    Question:
    When you said "Elvis' name in any form, first, last, initials", the text we use can't start with E and finish with S? (just to make sure) :p

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that means you can't use "Elvis", "Presley", or "EP". :) Using a word that starts with E and ends with S (whatever that may be :lol: ) should be okay.

    Since I'm sure most of you guys are celebrating Easter / on Spring Break, I wanted to extend the entry date to Monday April 5th 2010 11:59 -4 gmt. I'm missing a lot of entries ... and I want to make sure everyone has a chance to get them in :)

    MISC LIMS 2 Challenge 2 "Elvis Presley" Voting!

    Voting Rules: (Please read)
    ~ Absolutely anyone may vote! You don't have to be an 'expert' ;)
    ~ Vote for the Top 2 of least quality, and the Top 2 of best quality.
    ~ Votes for least quality Must have a reason, or they will not be counted. Reasons for best quality are strongly encouraged
    ~ There's a difference between "constructive criticism" and plain out rude remarks when it comes to voting for an icon, choose your wording carefully ;) Remember to pm either me or one of the mods if you have any issue with voting.

    (the following examples may have been "borrowed" from other sources)

    Good Examples:
    34: Text is oddly placed
    50: Icon is over sharpened
    62: Image is too blurry

    Poor Examples:
    96: I don't like the colour (personal preference)
    52: Tiny text/decorative brushes are unreadable (it's supposed to be that way)

Just make sure you read the rules from now on ;) Does this seem fair to everyone?

    Least Quality:
    13- The aspect ratio looks stretched and the text adds nothing.
    10- He looks grainy, and the text is hard to read, poorly placed and dominates the icon too much. His face also doesn't stand out on the background and just kind of fades away.

    Best Quality:
    9- Normally, I find that sort of half-tone texture grating and overused, but you really make it work here. Awesome colors and awesome text! Overall, great composition!
    7- I love the colors and all-around intensity of this icon.

    Good grief these are all magnificent! I had to stare at them hard and long to find anything negative. You should all be proud of yourselves, you all did an outstanding job. :)


    Least

    06- His face is a little blurry. Using the sharpen tool set on a small size just on his face might have helped make him stand out a little more.
    08- A tiny bit grainy, especially around his face.


    Best:

    07- Excellent coloring and love the soft look to his face and the text is very nice as well.
    12- Awesome crop and the icon almost looks like a painting. Very nicely done. :)
