Wallpaper Challenge Thread #2

    Wow! What a turn out! Now then, just a few things before we get to the voting.

    1) Due to the results of the poll, I'll be putting up thumbnails for the voting this time around, and we'll see how it goes.

    2) I'm introducing something new to the voting. In addition to voting for your three favorite in each category, you will vote for one overall that you think is the best __________. Each challenge will have something different for you to pick. For instance, it could be blending, colouring, text placement, etc. But I will not announce it until the voting is up. I hope I'm explaining this clearly. (I didn't mean to copy Kat on this, it seems we both came up with similar ideas at the same time. Great minds and all...)

    3) I think a majority of people agree that having three categories is working well. I personally think it's better than two. However, in having three categories, there are less people entering each one (usually three or four in each category). This is fine, but it makes it difficult to chose a recipient for the recognition award with out having the same person time after time, or someone who has also place.
    So, my question is this: Should I change the way I do the recognition award? I could do something similar to what wolfesgamegirl did in the last banner challenge, or something completely different, if you want to make suggestions. Just leave a comment with your vote if you have an opinion on the matter.

    Voting Rules
    1] Don't vote for yourself. Also, don't tell anyone which one is yours, or that they should vote for them.
    2] Vote for three in each category. Vote for your favorite first, then second favorite, then third. It is very important that you do it this way.
    3] Please vote in all three categories. Also, don't be worried about voting agianst yourself, everyone else is!

    This time is blending.. well just a reminder for you guys.. I havent voted yet cause I having trouble with my computer but I will.. Anyway, from what I understood there should be the three votes of the category and the overall something like this:

    Awesome walls everyone! I am especially amazed by those in the intermediate category. I would say there are some real advanced-next-time-candidates in there! :D And can I just repeat one last time, how much fun I've had doing this? This was a brillant theme! :D Okay, I shut up and vote now...

    Best Blending (love this new style of voting, it has a sincere artistitc aspect, but it kinda sticks with the advanced ppl. Maybe that's the reason why not everybody is participating? Or maybe just because they missed this new thingy. Whatever... :lol: )

    As for the recognition award. This time with about 15-16 entries per category, I guess, there must be at least 5-6 ppl, so it won't get that tricky but I do see your point in general. I actually like the idea of being more focused on the artistic aspects of the walls. Giving away recognition award because of outstanding colouring, blending or whatever else is a nice way of paying a tribute to the participants skills. Though I think that should somewhat be combines with the categories. I mean, of course the beginners aren't as good in blending as the advanced, but I think it is most important to encourage our lovely beginners to stay in the competition. So... hm... I can't really think of a perfect concept right now, but I just feel it should combine both things. Did that help you at all? ;) :lol:

    Great work everyone, like BonaTaylor said, especially the intermediate walls are awesome, that was very hard to choose!
