Summary: Sara talk to Grissom about blaming himself, Greg finally learn the real truth. The teams head back to Vegas in the van.

Part: 16

Grissom just woke up from his nap, looked down and saw Nick still asleep beside him, he put his hand on Nick's forehead and he still have a fever, but they have to get back to Vegas before Ecklie takes over the lab, because he will lose his job and so it his teams and he will fight Ecklie before he ever take his job. Nobody don't want Ecklie to take over the lab, because they won't listen to him, except Hodges and who know what Hodges will take side.

Sara walked int he room and saw her husband awake. She wondering, if he blaming himself for Nick and Warrick being abducted last years.

Grissom looked up and saw his wife standing by the door and said to her, "Hey, how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough," Sara answered. "What are you thinking about? I hope you not blaming yourself about Nick and Warrick being abducted last years."

"Yes, I do blame myslef. I was thinking, how we going to get rid of Ecklie?" Grissom said.

"First, don't you ever blame yourself for something, you can't control. It's not your fault," Sara explained to her husband. "We going to figure it out, how we going to get rid of Ecklie once and for all. Catherine just told me that you don't want her to called Nick's parents. Why is that?"

"Because I don't want her too," Grissom said.

"I don't understand why did you just let Catherine talk to Nick's parents," Sara answered.

"Do you remember what's happened last time when Nick's parents was here?" Grissom asked.

"Oh, that's right. I forgot about that, when Nick was kidnapped last time." Sara can't believe she forgot aobut it. "Nick's parents threat us, if he ever get kidnap again, they will take him away from us. It that why you don't want Catherine to called them?"

"Yes and I'm not going to lose him," Grissom said.

They talk some more 'till Greg rush in the room and he finally figure it out who hit him on the side of the head when he tried to step foot in the court house.

"I know who is it!" Greg was excited.

"Do you know how to knocked?!" Grissom yelled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I got too excited and I forgot to knocked," Greg said.

"That's okay, don't do it again. Who is the person that hurt you, Nick and Warrick?" Grissom asked.

"It's Ecklie. He is behind the whole time and Nick was right about him," Greg answered.

"Okay. Now we know who have done it to you," Grissom said. "We need to get back to Vegas before it too late."

"How we going to get there? We can't go to the airport," Sara explained. "Remember, Nick is sick."

"I Know. We don't know any place that had rent a car in Portland," Grissom said.

"Before Sara said anything. Brass just walked in the room and tell them a good news about them going back to Vegas.

"I got a good new for you guys," Brass said.

"What, Brass?" Grissom asked.

"We got a Caravan to take us back to Vegas," Brass explained. "Cindy gave us an extra blankets and pillows to keep us warm and Nick warm too."

"Good, let's get out of here," Grissom said. "Soon we get back to Vegas and we need to drop Greg and Nick off the hotel and we are not going back to our house."

"Good. Let's go."

Warrick and Brass helped Nick get in the Caravan, cover him and put the pillow under his head. They all got in the Caravan and left the cabin to head towards Vegas. They are not going to stopped 'till they get to Vegas except gas. They will get to Vegas to get revenge against Ecklie, Shelly and Sam. Gary left town and he hasn't been seen again, he disappearing without a trace. And they will make sure Ecklie, Shelly and Sam spent the rest of their life in prison without possible a parole.

Thank you for the replied. I'm sorry, I took so long. I want to make sure where I'm going with this story. It got 3 more chapter left. Ecklie is in this one. This is a very long story.

Summary: They finally arrived to Vegas and check their selves in a hotel. Grissom told Greg to keep an eyes on Nick while they go after Ecklie. Greg and Brass look for Nick everywhere, they went to his old apartment, they forgot that he didn't live there anymore. Greg want to leave, Brass want to stay and listen what Ecklie said to the phone call he got.

Part: 17

After two days driving, they finally arrived to Vegas, they stopped in a hotel to check in for a night. They got out the renting van, Brass went to check in then walke dout the hotel with two keys. Grissom, Sara, Nick and Brass went inside the hotel room, while Catherine, Warrick and Greg in other room right next door.

Grissom asked Brass, "Why do you want to be here with us?"

"I'm here to take care of Nick while you two can sleep," Brass said. "Do you want Greg or me to stay with you?"

"You can stay. I rather have you here then Greg," Grissom answered. "I've heard Greg snored."

"That is why I'm here and I rather be here then hear him snored," Brass explained. "I know because I've heard him snore when we shared the hotel room in Aspen, Colorado. You couldn't sleep without heard him snored."

The next day, they got up. Grissom looked over at Nick to make sure he is till asleep, he walked over, put his hand on his forehead and still burning up. He can't figure hwy cause the fever to go up, while he figure it out the fever.

Warrick, Catherine and Greg knocked on the door, Brass answered the door and saw Catherine and the boys standing outside the door and they walked in the room.

"Good morning, guys!" Greg shouted.

"Shh, Greg. Nick finally went to sleep this morning," Grissom scolded at Greg.

"I'm sorry about that. I didn't know Nick just went to sleep," Greg said.

