Oh you're getting season 8 today? Awesome, I love the cover... Anyways... That was a random... I've asked for it for christmas, so I have a little while to wait... But my season 4 of NY came on Saturday, so I have plenty to watch.

Random question, but cause I'm not from the States, I dunno the answer... :lol: I've been following the American Elections pretty closely, I'm hoping for an Obama win, but anyways, that's beside the point... I was wondering, why is there early voting? Here in the UK, when we have election there is a designated day for everyone to vote and if you don't vote on that day, you loose your chance. How come in the States you can vote over a period of time? Just curious...

Anyways... Back to Nick... Just watched 9.03, it was a pretty good ep, sadly not much Nick, but a great ep none the less.

Well, I HOPE I get them today. I got the notice that they were shipped last Thursday. :)

Well, it used to be called "absentee voting" and you could do it if you had a reason you couldn't vote on election day. But now in some states you can do it without a reason, like Indiana. Some states you still have to have a reason, and I think in some states you can't even do it.

And quite honestly, this year there are huge numbers expected to vote and only 12 hours to do it on election day with most people trying to go before or after work or at lunch time.

So I'm afraid I won't make it, and I'm going today. :)

We have in Canada what's called an Advanced Poll. I know in Ontario, it's for all types of elections-Federal, Provincial and Municipal. I don't know if other provinces have advanced polls for Provincial or Municipal elections. It started out like Smokey said for people that will be away. Now it's done because not everyone is able to vote on the exact day that the election is held.

this is what happens when you have to spend too mcuh time in lines to vote.
 
Steph, in the UK you can vote by post or by proxy (someone voting on your behalf) if you can't get to the polling station on that day.

Yeah, but we don't have polling stations opened on other days like they do in the States, well not in N.I. anyways... That's what I was meaning. :lol:

The cover in the States is slightly different to ours in the UK I like the American one better... :lol: Plus we only get it in half seasons which sucks...

Ok, new theme. Lets go with a theme I did awhile ago. Lets have a hodgepodge theme. Now you can use all the caps you have that aren't fitting any themes or to just show off your work. If you don't cap, post whatever pic of Nick, George, etc. you'd like.

Hodgepodge theme, 12 in 30 hours (Tuesday is deadline night) and have fun!

Looking forward to see what you all come up with.

How to find pics for this theme when you can't see them. If there isn't a label on it telling you what's in it you most likely haven't found a reason to post it. :p

Jacquie and Yoshi, you should try the drop-down menues on photobucket on a computer that is so slow that you have delayed reactions. I have just 3 times clicked on a drop-down menu instead of what I wanted without even knowing I was. :wtf:
