Ray may become one of his favourite role because this is a delicate subject so it will leave its mark on him, plus this is one of his first role after 9 years playing the same character. As for Grissom, I hope he will say later that it is one of his greatest role !

I love your signature CSIz 4H !

I don't know if he'll look at the role of Ray as one of the greatest roles he's ever done, but I think it'll probably have some sort of lasting impression on him, as I'm sure other roles he's played have done the same.

I think both sides were given just enough attention for the audience to be able to understand. Naturally, you want to side with Una and not really want to hear Ray's side because of what he's done, but the way the character is portrayed, you can't help but be drawn in to listen to his side. I even caught myself feeling sorry for him as much as I did her, even though there was no excuse whatsoever for what he did. You just can't ignore either side.

Totally, totally agree about both sides. The way Billy creates him and crumbles and looks so appalled and distressed at her version of events, you can't fail to empathise. I'm not sure about sympathise though. He was an adult and should have been stronger.

From the show discussion we went to, he did no research and stated that ' The only time I let them (CSI writers) give Grissom any emotion was in crimes against children.' Therefore, I think the questions and the crime are in his head anyway. He just doesn't want grizzly details and case studies, which is what Mattie Hawkinson said she got engrossed in, having an intern print her reports off from the internet. Facinating little inside gossip for you there, folks!

I doubt he will see Grissom as his best creation, either, Crim. He only seems to talk, with any pride anyway, about To Live And Die In LA. I think he sees that his defining role and the one that broke him into the movies. I would love him to consider Ray on the same lines, but I'm not sure he will. He seems to like to do plays, finish them, move on.

And CSIz- I LOVE that sig thing! Grrrrrrrrrr!

bf: What do you mean "reports" off of the internet? Reports of child abuse? Reports or articles regarding her (Mattie's) performance? Sorry, I'm just a wee bit confused.

I personally think that the part of 'Ray' will go down in Billy's list of best parts of his life...I really think he did a phenomenal job with it, and I think (at least judging from as much as he has talked about the importance of the topic (pedophiles/child abuse/etc) to him, and how happy he is that it's out there) it has and will leave a lasting impression on him. It's been an amazing journey, I'm sure...with a week of performances left...Wow...Congratulations on making it through, Billy :) <3 you!

Crim: BF meant case studies and articles about child abuse. Mattie read them to research the Una part :p

Regarding whats his greatest role, i agree with BF that he'll prob see richard chance as his greatest role (richard chance.............. mmmmmmmmm :devil:) and some of his theatre roles like in belly of the beast. I think, whilst he loves Griss and loved playing him, he'll see it as a role that consumed his life for 9 years. He's said himself that he spent more time playing Grissom than being himself. I think he maybe thought he was starting to lose himself a bit as he was so consumed in Grissom. The fact that he was counting the days to the end of the FIRST season (according to Carol M), I think we did well to get 9 seasons out of him!

Alienor - LOVE your avi!!!! - Will Graham ......... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Are they actually going to make a csi film ? I tried having a look on google, but nothing said it was for sure going to happen.

If they do i'll be there as soon as it opens.. with my popcorn

Apparently they are, yep. No scripts have been written as we know of or anything like that but one is planned.

I think they want to make sure everything is just so with the script before they even think about filming! I think Billy is quite the perfectionist when it comes to his work so don't expect anything soon!!

The other thing to notice about all these reports about a CSI film is that ALL the articles are quoting an old interview from several months back. In other words, it's not NEW news; somebody decided to repackage some old news and get everybody stirred up again. I wouldn't believe anything yet. Ditto for the tabloid reports that CBS is "begging" Petersen to come back. Nothing that I've seen, anyway, looks to come from a reputable source.

Indeed. I don't think i'll believe anything about him going back for a one off or a csi movie until I see it in black and white that these things are definateyl going to happen. Plans can change after all. :)

His play is done this week, maybe he return to csi. Look Here

Thank's nanigsr YIPPE,:bolian: IT WAS HIS GREATEST ROLE AND BROUGHT HIS MEGA FAME, I know he'll return, it's written in the stars, and maybe his contract. He's kept his hand in the show for a reason, and I don't mean $$$$, he I think he will do some 'guest' spots before he goes on to his next play. Can't wait:p

And on his CSI performances, what did he do with Hank? take him to Costa Rica with him, let a team member watch him or adopt him out?, which I doubt. The dog [his real life pup] Bruno, was in 3 episodes. And I think he'll be back, like his master~

If the dog didn't go, Catherine has the dog....

Catherine has the dog......they were friends for 20 years, Catherine & Hank got along, the dog trusted her, loved her, and she loved him too, and who else would you trust your best canine friend than your BEST friend? Catherine has the doggy...

I think that Nick has the dog or Brass, he was friends with them too~ I never read anywhere that it said Cath had Hank. Another reason for his return:thumbsup:

It never said that Brass or Nicky had him, either...why do you think he does? Cath was friends with Gil the longest (as far as I know), and she spent a lot of time with Hank (watching him when Grissom left), so I think she is the logical choice...Plus, even before she greeted Grissom at his apartment, she said "HEY Hank!" and scratched his ears...I think that says a lot. ;p

And maybe Lady Heather has him, she was the last one he went to see before he left, so one never knows~ and on the 'spoiler' thread courtesy of myfuturecsi here's another report about him returning, so many hints and clues on this subject:confused:

GRISSOM TO RETURN?
