    The Departed

Has anyone else seen this yet? I'm a HUGE fan of INFERNAL AFFAIRS, the HK film on which this is based, but I have to say that THE DEPARTED absolutely blew me away in a way that no film has since FIGHT CLUB. Absolutely outstanding. (please delete if a similar gushing thread has already been posted)

    Greatest Series Finales

Yeah, I read somewhere that, when asked, Joss Whedon did say that he intended Angel - at least - to survive the conclusion. And probably Spike, because he has since pitched the idea of a TV Movie about the character (probably written and directed by Tim Minear). I imagine that the Black...

    Episode #501 'Rio' ***RE-AIRING DEC 4, 2006***

Re: Episode #501 'Rio' ***CONTAINS SPOILERS*** The UK are just 8 or 9 eps into S4, but I'll be darned if advance word on S5 isn't getting me more excited than when He-Man went to Etheria for SECRET OF THE SWORD, introducing She-Ra (the original 'back-door pilot', perhaps...?). It is one thing...

British Fans... Who would you cast in CSI: London?

Going off on a tangent, briefly, what song by The Who would you make the theme of this spin-off?

    Greatest Series Finales

Great thread idea! :D I gotta go with ANGEL. I think it perfectly encapsulated what the show was all about, summed it up, and managed to go out with a scene that really said it all, while ensuring that the audience knew that the characters lived on long after the show ended. No series finale...

British Fans... Who would you cast in CSI: London?

So, bringing this all together, it looks like Helen Mirren and David Tennant are definitely cast, seeing as they are getting the most informal votes... :D

    Cross-Jurisdiction or MIA/NYC Nonstop?

This is part of my reason for choosing Nonstop over CJ. I understand that Petersen was vocal in his opposition to there being a spin-off (whether he flat-out refused to be on-screen with the Miami cast I've never seen confirmed, so I'll leave that to one side), and I think that the lack of his...

The Last Film You Saw? Thread 2.

Severance - not quite up to Shaun of the Dead standards, but a great way to spend an hour and a half!

British Fans... Who would you cast in CSI: London?

Yeah, they are all English actors, mostly television based. I was trying to be realistic with the cast. For example, a dream English cast could include actors and actresses like Clive Owen, Kate Winslet, etcs, but if a London-based spin-off was commissioned tomorrow, the likelihood would be that...

British Fans... Who would you cast in CSI: London?

Advance apologies if a similar thread has been posted in the past, but I didn't see one, and this has been something I've wondered about for a while. Imagine a fourth CSI show was commissioned and set in London... it's your job to create the team? Forget that crime scene investigators in...

    Officer Blue

One of my favourite eps from the first season, but I have to say it's one of the few instances where Stella actually got on my nerves. I don't know if it's my own compassion for the horse, or whether Mac's obvious compassion drew me in, but I really wanted Mac to tell her to (expletive deleted)...

    Grade Season Two

I give it a A-. I think Danny has blossomed into a great supporting character, and that Sinise is pure genius as Mac - TV is a medium made for this actor. However, I've yet to warm to Lindsay, and I'm still not sure how I feel about Dr. Hawkes being in the field. Also, Flack should get more...

    Miami rantage...

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that, while I completely agree that Horatio dominates Miami in ways that neither Gil or Mac dominate their respective shows, I do think that it makes for completely compulsive television that is unique from its predecessor and successor. I know...

    Welcome To The CSI:Miami Forum!

Hello!!! Hello, Just thought I'd introduce myself and what not. Miami is my favourite of the three shows, but British television's inexplicable decision to begin new seasons of Miami in July, rather than January, may cause me to tread very carefully on this wing of the boards, for I don't...
