Well, I think we all knew that this would be her last season. She has indicated that before. I was always hoping that if she left the show it would be to run the Braun Empire with Det. Vartann heading up security.

At least she isn't leaving mid-season, I'm getting tired of those exits.

So let's see will that make Nick supervisor or tptb going to bypass that and make Langston supervisor?

So, everyone took a pay cut? That's interesting.

Langston is still a CSI 2 so I don't think that he would be allowed to become supervisor. So I guess Nick is now running the team.
Or, like in my fantasy, Grissom comes back to supervise and train/teach a new level 1.:) I think they would have to bring in a new CSI anyway so the team isn't short.

I doubt they will make Langston supervisor.
We already know that LF is working around his outside-CSI schedule, and with everyone taking a pay cut, as Marg said, George may be working fewer scenes/episodes, also.
Maybe big name guest stars will be the norm, and help to fill in the gaps.
This will be an interesting season.

Indulge me for a moment while I send out a HALLELUJAH! and an AMEN!! Sometimes prayers are actually answered.

    FINALLY, I can quit watching.

Interesting how it was already a few years ago (season 8?) where Marg was saying that she wanted Catherine to look towards the path of Sam's casinos. Then the writer's strike came, and that whole storyline never got into the plans.

I'm not excited about her being in fewer episodes and less screen time for those she actually is in, but the "love scene" comment has me intrigued.

My computer didn't like that tv guide link. It kept freezing up my browser. I think they should probably just end the show after Marg leaves. If they keep it going, I'm sure Nick would be Supervisor. The question then becomes, who will be assistant supervisor, Greg or Sara? And if/when Marg does leave they will definitely need to bring in a new CSI cause they'll be down to four. See, they should have just kept Wendy and let her become a CSI! Then they would have had an already established character who was already well liked by many fans and they wouldn't have had to do the whole new character thing.

About the re-issue of the Kacy character, its possible that the original one was the one that said she was in her twenties and the re-issue is a modified one that says she's in her 30s since Sienna is in her 30s.

Yes, but this for a casting call. If Kacey had been cast already there would be no need for a re-issue of the casting call.

As for Asst. Supervisor, there doesn't have to be one. Grissom went many years without one and they made Catherine one when the brought the team back together. As for Nick becoming one, I think tptb felt he deserved it. Personally, I can't see Greg or Sara being an assistant supervisor. First off Sara's past behavior should automatically prevent her from being one and Greg, to me, hasn't show that he can lead. He can follow, but not lead. IMO

I'll miss Marg and Catherine and I have a feeling that CSI is on its last leg. Guess we'll have to see how the ratings go after she leaves.

I had a feeling that was coming by the end of this season or next :( and I could see this being the last season perhaps :(:(:( Did George, Eric, and the others ask for less time also I wonder???

So will she just be in 19 episodes and then leave, or she be in the whole season minus 4 episodes and leave for the season (or series :() finale?????

AND for her last 19 she had better get some good screentime PERIOD.

    :scream:

Honestly I'm not sure how much more I can take, though the love scene has me a little excited :)

    So that will leave:
Nick who I assume will be supervisor
Greg who could be the new assistant supervisor
    Sara, but for how long
Ray when he's back on his feet

So we'll need a new person when Cath leaves and another when Sara says bye (again)

wer're losing all the women here: Melina, Liz, Marg, 2 others from Criminal Minds....BEWARE CSI: MIAMI and any other CBS show

Why oh why couldn't they keep Wendy, she could have been the new CSI then they could have brought in that bomb chick to take Wendy's place in the lab, I know there's the issue of money but c'mon tptb surely you could figure something out

It does look like the end of an era for CSI.Without Grissom,Catherine was my major draw to the show.I like the concept of CSI so I will watch until the end but definely not live or even watch the whole season on the summer(like I do with NY).

Sad about Marg :( Expected, but sad. My first thought was that this could easily be CSI's last season. Unless they want to go the ER route and keep bringing newbies and more newbies but I don't know how well that would work for CSI (didn't work too well for ER but it can of did for Law and Order so...) I think this next season will define a lot of things for CSI.

Sad to hear about Marg. I wasn't really bothered by Grissom's departure but for some reason I don't really want Catherine to leave. Not unexpected tho.

It sounds to me like the description for the character of Kacey Monahan was re-released when they got the others all signed. It's easier to cast a guest/recurring character when you know who they're playing opposite.

According to the site we can't link to episode 11x02 title is "Pool Shark".

My browser froze up as well, on that link. On Marg leaving WOW, but she's going to be 52, and I understand she wants to do other things, and "nothing stays the same" forever, that's for sure. But I'm happy with Laurence Fishburne and honored and thrilled that this hugh super star consented to star on CSI. Also the rest of the cast if in fact they stay, as well. It took a long time for me to realize that WP was gone, so I guess it'll be weird to see her go too. But we've not even started S/11 yet, so this will be a poignant season, and so I want to savor and enjoy it, and not think past this, for now~

And this is certainly not the end of CSI, when two big writers have just signed up for 4 more years. Carol Mendolsohn and Ann Donohue. It'll just be different~
