Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

i wanted to know why sofia's called spork as well.
and i'm pretty sure jorja fox doesn't eat fish, but don't quote me on it. she's a big supporter of peta, and they preach cutting out every kind of meat (as well as any kind of animal product).

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

1. That term for Sofia wasn't for endearment it was a derogitory nickname created along time ago when people disliked Sofia when she first came on. The difference is we have asked that, that comment not be used here because it is a derogitory term and in my opinion a useless one. While it referres to the character and not the actress its still the matter of it. (Note I know you were just asking but felt the need to add that last part no harm done).

2. There is a JF/SS thread, but we do encourage any discussions on vegitarians be directed to the MISC forum there is a thread on this this subject, if you go into past JF/SS discussion threads there was some talk about it.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

what is the name of the episode when nick is on a case and him and vartann get into an arguement and i think at the end of the episode vartann says something like i'll take that appology now and nick is like ok and walks away. i can't remember the episode???

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

Actually it wasn't Vartann, it was Cavaliere and Nick.
Its in Season 5 ep 17 ""Compulsion" <-- Link to transcript. But the line you are thinking is:

DET.CAVALIERE: Hey.(Nick turns and looks at him.) You owe me an apology.
NICK: I'm sorry ...that you feel that way.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

I was wondering if anyone knew how old Walt and Tony Braun were? How old are they in comparison to Catherine? I assumed that they were nearly 10 years younger, but someone else I know assumed that they were much older than her.

Anyone have any idea?

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

What does TPTB mean? I have read it several times on the board. I don't think it is related to a specific episode or character, but I didn't know where else to ask this.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

It means "The Powers That Be" and means the producers/creators of CSI. I don't really know where it came from, maybe someone else will be able to go into more detail. But I hope it helped a bit...

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

From Wikipedia.org:

"The powers that be" (TPTB) is a phrase used to refer to any group that holds power over a certain entity: politicians, television and film writers, CEOs, etc. The phrase derives from the King James Version of the Bible, although it first appeared in Tyndale's translation of 1526, with the meaning "the established political powers": "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: The powers that be are ordained of God" (Romans 13:1).

I was wondering if anyone knew what episode it is when grissom pushes sara up against the bloody sheet and holds her arms up as a sort of reeanactment of a murder?

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

Ahhh, the famous "Pin Me Down" scene. That's in Invisible Evidence, season 4.

Does anyone know in which episode Warrick and Sara are in a garage and Sara has some kind of dirt on her face? Then Warrick points it out, and she tries to rub it off but just ends up smudging it?

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *NO Spoilers

thanks brookesidle, one more question, wich episode was it when sara and nick are investigating a murder at a farm and nick needs to check and see if the pigs were fed any human body parts and refer to a case in canada (willie pickton case where he killed prostitutes and fed some of them to his pigs, im going to watch his trial wiht my law class!) i think it was season 6?
