I'm glad you wore those spurs," Horatio said. "I like the jingling sound they make as you walk. Horatio used his comment as an excuse to look behind Rick, not just at the spurs, but at the cute tight tush of the dark-haired man as well.

Rick did not say anything but instead, just looked back at his partner with a subtle smile; it began to leave the ginger haired man wondering in an amused fashion if there were more to these spurs than their appearance and sound.

They walked up to the bar and sat down with smiles on their faces.

"Evening, gentlemen," the bartender said. "What can I get you tonight?"

The two men made their orders and Rick looked at H's drink and asked: "What's in it and what's its name?" "It's got brandy, Cointreau, light rum and lemon juice," Horatio nodded, noting that it was well made. "As for the name of it- the redhead gave his beloved a kilowatt beaming smile, his best intense azure gaze and said simply: "It's called, *Between the Sheets*...." Rick let out a breath and began to squirm in the plush leather covered bar stool seat...

Horatio couldn't help but laugh. Then he put his arm around Rick, patting his shoulder. Rick shook his head and took a sip of his drink, a Blue Agave Margarita.

Rick took a very deep swallow, turning away from Horatio as he felt a deep blush cover his cheeks. As he looked to the left, he could see Gil Grissom and another CSI colleague that he knew as Nick in the distance.

"Glad to see you both here," Gil said quietly when he and Nick finally made it up to the bar where the 2 men were sitting....

"How are you?" Gil asked warmly. Then, he looked at Rick and asked, "Are you all right?"

The comment did Rick in, as far as his embarrassment and discomfort were concerned. He felt so overstimulated and this was neither the time nor the place.

Nick eyed the two men coolly and then crept up close to them taking Gil with him. "From what I can see Gris, *pop goes the weasel* would be the apt metaphor for these two right now..." Nick teased playfully and laid a hand on each man's shoulder. "Well it's still the honeymoon phase for them" Grissom teased back; "it's expected," Horatio blushed and smiled, moving in his own chair while at the same time, Rick still fidgeted a bit. "No mercy from you two, huh?" the brunet said finally, laughing to take the edge off that he was feeling.

Grissom chuckled and said, "Why don't we adjourn to one of the dining room tables," Gil motioned with his hand.

"Sounds good," Horatio said as he picked up his drink and moved off the barstool.

Horatio watched in fascination as his dark-haired partner unwrapped his long legs from around his barstool, causing the spurs to jingle. They flashed when they caught the light from above the bar.
