Danny/Flack #6 - Bottom Line: Flack Wants Danny

^Aww...Flack really is chivalrous. Letting Danny sit while he stands. So cute. And I agree with you, Faylinn. Danny doesn't always treat Don right. Maybe it's just him not wanting to admit he's gay? It happens. But that's no excuse for treating DOn badly.

I love this. I just love that even newbies to the ship figure this out like lightning! Yeah, some of us have considered that like of thought too. Danny has shown himself to yearn for approval often, mostly from Mac ... though in 3x23, he also showed that he respected Flack's opinions and therefore, most likely looked for the guy's approval too.

So, there is the big possibility that Danny is the more reserved one while Flack is the blatant stare man with the blatant emotions on his face between Danny's afraid of Flack's feelings for him. Or rather, that he's found love, the real thing, in Flack. Who happens to be a man. And homosexuality ain't so welcome in the force.

That screencap of Flack standing and Danny sitting is wonderful. If anybody comes up and says TPTB just wants them to be in the camera view ... it should be Flack sitting since he's so tall! :p But no, it's Danny sitting instead and Flack standing next to him like a loyal bodyguard. Such a chivalrous gentleman, that Flack.

Lorelai, I love that cap. There is really nothing that Flack wouldn’t do for Danny. I’m waiting for the episode in which Flack carries Danny’s kit… it’s only a matter of time; I’m sure it will happen…
Unfortunately we won’t see how Danny repays Flack for being so chivalrous.
It’s a pity, but I have a vivid imagination…

Too bad Danny doesn't always treat him right. :( He must have his reasons, but I can't imagine that any of them are worth hurting Don over. I mean, come on, this is Don we're talking about here. :(
I still think that Danny depends on Flack’s friendship. Flack is the one who is always there for him, the one person he can really trust. I guess that means a lot to Danny and IMO he doesn’t want to risk what he has in Flack. So going further and starting a relationship might be something Danny doesn’t want to chance because he is afraid that he could loose Flack as a friend too, if the relationship shouldn’t work. So instead of doing what would be right (Danny belongs to Flack) he screws around with the scrunched face cowgirl, the one person who will certainly hurt him. There he gets exactly what he expects (poor treatment) but it is a relationship which is socially more accepted (which sucks). And to fit in this disaster of a relationship he treats Flack really poorly and might risk what he wanted to protect in the first place, his friendship to Flack. :(

As for Danny calling Flack by his first name, yeah, the first time he called Flack that was in the diner scene at On the Job. I loved that; the fact Danny used Don instead of Flack said volumes about the depth of their friendship. And of course, there's the fact Danny called Flack, of all the people, when he was in his worst situation and feeling low and mad and unhappy. That said volumes too.
Yeah. It's like he reserves calling Flack by his first name during those personal, outside-the-job moments. Danny went to Flack in his time of vulnerability. Trusts him enough to talk to him about what's on his chest.

I think that's why when they're together on a case, Flack hovers a bit--he wants to make sure nothing happens to his Danny on his watch.
Flack follows the Danny around. Not just stares at him. Season 1, the case with "loomi" (I'm dumb with ep titles) -- while Danny was processing and 'splaining, Flack was listening intently and following Danny around. tee-hee.

Isn't it great these two have so many nicknames for each other and they love bantering with one another? We should totally compile a list of all the bantering they've done.
Flack's the first one to give Danny a nickname other than "Danny", right? LOL. Dan, Danno, Mess.... he's creative!

Flack is the one who is always there for him, the one person he can really trust.
I bet my savings (which is not a lot btw haha) that when this D/L thing falls apart, Danny'll be talking to Flack or Flack would be the first one to notice that something is not right with Danny.

Bingo. :D I don't think either Flack or Danny sees it as Danny not treating Flack right--I don't think that's the case either. I think Danny is terrified of losing the one person who does seem to love and care about him unconditionally. We've never seen Flack judge Danny, not once. But a romantic relationship is so much more intimate, and, much as we know he adores Danny, I'm sure that if they were involved there would be times that Flack would get frustrated and let that show. And of course, Danny's biggest fear would be Flack deciding Danny wasn't worth the trouble and breaking up with him. And then Danny would lose the one person who does love him.

