Head of the Day Shift
(Updated due to mod changes)
Welcome, everybody, to the Fan Art board! This is the place you want to be for everything related to CSI art, whether it's digital art or real. I'm your moderator, tuesdaymorning or Jen, which ever you prefer . Below are the rules of the board, along with some links and other things you might find useful. If you have a question or need any help, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, have fun and get creative!
CSI Fanart Board Rules
- This is a CSI board, therefore, everything you post here must be CSI, CSI: Miami, or CSI: New York related. If you post fanart or fanfiction from another show, unfortunately, I'll have to remove it.
- As all artists are aware of, criticism is what makes a good piece of art a great piece of art. However, there is a huge difference between constructive criticism and plain rudeness. If you don't like a certain wallpaper or a story, and don't have any helpful pointers for the artist/author, I'd really rather you didn't reply at all. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Telling someone, "That's a great piece, but here's something I think you should consider to make it better," is great feedback. Telling that person, "This sucks. Why did you even publish it? Yuck, I don't like it at all," is in really bad taste. Everyone has the freedom to express themselves, until interferes with other people's feelings. Be kind, please. While we're at this, too all artists: remember that constructive criticism isn't a bad thing and doesn't mean you're a bad artist. But if you'd rather get no criticism at all (that is, positive feedback only), please let us know in your post.
- In the same way that NC-17 stories are not allowed, X rated fanart is not allowed, either. This includes nudity and explicit sexual imagery. Any piece of art that I find inappropriate for minors to see, I'll have to edit out.
- Not so much a rule per se, but call it courtesy. Please spell check your story before you post it. It's very hard for us to enjoy your story if it's got misspelled words, net language, random capitalization, or no capitalization at all. If your computer doesn't have spell check, check out spell check.net.
- Post graphics in the specific thread. Have a CSI Icon? Post it in the CSI Icon thread. Do not make your own. No need for that when we've got those specific threads for you. Goes along with Signature and Wallpapers as well.
