I guess the problem I'm having with this whole storyline of Cath and the FBI guy is that TPTB said there was never any evidence of Catherine and Lou being exclusive. No, they aren't married like Gil and Sara (which is what their version of exclusive is I guess)
So Catherine and Lou have sex. Very hot steamy sex. They discuss moving in together. He concedes to having them live apart but 'enjoy what they have'. She tells him that she never thought it was about them, why she didn't mention her owning the casino.
And lastly, the convo at the end of
The List when she comments to Greg as to how many men she wished she could count on, and Lou
all of a sudden appears in her doorway and says "you only need one." I mean what was all that about if Catherine and Lou weren't exclusive?
I can see that they want Catherine to be in conflict and she's searching for something in her life. A way out of crime solving or whatever it is leading up to her departure, but I just don't see how sleeping with an FBI guy would do it. Even more so since he's not going to stick around.
What I
can see is her feeling still unfufilled after the FBI guy (Grant Show is a lovely choice though) and wants something more with Lou. Sort of like the end of the show
Chase where Annie wound up sleeping with Ben Crawly but left the show with Jimmy.
Chase by the way, was also a Jerry Bruckheimer production.
