britfan: You do realize BILLY is in that play, right? Are you saying you don't like the play? I'm confused....but is that a surprise? :p
I sent you a PM regarding my fiction.

I'm STILL shaky/nervous/worked up from that play and seeing him!! GOD I'll NEVER get over it.

Nanigsr: No, Jorja was not in attendance on Monday. Marg was, but she and Gina were the only other 'celebrities' there, aside from Mattie & Billy. I have no idea if Jorja is going to see Billy's new play or not...I'd pop over to the Jorja Fox thread and ask there.

Thank you for answer to me.

Thank you LaSquista, Crim and alienor for posting those amazing links to the reviews, clip and pictures.

Here is a review I found over at WPAP from the Examiner: Blackbird Review
Again high praise for Billy and the whole production. I can't wait to see this play!!!

THANKS, GG! I'm reading it now...Billy surely deserves VERY HIGH praise for Blackbird. God, I'm SO glad he's getting it...I wish I could give it to him myself! :)
Check your PMs, by the way, britfan:)

I was talking about 'Endgame.' I know Billy is in it. I think he's playing the Hamm character. Is it at Steppenwolf? I've read it and hated it. It tries to make social commentaries without actually saying them. Before you book, read the play. It's just a lot of pointless orders and comments to try and explain the social condition. The play doesn't flow as a dialogue. It's a huge pile of weirdness. It definitely will appeal to Billy's artistic 'pushing the boundaries' of theatre muscle. But it totally turned me cold. Pretentious twaddle for me. You may like it, but I can't set it on.

Have a read. You'll see what I mean. You may enjoy it!

Checking my PM's now, Crim!

britfan: Will do ;) I'm going purely for Billy, but I will try & find a copy of the play & check it out ;p
I just cracked up when I read it was about 2 guys who either can't sit or stand! *ROFL* Yes, Billy is playing Hamm...I'm quite excited.
Check your PMs ;)

It's a rant about the play. Billy may be in it, but it's not worth flying from the UK for, for me!

I'm going to PMs now. My computer keeps coming up with what the ICT tech called, 'the blue screen of death!' Hence, it crashes as soon as I switch it on!

I would agree :)
Oooh gotta hate the blue screen of death :( :scream: I think you'll like/love 'Blackbird' better anyway...MUCH MUCH better.

Thank's for the great review and video LaSquisita really nice to see him in this brief clip on stage> I was wondering how many times a day does he do the performances? and how many days a week? And I think Jorja and Eric and George + Gary Dourdan will certainly see him if they haven't already. She did go see him before in Chicage [Jorja] so probably is a given:bolian:Nice that Marg did, and that they all love & admire him so:p

I'm pretty sure he's onstage almost every day July-August when the play ends. He's such a hard worker...so proud of him!
I think he usually only does one performance a day...he'd be so tired if he did more....did you love the video, DW? :) I thought it would make you feel like you were there..even though you can't be :(

YESSSSSSSSS, he was awesome in it, my girlfriend in Las Vegas even watched it, and stated he looked "old and tired" what's with the bags under his eyes? she said. And then said "it looks like he needs a well rested vacation" I go, "I still think he's gorgeous" and she said the one with the Alice56 in the hallway giving the peace sign was radiant" He changes his apperances so often and his hair color:confused: But she said "maybe we can go to see him in Chicago next year"

I saw those photos earlier, made me :) that photo of Billy and Gina, I know it's one of those 'caught in the moment' photos, but it's so  Bless him! At least he's got a new fancy shirt to wear instead of the blue and white monstrosity he's fashioned for so long! Great to see Marg making the trip back to her college town!

The title of the review in the Trib was kinda off, bout Hawkinson sweeping the floor with him. They where trying to be clever of course with the 'trash' theme of the play, but it didn't quite work for me. She was good, but not knock me out good as they seemed to suggest.

Glad you had a good time Crim :)

Thanks, GameFace! I appreciate it :) We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST and I am STILL beside myself with awe & excitement.

I didn't much appreciate the Trib's title, either...I mean, I understand they're not trying to be negative, but the "wiping the floor' comment was a bit much, and I do get the trash on the floor thing, but like you said, it just didn't work with me....Better luck next time, Trib. (Incidentally, I drove right by that building....should have stopped in, clearly ;p)

I think Mattie did an AMAZING job....she certainly has guts to A) do this play in the first place B) Has an amazing talent to cry intensely on command, and she shows talent. Perhaps not nearly as much as Billy (cos we all love him best!) but she is good. Without her feeding the emotion and such right back at him, and with nearly equal intensity, the play wouldn't be nearly as good. I mean, God forbid they replace Mattie with someone of lesser talent- she's far too good....I think she and Billy thrive off of each other. You can almost see it in their eyes onstage (at least in his ;p).

PS- I have a really lame question....does anyone else read the "Backstage at the Biograph" or "A Word with the Stage Manager" blogs? If so, does anyone know or care to speculate if Billy or Mattie read them? It doesn't really matter, I'm curious as to how much feedback (aside from thunderous applause, bawling blondes and standing ovations ;p) they are getting/want...