"That's okay. Don't do it again," Grissom replied. "Let's get going. We got Ecklie to catch. Greg, you stay here with Nick."

"Why am I have to stay here?" Greg asked. "Why can Warrick stay here? He's Nick's best friend."

"Because I need Warrick. You're too skinny to beat Ecklie, if he is crazy," Grissom explained. "You don't have to worry about Nick, he will be sleep by the time we get back."

"Okay. Let's get this over with," Greg grumbled.

The teams left the room Greg watch over NIck's till he has to go to the bathroom. He went to the bathroom closed the door. Nick woke up, looked around the room and notice nobody is in the room and not realizes Greg is in the bathroom. Nick got up, head towards the door, opened the door and left the hotel to find Grissom. He need Grissom to be with him and he felt safe with Grissom.

Greg walked out the bathroom and saw the door opened. He was in shocked and he hope that Ecklie didn't break in the room while he is in the bathroom. He looked over at the bed and saw the empty bed. He notice Nick is nowhere to be found in the room. He looked at the door opened again, he ran out the hotel and looked around and no Nick. He panicked.

"Grissom is going to kill me w hen he find out about me went to the bathroom," Greg thinking to himself.

Greg walked all over the town to find Nick and he can't find him anywhere, so he keep continue walking 'till he saw Brass pull over the side and got out of his car.

"Greg, what the heck are you doing out here?" Brass asked.

"Ummm, I'm taking a walk," Greg hope Brass bought his lie.

"Oh, really. Who watching Nick?" Brass asked.

"Okay, okay. He's gone and I don't know where he went," Greg said.

"Come on, just get in car," Brass answered.

Greg got in the car and they left the area to find NIck, drive around then went to Nick's old apartment and not realize, he no longer live there anymore, because they forgot he live with Grissom's apartment. Brass and Greg got out the car, walked up to Nick's apartment and Brass knocked on the door then the stranger opened the door.

Brass asked the stranger, "You are not Nick?"

"No, I'm not. Who's Nick?" The man asked, in confusion.

"He is our friend. I'm sorry, we woke you up," Brass said.

The man slam the door to Brass's face. Brass and Greg walked towards Brass' car, got in and left the apartment. Greg remember what Grissom said about Nick live with them.

"I remember, did Grissom said that Nick live with them?" Greg asked.

"That's right. I forgot about Nick live with them," Brass answered.

They drove to Grissom's place, got out the car, walked up to Grissom's apartment and saw the door opened. Brass take out his gun and told Greg to stay behind him, they wlked int he room and saw the room are clean, they walked to the hallway, went to Nick's room and no Nick in the room.

"Well, we found Nick's room," Greg said. "And he is not in his room."

"Of couse he's not in his room," Brass scrowled at Greg. "Where could he be?"

"Let's try the next room," Greg answered.

They walked in Grissom's room and saw Bruno on the bed, they looked and saw Nick sleep on the bed and Bruno is protect him, because the dog is growled at Brass and Greg.

"Umm, Brass," Greg said.

"What?"

"Grissom's dog is growled at us," Greg repleid.

"I know. Calm down, boy. We are here to protect Nick from being harm and we are not here to hurt him," Brass said to the dog.

"You know, dog don't talk."

"Shut up!"

Bruno bark at the stranger who is not Brass or Greg and he keep bark at the man. Brass and Greg can't figure why the dog bark at them. They heard a click behind htem, turn around and saw the gun point at them then they looked up and saw Ecklie holding the gun.

"Get over there and stand by the bed!" Ecklie shouted at them.

"What do you want, Ecklie?" Brass asked.

"I want you to tell me what Nick said to you?" Ecklie said.

"He said, you and Sam are involved of their kidnapped," Brass answered.

"Did he said something else beside me or my nephew?" Ecklie asked.

"Umm, no. He didn't said anything, if he did, we didn't hear him," Brass explained. "He is too sick to tell us."

Ecklie is get ready to shoot Nick, but his cell phone ring, so he answered the phone and left the room to talk to his partner. Brass is get ready to go to the door to listen, but he saw Greg pull back the blanket and grabbed Nick by the waist where his cut is.

"Where are you going?" Brass whispered.

"We are get out of here before he come back," Greg sdaid.

"I want to listen who he is talking to," Brass answered.

"We don't have time. Opened the window, so we can get out of here," Greg explained. "Bring the dog, I got a feeling that Ecklie will killed the dog."

They escape the window, rush to Brass' car, put Nick in the car, Bruno got in the back seat adn they got in and left Grissom's apartment to head backa to the hotel. They finally arrived tot he hotel, they got out the car, Greg help Nick out the car and along with Bruno. Nick gave Greg a hurt looked, because Greg touch his cut on the left side of his rib and he screamed the top of his lugns. Grissom rush outside, followed by Sara and Grissom.

"Where the heck are you been?!" Grissom yelled. "Why my dog here?"

"We are at your apartment to find Nick," Greg explained. "I have to bring your dog here, because Ecklie will shoot him."

