down: I had to leave sunny California and come back to cold, windy Southern Alberta
up: It's almost New Years Eve.. which means Party Time!!!

Down: Grazed my hand and elbow whilst wrestling with stuff on my bookcase.
I also need to persuade my parents to open the bottle of champagne we have in the fridge...

Up: I'm using {most} of my New Year's Eve in a productive manner, which I wouldn't be if I was out putting up with people I only 'get along' with to keep the parents happy
Down: Less than a week til my birthday. Don't really fill like celebrating.
Down: School begins again on the 3rd
Down: A spot the size of Jupiter has erupted on my nose just under where my glasses rest and it is excrutiatingly painful!
Up: I'm getting my new glasses and contacts on the 2nd
Up: School means getting away from the family
Down: Still behind on chemistry work
Up: I'm happy for once
Down: I'll probably know what the definition of a hangover is later...
Up: New Year is a great excuse not to bother getting any sleep and studying instead
Down: I like my sleep too much
