Hi Miamikiller. :) Welcome to the Miami Forum!

If you're having a problem with the spoiler code, it may have something to do with the browser you're using. If I recall correctly, those using Safari were having issues using the spoiler code. However, if you post your question in the Questions, Suggestions & Feedback forum as it's in regards to the site as a whole and not just this forum, someone might be better able to help. :)

I'm not sure where to put this question, I want to make a CSI Miami music video like the ones you see on YouTube. Where can I get videos to download for the video? I want videos of mainly Calleigh and Eric.

Welcome to the Miami thread, squinn1201!

Just an FYI that discussion of downloading is not allowed per the board rules. You might want to refer to the Miami Help and Info Thread Thanks!. :)

Hey there! I'm new to this forum. My name's Ally, I'm 18, and am a college student studying graphic design. I've been known to watch a few too many CSI:Miami marathons on A&E, in addition to following the show weekly since the beginning of Season 6 (I first got into it when my dad was watching repeats on A&E). I hope to see you guys around!

[Hi all you fellow Miamifans.
As some of you know from a chatroom next door. I am a huge hiphugger fan. But I am also a European highugger which means I don´t quite get this:

Forensic drama CSI: Miami has been named the world's most popular TV show in a study of ratings in 20 countries. Scource: BBC News

(Yes it is LV but LV is the flagship of the franchise:)
Since then it has been a constant fight between the two shows, because even when CSI beats Grey in the ratings, CSI always had lower ratings among the younger viewers, the category most wanted by advertisers. Some critics have said that CSI is now taking the characters into more romantic paths so as to compete with Grey, although this has been denied by Carol Mendelsohn Source Wiki

So my question is:
How much influence does advertiserneeds have on the storyline or producers? Is the E/C just an excuse for cutting an actor or demoteting an actor and bring in younger blood? NB! “Sex and the City” has ended but did in it´s time attract the teens also.

Am now wondering if hope of any fun is folkdancing * LOL*

Did post this question in another tread...but really do need an answer to this one:(

Hi Ajbuckly, welcome to the Miami Forum. :)

I realize you'd like an answer to your question, but as it's not a spoiler (you posted it in the Spoiler Lab), perhaps it would make a better thread all its own? It could definitely make for an interesting discussion and you wouldn't need to post it in more than one place. ;)

(if you're not sure how to start a thread, use this photo as reference)

Hi Speed _ cochrane.

And thanks....I am telling you: getting around this place(the forums) Oh I wish I had a flightplan:lol:. And until today wasn´t stepping on any toes or doing no wrong...But learn the hard way that words can indeed be interpreted in many ways.:).

So ...if I want to pose the question:

Can any type of show survive 12. season? Then that would the general tvforum? But if I pose the question:For how long do you see Miami being renewed? That would be spoilerlab?

As to starting my own tread...I am not quite ready for that yet...:).
Looking at your aviatar(Is that by the way the name or the picture?) What keeps you a loyal fan nowadays? What segments do you enjoy?

Well that was personal and not ok in forums ...Am I right?

Can we as with email. get noctice when someone reply to your postits or do you have to subscribe to all the forums you make replies in?

Hmm. will in the end need a manuel....LOL

Ajbuckly, the name of the Forum (for example: CSI Miami) or the name of the thread (~Welcome To The CSI:Miami Forum!~) will usually give you a hint as to what is being discussed in that area. And on the main index page, there are descriptions for each of the forums.

Can any type of show survive 12. season? Then that would the general tvforum?
Yes, that would be the General TV and Media Forum.
Gunsmoke = 20 years
The Simpsons = in its 20th year
Law & Order (TOS) = 19th year
Meet The Press = 62nd year
Sixty Minutes = 26th year

But if I pose the question:For how long do you see Miami being renewed? That would be spoilerlab?
That is not really a spoiler unless you give specific plot items away. Don't remember a thread for that, so you might want to do a search. But I think it might be safe since if we did such a thread, it probably died out a long time ago.

Yes, and I think that would be from the Thread Tools drop down menu at the top of each page of posts, or the Forum Tools at the top of the list of threads. And questions like this about the board itself would usually go in QSF (Questions, Suggestions, and Feedback) Forum.

We all went through this when first joining. No harm done. A radio host once said, "The only stupid question is the one that is not asked."

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dynamo1 ... as I recall you got me out of trouble once before:). Wow...didn´t Law and Order had been around for so long and am now intriged What is Gunsmoke?.. As to starting up a tread...There has be some forum rules? Where is the line between adding something to a reply...Let´s said...

Yes I agree with you. They are jumping the shark. But if has to some ideas outthere that could stop it. I am thinking.......

And then the rest of the tread goes on with idea...Ergo a completly different topic.....Should there have been another tread instead or would every change of topic not swamp the forums?

Just check the tread tools bar...Suscribe to tread is the only posibillity. Or I am doing it wrong *LOL*

But thank you for helping me out.
