Photoshop Help Thread

I have Photoshop 7.

I was trying to follow that tutorial to lighten dark caps and I came across a problem. While trying to follow this step (step 5):

Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer.
Red: R: 130 G: -30 B: 0
Green: R: -15 G: 115 B: 0
Blue: R: -58 G: 130 B: 40

When I try to do that, it comes up like this:

so there's no way I can adjust the colors the way the tutorial says to. There's no place to adjust the numbers of each color.

When that screen comes up click OK. Then you can type in the settings for the channel mixer.

Just click OK on it. It always comes out whenever you have to work with layers

BTW, I've PS 7 too and today I can't seem to open it at all. Once it comlpletes the uploading it shuts down and the application disappears . Am I the only one with this kind of problem?

Never happen to me, maybe if you restart your computer, it'll help That happen to my Sony Vegas days ago and just restart my computer and it was back to normal again .

Mine locks up sometimes after the uploading thing. Then I have to control alt delete to close it out. And then I just reopen it.

I tried that tutorial though and after following all steps my icon came out really red. I couldn't get the red out, so I had to adjust some more. Maybe the cap wasn't dark enough. :lol: It was more too yellow than anything else. :lol: But, now I know a little more about playing with the coloring, so maybe that'll help in the future.

Ok thanks everyone for the advises, but yep my pc is just idiot and I'm not going to solve it. Maybe I got a virus or maybe not, still my pc doesn't know how to work properly. So I won't have PS for a while

It might be a corrupt font on your computer, have you installed any new ones lately perhaps? Other than that I'd also suggest reinstalling it. If that doesn't help maybe try resetting your preference files.

Ok I have never looked for tutorial on Wallpapers and I just googled for some of them. I also came to the conclusion that they're kinda the same as icons making (I mean it terms of coloring and how to put the texture on it), though I found a couple of tutorial which may help you with some special effects
