 perhaps he wants to keep it for looks. Or to deceive suspects...such as wolf man.

For me, 'Blood Moon' was a little bit boring - the case specifically. Thanks to Hodges sneaking into Cath/Lou's conversation. And also, I like Cath/Lou's scenes together. They are very professional and they keep the romance going on. I also feel bad for Hodges missing Wendy. I like Ray and Nick's reaction when they found the room full of vampires -as if everybody would catch then and drink their blood! Overall it's good. I think CSI is reserving the awesomeness for next week's episode. I can't wait!

Ahhhh...you are right about the date. I didn't even pay attention that they had "caught up". Yeah...I would think he wouldn't need it now.

I like this new Nick. He's a rough and tumble dude. I love watching him work with Ray. He's blossomed as a character and as a CSI.

I found myself very pleasantly surprised by this episode. I was expecting not to like it, as the subject matter seemed very derivative. But it was very much a team effort, which I appreciate, Catherine was very much the leader, completely in charge, and the humor was a nice touch.

My only complaints were no Brass (oh, he could've had a field day with this one), and the gal playing the killer bride didn't deliver a very convincing performance, IMO. But those are minor quibbles. As my husband said at the end, with a chuckle, "It's still a good show!"

Yes he has, and the girl was getting abused and Ray stepped in to save her from this creep, and Nick was 100% behind him, with these "werewolves? Nick: "Everybody be cool, be cool now boys" Was he [Ray] supposed to stand by and do nothing? he saved this girl and let this guy know he couldn't get away with this kind of obnoxious treatment of her~Nick has always been behind his team and this time he was as well!

Well I watched (and by watched I mean fastforwarded through the crap that I couldn't bear) and I have to say that the only things I really liked were the Catherine and Vartann stuff. A hot scene to start off? Yeah daddy. I thought the combo of the music, the making out, and then flashing to the crime was really brilliant. Then the credits rolled, and it was kinda downhill from there. You gotta give some credit to Marg and Alex cause they totally have this amazing chemistry that we haven't really seen on the show before. They can have that roll in the sack then have a nice tender scene at the end where Cath says she doesn't want to ruin it by moving in. I'm glad they decided not to go that route. It really would ruin the relationship. I also liked Hodges giving relationship advice. That was a nice touch.

Other than that, the episode flat out sucked (haha, I said sucked while talking about vampires!) to me. It just didn't hold my ADHD infested mind, and it was kinda...odd to me. I mean, I understand/accept the fact they feel they have to cash in on the hot trends (Twilight) but they just went about it the wrong way. And seriously, WTF is up with Ray and his anger issues? How long before he gets in trouble, or causes someone to get released from jail due to his anger? Someone needs to put their foot down and tell him to knock it off.

So in conclusion, after the last two amazing eps, this was a let down. The only thing that saved it was the VCR. =/

Can't wait for next week though.

Ray was so cool in this episode and "anger issues' UH, who wouldn't be angry after getting stabbed and losing a body part. I thought he was extremely controlled and had his act together throught out this episode. One of his best acting roles ever in this one. He's so calm cool and collected, and was in control except when a girl was being threatend:confused: And his co-worker Nick was 100% behind him in this as well. The rest with the other team members were not important, and rather irrelevant next to the team camraderie with these two. They were fantastic in this episode~

Uh, a lot of characters have been in peril/hurt (case in point: Nick, Grave Danger; Greg: Fannysmackin'; Sara: Dead Doll; Cath: Built to Kill) and never have they gone out 5 months later and choked a suspect. They are forcing Ray down our throats as this Superman/can't be stopped character, and it's getting lame.

As for the other "irrelevant" character stuff, they are obviously using this "irrelevant" stuff to set up an exit for Marg come the end of the season. Now, no one knows how they are gonna write her out, but they are giving several outlets to work with, be it going to work with Sam's casinos, or marrying Vartann, or the drastic route of them killing her/Lou/both off. Every team member is important (hence the reason they call it an "ensemble" cast)...after all, Hodges found the hairs, Greg/Sara found TimberWolf, Cath supervised the case...it wasn't just Nicky and Ray. They are a team. Everyone had a part of it.

4 1/2 months?! I missed that memo! lol

Agreed even after Nick and Sara almost died they didn't go about attacking suspects. I could see why Langston's angry but you can't take it out on other people.

True true with Nicky. Whoops lol.

I'm all for self defense but it seemed like Langston has some extra rage and doesn't know what to do with it ?

Yeah...the dates on the receipts for the wedding stuff were current. :)

Of course, Nick did go after the one kid in the interrogation room in "Gum Drops", after which Sara said she was certain that "six months ago" he "wouldn't have lost it like that". To which he agreed, apologized, and they moved on. :)

For whatever reason, I didn't interpret Ray's choke-hold to be a response provoked by anger; I just thought he was protecting himself from what looked to be a potentially dangerous suspect (and also letting the others know he was not someone to be trifled with). Would it fly in a real-life investigation? Of course not. But neither would most of what we see on "CSI" for that matter.

I'd hardly call what Langston did an "attack". He was defending himself and Nick's life. He's a cop.

Yes, Langston should be on leave but knowing how CSI works they're probably understaffed as usual and Catherine couldn't afford him being gone. He's walking around with a cane which is at least giving the audience the impression that he's still in the process of healing. That's better than him just coming back and acting like nothing happened.

And also, I like the reference given to season 1 episode 'Justice is Served' where a woman drank human blood to survive. I think it's cool!

Okay, I've been reading about all Ray's anger issues and how supportive Nick is being, but WTF! Ray wouldn't have had to deal with the punk if he and Nick had followed protocol and had a detective with them. Vartan or Brass would have dealt with Timberwolf. There must be serious financial cutbacks at the LVPD (just as at CBS) to allow what's happening. Ray is going to end up getting himself hurt again or, even worse in my book, get one of the other CSI's hurt or killed.

Ray's character has changed a lot from his initial start on CSI. I kinda liked Ray in the beginning when he was trying to find his way in his new job. But now when I hear him telling the others what to do (Nick at least once this epi) and relaying information to them like it's their first day on the job and he's been around forever, I find it harder to accept him.

I know I'm gonna get blasted on this, but here goes....If Ray was the truly experienced CSI he believes he is he wouldn't have allowed himself to get so complacent around Haskell and have gotten hurt like that in the first place. Okay I realize that TPTB need to utilize him due to his salary, but come on, even though I'm watching this for entertainment, I'm not watching it for fantasy. If I wanted fantasy I'd go ahead and watch that teen franchise dealing with vampires and werewolves.

Please PTB just give us back what made CSI so popular in the first place. I don't care who you have on the salary, but make it at least plausible. Respect the rules of the game, just the way all of us have to respect the rules of our own jobs. I don't get to boss my coworkers around on the job, but I could ask them to help, especially those that have more experience than I do.

End of rant. I apologize if I've offended anyone, it was not my intention. I love this show and don't want it limping off into the sunset.
