Blue Bloods

Ohoh, I finally caught with this show. It felt first bit slow but watched a few episodes and boom, all watched now. I honestly thought there would be more Will Estes but.. hey, Tom Selleck is a kickass. Not as kickass as Gary Sinise or Bruce Willis but he's a kickass. And the good ol' moustach!! ( I call those kind of things always as "West-Germany moustache" )

And I always thought Wahlberg brothers as very annoying but I have to say Donnie (even still being bit annoying) is much less so than Mark.
I just dislike Mark Wahlberg. Saw him in Graham Norton Show and couldn't watch it.

Just read this piece today about Jennifer Esposito. I'm already pissed at CBS for cancelling CSI: Miami, and now they let this great actress go when they KNOW SHE'S SICK?!? Totally not cool and very unprofessional. She should get her acting union involved and hire an attorney. I think she's got a good case.

I read about that... I thought that was wrong...

Seems like CBS gave Sheen millions of dollars when they didn't want to give Melina Karandaras money.

Exactly! I'm thinking TPTB at the network think Celiac is some kind of "made-up disease," so she couldn't possibly be showing signs of illness and needing a shorter work-schedule. I wonder if Ms. Esposito had been diagnosed with some type of cancer that most of the public is familiar with, would they have even done this to her. It boggles the mind!!!

Bought the first 2 seasons. I am so glad I gave the show a chance. Strong storylines, great banter. Love Jamie.

I haven't really given the show a chance even though it took me a few years to get into CSI: NY. I think the first season I watched NY was 7th season but thanks to TNT and Spike, I was all caught up.

I really do need to give BB a chance cause NY is done with their episodes.

EDIT: Also, it will be interesting how it does when NY is done and Golden Boy takes its spot.

You will totally enjoy it. At first I didn't want to give it a chance then I saw the preview for the premiere and I was hooked. Half way through S2 and it has bern a roller coaster ride.

As for Golden Boy I will do what I did with Made in Jersey turn the tv off while its on and then turn it back on for Blue Bloods.

I watched last night's episode and I think it was okay.

Did the cut down on the amount of characters or something from when it first started?

So, Chief Regan has his sons as police officers, Danny and Jamie. And his daughter is the assistant Deputy District Attorney.

Did I miss anyone?

There is another son Joe. Joe was murdered before the first episode aired. Joe gets a mention here and there but it's generally in passing. Joe's murder is one of the reasons Jamie decided to become a cop rather than use his law degree from Harvard.

Frank Regan's Dad is also an ex-cop and a past Chief of Police. The Regan Family is very cop and law enforcement oriented.

Yeah, that's the whole deal--I think the oldest son died during 9/11, right? Or, it was during the line of duty, I can never remember which.

No Joe was killed while investigating dirty cops. Then Jamie became a cop and was approached by two feds then started investigating them which they refer to them as 'Blue Templar'.