Of course, Flack wouldn't do that, but Danny doesn't know that. And so, just like you say, that's why Danny chooses the person who has hurt him, who he knows will hurt him again: Lindsay. No surprises that way. ;)

But as we've seen, whether Lindsay is in his life or not, it's Flack he turns to when he's in trouble or to share his deepest thoughts and fears.

The potential for angst between them is so huge. But so is a happy ending, thanks to Flack and his stability and good character. (However, if season four spoilers and speculations come true ... :()

:D :D :D Let us see Danny's trust in Flack in pictures!

When Danny's down and stuck in the worst situation of his life, who does he call? That's right. Flack. Look at the Danny's expression. He's this close to wanting to ask Flack to tell him everything is going to be alright and that Flack's going to take care of everything. In a sense, Flack did tell him that, except it wasn't quite what Danny wanted to hear.

When Danny's had a grueling day at court and he's doubting himself and wondering why he's doing what he is, who does he call? That's right. Flack. Ohhh, he could have been with somebody else but nope, he choose to be with the person whom he really desires to be with. ;)

And who does Danny call when Irish mobsters have beaten the crap outta him and his brain's probably shaken six ways to Sunday?

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Flack. And his expression at hearing Danny in pain says it all.

Season four is going to be more angst, I suspect, from both of them. Although, all things considered, it's about time Flack was the cause of some of the grief instead of the recipient. Not that I'm saying that's his plan, but how many times is he going to sit there and let Danny kick him around? He'll still be a good friend, but he's not going to keep waiting for Danny to get over himself and open his eyes. Flack has needs in the meantime. ;)

Eventually, however, they'll come together. The song "God Bless the Broken Road" comes to mind. ;)

But I love the picture evidence of Flack being there for Danny. (I still need to try to get a screencap of "Shock to the System" where the two characters are in a similar pose to the bar scene from NY...)

Well, it would be nice to have a scene next season where they fight. Like exchange of words similar to the scolding Mac gave Danny on "On the Job". Flack mouthing off and Danny doing some finger-pointing of his own. Kinda like a "rough spot" in their friendship. I can just imagine how tense their scenes after that will be.

As for the spoilers, like I posted on Faylinn's blog post, "Flack wants to make Danny jealous."

^Flack and Danny fighting? Oh wow, Danny would definitely not be able to deal. I think he'd be really, really hurt. Flack is the one person who has never criticized him, even when maybe he should have. Flack does put Danny up on a pedestal a little bit--Danny's like his sweet little angel who can do no wrong--but I think Flack needs to see Danny for what he is a little more. Danny's not perfect--no one is. And really, if Flack wants to get through to him, he's going to have to stop treating Danny like he's a little prince.

Though, I still do love the chivalry.  :D

Flack must get his Danny in the end! :D

Flack pretty much was like, "Let Mac and I handle it, baby!" but Danny took that to mean that no one cared how he felt about what was going on and stormed out. Danny can be so oblivious sometimes! Like Flack would rush out of bed to meet anyone else early in the morning while he's working an important case. ;)

Exactly! We know who he calls when he wants someone who actually cares about him. ;) And look at the way Flack is looking at him! Damn, that man is just smitten. So in love with his Danny! And Danny is so cute and bashful, not looking at Flack but at the glass instead. He knows Flack is looking at him and likes to play coy. ;)

Poor Flack--he looked just gutted in that moment. :( His baby was in pain and in danger! But yes--it was Flack Danny called when he needed rescuing. Just like he always does. ;)

It might hurt Danny if Flack would criticize him, but Danny needs to wake up. He needs someone to kick his ass and tell him that he has to change a few things in his life. And Flack has to realize as you have said that Danny is far away from being perfect. He has a shitty intuition when it comes to judging someone’s character. Hell he called Shane Casey the only normal guy at the party in HOTD and he somehow figured it would be a good idea to get involved with a self-centered and egoistic person from Montana… So Flack really needs to talk to Danny…

Great pictures and they certainly prove the fact that Flack is the one who is always there for Danny, and Danny knows that Flack would never let him down. And whenever Danny needs someone he calls Flack because he really trusts him. Oh poor Flack looks desperate in the Snow Day pic. That must be his worst nightmare. Danny is in pain and his life is in danger and there is nothing he can do to help him immediately. That car right to the warehouse must have seemed like an eternity for Flack…

Not only is Flack always there when Danny calls him he also seems to feel when Danny needs him or is in a situation where he needs someone to listen or to just be there. And Flack is always there even if Danny hasn’t called.

