and as much as I liked Cath and Keppler...

I do think that Vartann has sort of the same, tough-as-nails-hard-ass exterior that Catherine could break through
I think she would tolerate some of his smart-ass remarks and other she would call him on.. .which I think he needs
Vartann is vain enough to be knocked down a peg or two (I said that on the Vartann thread too ;) )
and Catherine is just the woman to do it

kaylyne said he has been a bachelor too long :lol: and I tend to agree

Heya Heather I read that Louise Lombard accepted a title role in a new ABC drama pilot. Hmm so I guess that means in the next season CSI would be short of one detective. :(
Do you think we're gonna see Vartann back on the show?

I hope so.. :D since they didn't offically kill him off **jumps up and down**

that way he can come back to have a nice subtle, quiet relationship with Cath? ;)

and I really hope he comes back anyway :)

I wanted to add to this some more since it's Valentines day

I think Vartann is a man of few words, he says what he feels at the time but when it comes to women, I think he'd get tongue tied

Cath is very outspoken (sometimes) and when it comes to men she doesn't have a problem saying what she feels and like I have said before, she uses body language to get her point across
she also flirts with her eyes
so I think Cath would have to dig a little to get him to open up some
but he would probably express himself more in the gifts and guestures than words

I agree, not because he doesnt know what to say but because he doesnt feel he can. And thats why I think they complement each other so nicely. I think Vartann's very much a man's man in respects to his feelings, and she can teach him that he can open up around her and say how he feels and not have to be embarrassed. Just IMO ;)

I agree, I think the 'quick smart-ass' remarks can roll off his tongue pretty easily but again when it comes to women I think he'd be pretty unsure of what to say... especially if he liked someone (like Cath)

that's why I think he'd be more apt to express himself with guesture like flowers

but Cath can surely bring it out of him she is pretty outspooken and she doesn't have a problem expressing herself

Yeah I'm sure she'll be able to bring it out of him. And like you say he is more of a gestures guy, but I think thats what Catherine would like.

Just because all the guys that we've ever seen her date have been more interested in themselves than her and I think she'd appreciate someone, Vartann, showering her with flowers and chocolates and things :D And Vartann would enjoy doing it :)

I bet he even put his hand at the small of her back as she walked through the door
I think Cath appreciates those kind of gestures given her track record with men

This made me curious too

Now that we know that Gris and Sara are together I wonder if TPTB would write in the same kind of relationship with Catherine
We know that TPTB are trying to keep the GSR subtle
would they do it with Catherine and Vartann especially if he doesn't work directly with her?
and she has more of a social life than both Gris and Sara so she would be going out more etc...

I think it would be the subtle things that Vartann does that would lead us to the fact that they like each other and/or are in some sort of relationship
