Question: I’m sad. You haven’t given us any NCIS scoop in ages! Got anything new for me?
    Ausiello:
Remember Tony and Ziva’s big Parisian adventure earlier this season? Well, the show is producing a sequel to air later this season, only this time the stars are Abby and McGee and the setting is Mexico.

Question: NCIS season finale scoop, please!

    Ausiello:
The episode’s titled “Rule Fifty-One,” it airs May 25, and Gibbs ends up in Mexico for a showdown with a revenge-seeking drug cartel (cue the life-changing decision we’ve heard so much about). The cliffhanger ending, meanwhile, is so top-secret exec producer Shane Brennan decided to leave it out of the official script. Which leaves me no other choice than to track down the raw footage. And I will track it down.

NCIS Exclusive: Numb3rs Star Gunning for Gibbs in Season Finale

Numb3rs star Dylan Bruno will guest-star in the final two episodes of NCIS' seventh season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Bruno will play Lt. Jason Paul Dean, a freelance mercenary with ties to the private military company operated by Col. Merton Bell (Robert Patrick), an enemy of Gibbs (Mark Harmon). As we first reported, Lt. Dean is an imposing, edgy and dangerous former Army Ranger who was highly decorated before a screw-up in Afghanistan led to his dishonorable discharge — and he's not at all afraid to kill when necessary.

Obviously, that's bad news for Gibbs, who arrested Bell for going after the granddaughter and daughter-in-law of Gibbs' good friend, Mike Franks (Muse Watson), earlier this season. Since then, Bell has also sent sly lawyer M. Allison Hart (Rena Sofer) after Gibbs. Will Lt. Dean be more successful?

Bruno's character will first appear in the season's penultimate episode, but he will stick around for the big finale, in which Gibbs has to make a devastating choice to save his team.

Bruno, best known as FBI agent Colby Granger on Numb3rs, has also appeared on CSI: Miami and in Saving Private Ryan.
NCIS returns with the first of five new episodes Tuesday, April 27 at 8/7c. The season finale airs Tuesday, May 25 at 8/7c.

I don't understand why so many people watch NCIS.
It doesn't have anything special and I really can't compare it to CSI.
Bones and Criminal Minds(and the CSI's of course) are way better than NCIS.

Well your allowed your opinion and it is welcome. As to there being nothing special about it I disagree with that but I agree as well, the thing is all these shows are fictional and it is hard to say it has something special in one respect, but at the sametime its something (storyline, actor, character, etc) that attracts viewers and keeps them. :)

I watch NCIS not for one specific character but for all of them, for the storylines, for the drama mixed with a touch of comedy. I watch other shows for similar reasonings. I don't think there is anything wrong with all the shows, some just catch your eye and some tend to keep it. Some may for some or not particular reason cause you to lose interest. Then you have some who can watch NCIS, and other shows, plus the CSI's. -- I use to watch the CSI's but unless it catches my attention, I really don't anymore I lost interest in them not for any particular reason just couldn't keep my attention. I guess you could say that All shows are similar and yet different so making a comparison is at least imo unfair to the shows. Plus it is also based up on the viewers taste, sometimes they change, increase or even decrease.

But I can only really speak in generalization and for myself, others would have to weigh in with their own opinions. ;)

I think the thing I like best about NCIS is the great interaction between the characters. I mean Tony and Tim are just hilarious. Abby always wanting her hug from Gibbs, cute.

Totally agreeing on this end. The interaction between the characters and the humor certainly makes it worth watching. Going deeper into the characters' backgrounds also makes it interesting. We get to learn more about them each episode. They are one dysfunctional family that cares about each other and they get the job done.

Now this ^^^ is something I wouldn't have said before the end of season 2. When NCIS was intruduced in JAG I wasn't a fan at all. God, I hated Gibbs from the start. Therefor I never watch the first two seasons till the end. Well I made up for that BIG time by rewatching and rewatching the seasons. Now as the series continues, the characters have grown on me and I can't think I could do a week without NCIS. So summer break will be long, thank god for DVD's.

'NCIS' stars seek bumps in pay; How much is Michael Weatherly worth?

With NCIS preparing to wrap its seventh season on April 29, the cast has plenty to crow about: The CBS drama is not only averaging 18.94 million viewers (up 5% versus last season), it’s the most-watched scripted show of the year. So it’s hardly any wonder that co-stars Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo), Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto), David McCallum (Dr. Mallard) and Sean Murray (Timothy McGee) are looking to score bigger salaries before the show returns next fall.

Their actions are not exactly earth-shattering; the four actors are at the end of their traditional seven-year contracts so CBS expects them to seek bumps in pay (star/producer Mark Harmon is already a lock, while co-stars Cote De Pablo, who plays Ziva David, and Rocky Carroll, as Leon Vance, have deals that reportedly expire next year). The real question is how much CBS is willing to pay the four stars moving forward: Deadline.com is reporting that the company dangled low-ball offers, which stalled negotiations. Representatives for CBS declined to comment. Last year, CBS TV Studios, as well as other production companies, attempted to institute a pay freeze with its stars, but that didn’t include actors who were at the end of their deals.

Fortunately, there is plenty of time to iron out new deals. Though it’s unclear when a resolution will occur, it seems likely that new contracts will be in place – and Weatherly, Paulette, McCallum and Murray will be back where fans want them – by the time NCIS resumes production in July. Stay tuned.

Amending the post above ^^^ source: STV (yeah that one)

David McCallum's manager says that reports were wrong to include him among the NCIS cast members who aren't signed on to return for next season, along with Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray and Pauley Perrette.

"I'm sure some of the others are negotiating, but he's not affected by it," says Abe Hoch, manager of the hugely popular actor who plays medical examiner "Ducky" on CBS' top-rated drama. "He falls into the Mark Harmon/Rocky Carroll category.

He's signed on for additional seasons. He's excited to be coming back to the show and can't wait to see everybody." Of the negotiations to renew McCallum's deal, Hoch says, "Certainly this went well for us, and he's happy to be back."

It's really quite simple: Cancel Two And A Half Men and divvy up the money they earmarked to get Charlie Sheen back amongst the NCIS cast.

    More on contracts.

Source: Well you know where. ;)

Good news, Tony DiNozzo fans: Michael Weatherly tells TV Guide Magazine exclusively that he's "extremely optimistic" he'll return to CBS' top-rated drama NCIS next season. "I'm very excited to come back," says Weatherly. "I have the best job on television and the best character. I have an extremely talented team of folks that I've been working with for a long time who are in negotiations. It's ongoing, but I'm extremely positive about the outcome. Optimism reigns supreme."

Another good sign: Weatherly says CBS has invited him to attend the unveiling of their fall schedule to advertisers later this month at the annual upfronts. "They bought me a ticket" to fly into New York for the event, he says. He's also shot a short film that will be shown to advertisers there.

With the news that David McCallum will return, that leaves Sean Murray and Pauley Perrette as the only cast members whose chances of coming back remain unclear.

I got tickled on the last episode as that girl was trying to put the lie detector on Gibbs. Leon and that other guy snickering was funny.

Why did that girl think that Tim didn't really want to go out with her?

We need to think of a new thread title as we're into the 900s already. "Gibbs Hugs and Head Slaps" is the only thing I can think of.