He was at the hospital in RSRD and he stayed with Danny. And I’m convinced that Flack would have stayed even if Mac wouldn’t have asked to do so.

He is there in Heroes after they found out about Aiden’s death. Okay they were working the case together, but I’m sure Flack was also there to check, if Danny was okay.

And in HOTD after they had arrested Shane and Danny became kind of emotional in the car on their way back, he stayed outside with Danny. Think about it, they just arrested a serial killer; I would think Flack would escort him inside, making sure that the guy got into his cell, but Flack stayed with Danny.
And because I love the pic:

Okay I know I’m biased and I probably interpret too much into these scenes but it is just too much fun... ;)

Anyway for season four I would love to see it the other way around for once. I want to see Danny being there for Flack in a situation in which Flack really needs him. Bonus points if he would stand the cowgirl up to rush to Flack’s site. :p :D

I think Flack knows that Danny's not without his faults. And he could see the man's downfalls.

And yet, he lets it pass. Or if he does give hints about it, he's subtle. Flack knows Danny very much... enough to know how to approach him. And probably when time comes, he's confident enough to confront him. And Danny could be caught by surprise by it -- Flack being straight-forward to him and telling him as it is, not hiding behind the work rules and whatever formalities.

I believe Flack is capable of doing that. Everybody has a breaking point.

Danny isn't perfect and Flack does need to realize that. Good point about Danny having a shitty judge of character--whether it be about suspects or people he chooses to date. ;)

Poor Flack! I can totally see him gripping the steering wheel and speeding to get to that warehouse! You just know the siren was blaring for that ride over.

Oh, without a doubt. Wasn't Flack the one who called Mac about Louie being hurt in the first place? I have no doubt that the minute he heard that over the radio, he was on his way to the hospital to be with Danny.

"We're not going anywhere."--definitely the most romantic words ever spoken on CSI: NY.

He is there in Heroes after they found out about Aiden’s death. Okay they were working the case together, but I’m sure Flack was also there to check, if Danny was okay.

He was, and he knew just the right balance between letting Danny talk a little about Aiden and keeping Danny on task. Flack is just so good with Danny, and Danny visibly relaxes around him, even if he's upset about something. Flack makes him feel safe.

And in HOTD after they had arrested Shane and Danny became kind of emotional in the car on their way back, he stayed outside with Danny. Think about it, they just arrested a serial killer; I would think Flack would escort him inside, making sure that the guy got into his cell, but Flack stayed with Danny.

Awww, good point! I never thought of it that way, but you're totally right. Flack is a homicide detective--of course he'd walk the suspect in to be booked! Unless, of course, his beautiful baby is with him and upset about something, in which case, yeah, Flack would totally hand the guy off and stay with Danny. So cute and sweet! :D

And yeah, in season four I'd love to see Danny being the one to provide emotional support--if that's something he's capable of, lol!

Whee! Danny and Flack tackling yet another dude to the ground together. Can't post photos but my dirty little mind is hoping someone will make with the pics (purty please). :)

And because I love the pic:

hotd.jpg

LOVE THIS too. Same pose, same facial expression.... everything! Do they even realize they're doing it? Hahahahhaa....

"We're not going anywhere."--definitely the most romantic words ever spoken on CSI: NY.
Where was this said? (I'm still high on flu meds haha)

^It's from RSRD, when Flack is watching over Danny so that the Tanglewood Boys don't come after him. :D

Was it just me, or was Flack a lot...gruffer last night? There was something really aggressive in all his movements--he really seemed like a tough cop. Not that he hasn't before, but it seemed to me to be moreso than ever last night. Is the man in Kinkapoodle withdrawal? :(

I love how fast Flack was after that guy Danny was chasing. If he's around, he really doesn't ever let Danny go after anyone alone, does he? :D He's just not taking any chances with bad guys where his baby's concerned. I love how he asked if Danny had it, and then proceeded to cuff the guy himself, or continue to hold him down, I can't remember which.

Gotta say, I loved Danny's reaction to the liquid condom. I think he's not used to being the one to worry about such things. ;)
