...while watching an epi of CS:NY you wonder how cool would it be to play the dead guy/girl just to be examinated by your fav character (Mac in my case)...

you wake up every morning, look for your remote control, turn on the TV, just to catch CSI: NY commercials so that you'll always remember to watch it. and with some luck sometimes you can get the back-to-back episode. true story.

you stand to watch the same episode back-to-back, 5 times or more.

You wish those "I'm a Mac and I'm a PC" commercials featured Gary Sinise and David Caruso just because Gary Sinise plays a character named MAC on CSI: NY.

...when you know to check if that fresh puddle of fluid leaking from underneath your car is oil from watching Danny do it in 'you only die once'. happened to me today when my car died on the way to work and that scene was the FIRST thing that popped into my head..........go figure!!
 
...... when you and your friend spend ages discussing your favourite characters and you spoil season 6 for her by telling her what happens to danny.:p
 
you look at your facebook page, and notice the stupid and usually pointless advert at the side contains a pic of mac and stella. as it happens the ad is pointless - it's for BT's digital tv service, i have sky so i would never downgrade to BT, but clearly they have realised what i talk about most on facebook and tailored their advert accordingly. or Taylored... ;)

...you literaly fall off your chair because you got over excited when, while watching NCIS, you saw an ad on CBS with Mac on it...

SO did that half ano hour ago...
 
you know you watch too much when you drink your tea out of one of these:



it really is quite huge - even as a bowl it'd be massive but as a mug it's fantastic, you can get half a kettle's worth of tea in there! <3
 
Wow, it is a nice mug. I want one of those (well, more than one really. But one would be awesome too). Where did you get that mug?
 
This isn't so much a 'You know you watch too much CSI' moment as it's a 'You know you've spent too much time in the fandom for CSI' moment, but:

You know you watch too much CSI:NY when you're reading* TV Tropes (curse you, TV Tropes!) and you see one of the examples on the "Inverted Trope" page and chuckle because it's referring to the pilot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - specifically, Carmine's scene in said episode. :p


* and by 'reading', I mean 'you cannot escape the dang site'

...when you hear a CNN promo saying 'Get the connection' the first think of is Veneziano's theory of quantum physics.

...when you hear at the radio 'calling all angels' you turn around fully expecting to see Mac ready to hug you and get REALLY disappointed when he's not there.
