I was thinking of what songs I would put on CSI if I were in charge of soundtracking, and I figured I would like to hear from you guys too. I like The Killers, and "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" would fit perfectly for an interrogation scene, and the background music from "Change Your Mind" would be good for when they are doing lab work or whatever. Tell me what you think!

It was cool when they used The Vines and Jet songs. I think they could work The Killers into an episode, seeing as though they're from Vegas. Have them as a lounge act or something.

I'd prefer 'Smile Like You Mean It' in an episode. Anything modern and recognizable that I like it always good to hear. I've actually discovered some cool music through watching CSI.

Yes, like The Wallflowers in that one ep with the actor supposedly cutting somebody's throat? And "Dead Ringer" had me freaking out because they played Jet lol! I think my mom thinks I'm nutters because I watch CSI so much. I actually really like the soundtrack too, you wouldn't beleive the crap I take from the kids at school! But what they don't realize is that I know how to conceal evidence of a body. Naw, I'm just kidding. :D

*These would be good for an opening scene, I think*

It doesn't matter
'Bout the car I drive or
What I wear around my neck
All that matters
Is that you recognize
That it's just about respect
It doesn't matter
About the clothes I wear
And where I go and why
All that matters
Is that you get hyped and
We'll do it to you every time
(Come on now)

Now, why you wanna try
To classify the type of thing
That we do
'Cause we're just fine
Doin what we like
Can we say the same for you?
Tired of feelin all
Around me animosity
Just worry about yours
'Cause I'ma get mine
Now people can't you see

Hmm... that's "Pop," by Nsync, right? hehe. I was a huge fan way back when.

I think... Because I'm a huge CSI:NY fan, something really moody and city-oriented... like "This Is How A Heart Breaks" by Rob Thomas, or maybe "Michael" by Franz Ferdinand. Love those two songs. And they are really city songs to me (I live in NYC, in one of the boroughs, at least).

I have one totally thought out. We have an episode where Rick Culpepper (FBI) dies. At the end everyone is at his funeral. We see the camera spinning around, like with Warrick at the end of Table Stakes with his gambling problems, and see everyone (While it's raining). And as music we have Brothers in Arms from the Dire Straits. I loved it when it was used in The West Wing.

i'd pretty much stick with either modern music that's new to me or else use music from the same era as the who, late 60s to early 70s depending on the episode.

I would love anything by the Killers..

From ColdPlay
X AND Y
Square One for Nick getting back to normal life
White Shadows
Speed of Sound for Nick--he likes birds
Swallowed by the Sea-for Sarah and Grissom moments
Twisted Logic-for Greg
The Scientist for GSR scenes
In My Place for GSR scenes

by U2
Vertigo-for Greg scenes
Beautiful Day
Stuck in a moment--Warrick and Nick moments
The Fly for Grissom moments
Mysterious Ways-Sarah and Greg moments, for Catherine moments

Green Day
Time of Your Life
Minority--I dunno..sounds like one for Greg scenes
Boulevard of Broken Dreams for Nick in his pity moments
American Idiot--song by the nightshift for Ecklie
Holiday-for the whole nightshift when a coup d'etat is done to Ecklie

Hollaback Girl - for Sarah/Catherine cat fight scenes

I know the whole Nick is trouble thing is overdone, so I move they do something involving him going away for an ep. Like the death of his father or his older brother. Most likely his brother dies, they never really got along, then the song, "he ain't heavy, he's my brother" by the hollies should be played.

Oh lord don't move away from Nick's In Trouble..that's our drinking game..everytime Nick gets in trouble..I take a sip of diet coke..which means..i'm often hyper..heheh

So many good ifeas on here! We should rally together and have the studios let us take over for an episode as guest writers or whatever, I think we could do a pretty good job! :D

I remember a CBS commercial with "Beautiful Day" on it, there was a clip of Grissom by the CSI break room fridge...don't ask why I remember that!

I don't really watch Miami, but "Smooth" by Santana and Rob Thomas would fit quite well I think.

*nick falls down a flight of scrwdriver stairs and lands in a bucket of rusted nails*

I still like getting him in trouble X3

I could see them using "November Rain" by Guns N Roses in an ep, mostly likely at a funeral in the rain just like the music video does. I don't know, but I could picture thi playing at a funeral for Sam Braun because of the part, 'Everybody needs somebody" it would most likely portray Catherine's feelings like she finally was able to leave it behind her and walk away.

I like this song. How would you guys use it?
"Wish you were here"
Pink Floyd

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

I would put Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. It's a very beautiful song. It's a little sad though. I think they should put it at the end of the very last episode of CSI(hope that's not anytime soon!! :().
