We Can Hide It (Sara/Grissom)

Chapter Four

Sara went upstairs and found Grissom in the master bedroom.

"Ready to go?" Sara asked.

"Just about." He answered. Sara nodded and walked out of the room. She picked up all the evidence that she collected earlier, including the bloody sheet. She put the evidence in the car along with her kit. Sara went back inside the house and found Grissom in the bathroom.

"Ready to go?" Sara asked him again. He looked up at her.

"Oh. Right. Yeah." Grissom said. He got up and picked up his evidence and put it in the car. Then, Gil got in the driver's seat and Sara got in the passenger's seat. They then drove back to CSI.

---

Grissom parked the Tahoe in the parking lot, then they got their evidence and brought it to the evidence room. Sara swabbed the bloody sheet and gave the swabs to Mia.

"The gun matches the bullet that was in the victim." Grissom said as Sara walked into the evidence room.

"I swabbed the blood on the sheet and gave them to DNA. Mia's checking if the blood matches our victim." Sara explained.

"I don't think it does. It didn't look like anyone tried to clean up any blood near our vic. Also, there was too much blood on the sheet to be from a gun shot wound. The bullet didn't even leave the body." Grissom said.

"The blood could belong to the Father of the two kids, one kid is missing." Sara suggested.

"We won't be able to tell unless he's in CODIS." Grissom said.

"Anyway, I think we should talk to Amy Beck's doctor." Sara said.

"Amy Beck?" Gil asked.

"Yeah, that's the name of our victim." Sara answered.

"When did we figure that out?" Gil asked.

"When I looked at the perscription Clozapine." Sara replied.

"Oh." Gil said. "I didn't think we knew her name."

Then Mia came into the room.

"The blood you gave me didn't match Amy Beck's DNA, but 7 markers were in common with hers." Mia explained.

"The missing child..." Sara said. Mia gave the piece of paper with the results to Sara, then left the room. "Well, there's too much blood on the sheet to be from the kid that's at the hospital. It has to be the missing child."

"Now, we have to find the kid." Gil said.

Chapter Five

"Grissom!" Sara asked. Gil was running down the hall and Sara was running after him. She had no idea where he was going or what he was thinking. "Where are you going?" Grissom still didn't answer her, he kept running.

He got out to the parking lot and Sara ran in front of him. "Grissom, where are you going?"

"Back to the crime scene." Grissom said quickly, then he pushed past her. Sara just followed. They both got in the car, and Grissom drove back to the scene, also almost getting into 2 accidents, but he got to the scene anyway.

---

Grissom got his kit from the trunk and went to the backyard. Sara followed and figured out what Grissom was thinking. He thinks that the kid is buried. Gil walked around the backyard, looking for disturbed soil. Sara helped him.

"Griss, the whole yard looks like it was dug up." Sara finally said after twenty minutes of searching.

Grissom sighed and leaned against the house, "I know."

"Gris, you should see this." Sara called. He ran beside the shed that was in the yard. Sara was looking under it. Gil kneeled down and also looked under the shed. A whole lot of bugs were crawling around underneath the shed, and on top of a lot of disturbed soil, soil that was more disturbed than the whole yard.

"I'll call Brass, and get him to send some guys to move the shed for us." Sara said.

---

The shed was moved out of the way with a small crane. Sara looked over at Grissom once the shed was moved. He walked over to the disturbed soil.

"I don't think that the kid is buried that deep." Grissom said to Sara.

"So, no shovels?" Sara asked.

"Just brushes." Gil answered.

---

As the two brushed away the soil, which would have been grass except for the fact that it was dug up.

"Grissom, I've got a hand." Sara said quietly. Gil looked over at what Sara had uncovered. It was a small hand, but it proved one thing.

This case was making no sense.
