I'd like to see an old case brought back like they've done before (The Unusual Suspects, for example)...maybe some follow up to Gum Drops or *gasp* even Grave Danger!!

Smokey, are you actually talking about continuity here

Hey, they mentioned Stalker this season, so who knows. Maybe next season, there'll be someone buried underground (like Crate 'n' Burial), and he can say that was "a long time ago" too.

I agree with wanting to see him more with Brass (although I'm not sure how I feel about Brass atm, after the finale ). I'd like to see Drops back too, if it's better than Pool Shark.

I'd like to see Nick work with kids again too - he was great in Lost & Found, and I need more positive stuff like that to erase that scene from Irradiator from my memory. :)

He definitely needs to become supervisor if/when Cath leaves - but involved in field work as much as Grissom was, not always in the office/lab like Cath seems to be a lot. I'd like to see him 'mentoring' newer people more too - with everyone else so experienced, and Ray all-knowing, there hasn't been much of that lately. Something like Evaluation Day, but with Nick on the other side now, passing on the wisdom he's learned.

I finally watch Gum Drops and I really loved that episode!! I felt in love with nick all over again lol . I pass the whole episode like " awww". And im not joking on that one XD

What's this? A GUY posting in the Nick thread? What is the world coming to?!

I'd actually like to add my own views on this point which Speedy raised:
What would everyone like to see for Nick next season (if he resigns) and he better. :)
One thing I'd really, really like is for Nick not to get his gun out every episode. Last season it was getting beyond ridiculous, it's as if the writers made his gun become surgically attached to his hand and they're turning him into a cop, not a CSI. Please, drop the gun for just a few episodes!

I really enjoyed Gum Drops and Turn Turn Turn but I'm not sure I'd like to see another episode where Nick shows similar emotions to those, I'd like to see a case which angers him or the creation of a recurring character who Nick loathes, I think it would be good to bring out his dark side a little (i.e. in For Warrick), I think we've seen plenty of emotion from Nick already.

A love interest at this point would be realistic, just as a background character of course, I just find it unrealistic that every guy who works in the lab can't get a date. (Or one which lasts longer than one episode.) It's about time that Nick gets some lovin' in his life. ;)

More Nick/Catherine interaction would be great. Seeing as Catherine's moving on and where Nick goes from there is relatively unknown so I'd like to see Catherine give Nick some tips or some pivotal cases where his leadership can really shine. Actually he works great with pretty much every character but he's been stuck with Ray so much that we never get to see it.

Oh and finally, maybe a chance to see his family again would be nice. We know about his parents but has he mentioned any siblings or close family members, that would be interesting to bring them in. :)

PraetorCorvinus feels the need to come in and give us his 2 cents worth every once in a while.

When I first signed up on TalkCSI we had a regular contributor in both The Ward and here in Texan Charm who was male. :)

I might be alone in this but I honestly don't mind it. It's a part of Nick at this point and comes from the experiences he's had. He's the type of person who's not going to send even the cops who are supposed to be there to protect him to do something he won't do himself.

At one point last season when someone was complaining that he had his gun out in every episode I went through them all and listed the ones he didn't have the gun out for. If it makes you feel better tho, you can take Grissom & Catherine when supervisors, if/when Nick becomes a supervisor he's going to have a hell of a lot of trouble getting out of the lab and therefore won't be taking out the gun as often. ;)

I don't mind a little gun porn now and then....or even a lot of gun porn. ;)

I do like seeing Nick show his emotions. It's part of his character. But I could make room for a little anger too, as long as it doesn't turn into something like Ray where he had a nemesis at every turn.

I believe the last time was when he was stirring us up over the term *poo eyes* in relation to a comment that I made about chocolate :guffaw:

Crumbs, howdy! Your comments are insightful and welcomed!!

You're both not alone, I don't have a problem with a gun-toting Nick either! The reason for me, maybe, is that I was already used to watching NY, where everyone is a detective as well, so it's pretty normal for all of the shows I watch. I love the total evolution of Nick over 11 seasons, but I'm pretty hooked into the way his character is now :adore:

George said once that he took the role of Nick because he *wanted to pack heat* so I wonder how much input he has in this area with the writers. I love the science part too, but I also love me some gun porn!

Blackflag, assuming you were referring to S10, do you still have that list of episodes? I know I was pretty happy to see him pull his gun in Meat Jekyll

Smokey, I definitely agree with you about seeing some anger, but not the Ray and a nemesis part :p

On a side note, I just re-watched Irradiator last night, and when Brass was chastising Ray in the hospital, Ray had the same pouty look on his face as he did in L.A. this season when Cath was doing the same. Again, it's just remarkable how much of a 180 that Brass flipped from then until now. :(

I think that was me complaining about the gun so much, blackflag. :) I do understand why Nick does it, and I don't mind that part - perhaps a better way to say it would be that we'd like to see less "danger" situations overall, so less need for anyone to have a gun out every episode. I like the science/evidence side of CSI, figuring out what happened after the fact, not getting right in the middle of it or acting like they're cops themselves (sometimes I have to go re-watch Play with Fire just to cheer at Brass chewing out Sara for entering a scene before the cops cleared it).

I think the only gun scene that really bothered me this season was Blood Moon, because they didn't have any cops with them at all, and it also seemed a bit excessive with Ray's death grip thing. I don't mind so much when Nick's just backing up the cops or something. I really liked the scene in Father of the Bride though, when Akers made Nick let him go first.

Maybe it's just me, but I giggle when Nick gets mad sometimes. He's just to cute to be angry. :)

Grissom managed to get out of the lab fairly often, so I'm hoping Nick follows in his footsteps, rather than Catherine's (I hope her staying in the lab so much is because Marg wanted to cut back, not because that's what supervisors do now).

He had good nostril flare when he gets angry or emotional. :adore:

I do think that's why she's been in the lab more often than not. I just can't see them making Nick supervisor and then not having him in the field. It would be a huge waste of talent. :)

Grissom hated the paperwork. He tried to be out of the lab as much as possible. I remember several times when he was 'encouraged' by his superiors to complete forms and once I think by Catherine who wanted to go to a conference. ;)

I know that these people are CSIs and really shouldn't be doing police work, however...(now come on you knew that was coming )

Unlike the other CSIs, Nick was a trained cop before he became a CSI. So he does have a little more experience with this than the others.

I'm good with a gun. :D

I agree he needs another character to annoy him. That's why I love Drops so much. He gets on Nick's nerves. So did precious Ricky, but they killed him off.

hello everyone! Good passing by I saw another topic talking about George he is perfect ne? Lol I'm a big fan of CSI Las Vegas, here is the open TV in Brazil so that when the station was removed so this csi ny Tanba passing is very good.:)
