It sounds like she's dog aggressive, which is usually by lack of socializing with other dogs in his early years. So now she's developed a fear of them. If you can afford it, a trainer who comes to your house might work better than taking him to a course. Do some research on dog behaviour. Books by Ceasar Milan the Dog Whisperer are great as he goes into details as to dog behaviour in general and what kind of things can knock them off balance. No matter what your breed of dog is, they need to remember you are the pack leader and you are the one in charge, if they sense you are easy to dominate, they will take charge because dogs need to be part of a pack to thrive.
It's been awhile since I've posted in this thread as some of you may remember from my countless other user names (Hard2Handle) being the one I think I posted the pictures under, my aunt ran a dog rescue program and works at a shelter and I ended up taking a lot of the dogs in. Some of them have since passed and I went to having 9 and I know have 6. Lol! I was going to search this on the internet but thought i would ask you. should springer spaniels ears be trimmed? Becasue Oscars are very long and feathery! his actal fur is about 1 inch longer than his ear. So should i trim this back to shape his ear? Something_wicked I love your dog Greggo! He's so cute.
According to most grooming books, for a springer spaniel, the hair on the bottom half of the ear should be kept long.. kind of like a "skirt".. when you get him groomed for the first time, they should trim the top half of the ear, but the bottom should not be shaped to the flap. Generally speaking, dogs with long ears do best with hair that isn't shaped to the ear, it gives them a little padding and protection.
I totally like reading in this thread. I don´t have a pet any more. When I was younger I had a rabbit. All your pictures really make me want a pet again. Oscar looks soooooo cute. Especially on the first picture he looks adorable. His face:adore:. I wish I had a bigger apartment to have a dog. They are so sweet, too.

Speedy, your dog Rogen is sooo cool I wish I could have one... my mom don't like dogs and so that's no option at least not as long as I live with her But I have a cat named Juri and a guinea pig named Charlie... Next week I'll post some pics of the two guys
