Yeah the STASI played a big role in Germany, especially the east part of the country. Till 1989 Germany was devided in two countries BRD and DDR. STASI existed in the DDR and that till the two countries became one again.

Back then they tried to recruit many people... my Dad told me when I was little that they asked him too. He had to be very careful afterwards because they're spying him. It was a hard time, since you couldn't trust anybody... even your best friend could have been a spy for the STASI.
But now enough of the history lesson ;)

Their accents were really were funny... I hope I don't sound like that when I speak English

Even though I have to say I found the case boring... well maybe not the case itself but the way it was done. The investigation and the many Langston scenes let it seem boring in my opinion.

That's right, I forgot that scene when I originally posted my views. So LF knows a bit of German, that was an interesting sight/thing to hear. He was riveting in this episode, the best scenes were to me, with him and Sara:bolian:The writers are still the best in the industry, this was so different and nothing ever like this, Such creativity, they rock~

I don't watch LV on a regular basis, but I'm an RF fan and was curious about how (bad :p) they'd do so I watched it online today. I agree they shouldn't quit their day jobs, although I think Jay has potential. I also agree with whoever said it was probably awkward for them to play themselves, which is why Jay did a bit better than the other two by having to at least act like he had amnesia. Both stories bored me to tears and just didn't seem to flow well at all. Plus the RF story line was too simplistic, but I can forgive them for that because of the guys' limited acting abilites. I am intrigued about Langston's father, but the rest of that case was just "meh."

The "ZOMG!GRISSOMANDSARAARETEHMARRIEDZ!" comment they had to shoehorn into the episode reminded me why I don't watch this show on a regular basis.

Finally got around to watching this epi. I enjoy some of RF's songs, so I did enjoy that aspect of the show. But, they probably should have left after the opening number, lol. The case was as weak as their acting. High point was the fan girl (Stacey from Drop Dead Diva!). She's cute.

Ray and Sara's case was more interesting, but clearly was devised to further develop Ray's storyline.
I like Henry's code name, 'H'. He's so cute.
And, of course, I love all the Grissom mentions!
Other than that, I was disappointed in the epi. Not much depth to either of the cases here.

So I just watched the episode . Who is the German Obama and when are we going to have that election they were talking about ? Cute fake German but they were not too bad with it , a little bit bookish though

I think they were just mashing together random tidbits to create a tom-clancy-like political thriller plot. It was one third of Angela Merkel (current German chancellor and the first one from the former GDR), one third of Obama namedropping (OMG! imagine if something like that was found out about Obama...cue salivating political adversaries) and one third of spy movie clichés (In my TV experience "evil German agents" usually are hunting down MacGyver...you know, because the story is set at a time when the evil agency in question (Stasi) really existed and really was evil...and not 21 years later.
Somewhere, CBS stores a giant meatgrinder for plot devices, where they get ground up over and over again. Usually the stock evil German agents turn up in series like JAG or NCIS. I'm not sure why they took so long to find their way to CSI.

As a German and a historian I hope that nobody believes that this was a storyline ripped from reality

I loved this episode so much! :D I think that even my mom would love it, someone who loves Rascal Flatts. This was such a funny episode... Jay trying to pick up Catherine after being electrocuted, Sara mentioning her honeymoon on a canoe... Hilarious.

ROFL, yes, these things can drive people crazy.

UH, it's a TV show not real, they pretty much can do or say anything they want, no one cares if it's real or fake, its just good story lines, beliveable to most, and the average lay man doesn't delve this deeply into this, I don't think:confused:

I gotta say I had big expectations for this episode. Catherine did have some funny moments with the RF guys but it wasn't until Sara told Ray how she and Griss went canoeing on their honeymoon, bugs, flotation devices, etc that I really got excited. I mean any mention of Grissom will do that to me but this made me all gitty :) . And I know Sara being the special guest this season meant she couldn't always take part in the high profile cases but come on! I expected everyone (even Ray) to investigate Rascal Flatts! Rip off! Thank god Sara's cute comment made up for some of it.

LeBron finally decided to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat . It’s his determination,, just hope he will have a better future. The website are updating many jerseys for Lebron. For more information, just log in [[spam link removed]http://www.jersey-boys.com/

The "Rascal Flatts" part A story was a bit much, the guys are all nice but not so much in the acting department. Nick, Cath & Greg were on top of it. The part B story was more interesting. I loved seeing Ray and Sara working so in tune on this case. Awesome. Lots of respect and admiration going on. They both had each others backs throughout the story. Good episode all in all~