Grissom asked Greg, "Why Nick screamed?"

"I don't know why he scream. Maybe Nick is hurt somewhere," Greg said.

Grissom saw Nick's hand tried to peel Greg's hand away from him and he finally figure it out what casue the fever. Greg grabbed Nick by the arms, take him to the hotle room, laid him down ont he bed, take his shirt off and saw his cut on his left side.

"We have to take him to the doctor, so they can give him the antidote," Grissom. "What do Ecklie want?"

"He just want to know what Nick said to us," Bras answered.

"What did you said to Ecklie?" Grissom asked.

"I said, it was Sam and Ecklie and nobody else that Nick didn't said," Brass explained. "Either Nick does know who behind this or he can't remember what's happened. And Ecklie got a phone called that I want to listen."

"What did Ecklie said to the person on the phone?" Catherine asked.

"I don't know, we have to get out of there, because Greg is in a hurry to get out of there, so I don't who he's talking to," Brass answered. "Ummm, Grissom, I got something to tell you."

"What?" Grissom said.

"Nick looked for you, because he sleep on your bed and Bruno stay with him to keep him safe," Brass explained.

"He felt safe around me and he think I'm leaving him," Grissoms aid. "And he is not ready to let me go."

Grissom clean Nick's cut then he put the bandage his left side and cover him up with a blanket. He will get revienge against Ecklie and his family for hurting them too much.

Summary: The teams rush Nick to the hospital, when he went down hill, because he is very sick. Brass told Grissom and Warrick to stay with Nick. Shelly and Sam arrived to the hospital to get Grissom, but Brass and the cops got to them before they went in Nick's room. Ecklie bail them out and told to disappear without a trace.

Part: 18

Grissom woke up from his sleep, he turn the light on, because he heard someone breathing so hard and he looked over at Nick's side, he is still asleep. He turn the light off and few minute later, he turn the light back on and Sara woke up from her sleep and she wondering why her husband keep turn the light on and off.

"What's wrong, Gilbert?" Sara asked.

"Do you hear something? I thought I heard someone breathing so hard," Grissom said.

"No, I don't hear anything." Sara was confused.

Grissom got out the bed and walked over to Nick's bed and bend down to hear him breathing and finally figure who was breathing so hard, it was Nick. He put his hand on Nick's forehead to check the fever, he is burning up and he need to get in the cold bath. Grissom rush to get Brass up from the couch to help him to get Nick in the bathtub.

"Brass, wake up!" Grissom shouted.

Brass woke up from his sleep and said to him, "What do you want?"

"Nick is burning up real fast, he need to get in the bathtub in a hurry and I need your help," Grissom explained.

"Okay. Let's go help him, but if it not working, we will take him to the hospital," Brass answered.

"All right. Deal."

They rush back to the bed and grabbed Nick by the upper arm and took him to the bathroom. Brass turn the cold water on, while Grissom take Nick's pajamas off him except h is boxer and they put him in the bathtub. Nick scream so loud because of the cold water and tried to grabbed Grissom by the neck to get him out the bathtub. Nick gave Grissom, his sadden face, but Grissom put his hand on his forehead and said to him.

"You've been running a fever, that is why we have to put you in the cold bath, so the fever can come down," Grissom explained.

They been doing this for 15 minutes, but it didn't work. They have to take Nick to the hospital, so they took him out the bathtub, Nic laid his head on Grissom's shoulder and hold him real tight. Brass put his shirt and pant on then he put his hand on Nick's forehead and he is hot to the touch, so they rush him out the hotel room, while Sara, Catherine, Warrick and Greg got in the van. Brass driving so fast and he will not stop for cop or anyboyd, because he has to get Nick to the hospital and hope they're not close for the people who are sick.

They finally arrived to Desert Palm, Brass and Grissom grabbed Nick by the arm and rush him to the hospital. They went to the front desk to ask the nurse to get the doctor for Nick.

"Nurse, can you go get the doctor for us?" Brass asked.

"What's your problem, sir?" Nurse answered.

"It wasn't us that need help, it for Nick, he is very sick," Grissom explained. "We tried cold water for him and it didn't work, because his left side is cut and maybe in infection."

"Okay, I will go get the doctor." Nurse left to get the doctor and wheel chair for Nick.

Few minutes later, she arrived back to her desk then take Nick to the room for check up to see what's wrong with him. They wait in the waiting room 'till the doctor get here, while they wait. They come up with a plan to get even with Ecklie, Sam and Shelly.

"Have you decided to go after Ecklie?" Brass asked Grissom.

"Yes, I have. I'm going after him and kick his butt for hurting my boys and explained to Shelly that I'm not interested in her," Grissom explained. "I'm a married man, but she don't care that Sara and I are married."

"Good. Soon the doctor take care of Nick and give him something and I want you and Warrick to stay with him," Brass said.

"Why I have to stay?" Warrick, in confused.

"Because Nick doesn't know that you were kidnapped also," Brass said.

"Oh, that's right. I forgot that he doesn't know anything about me being kidnapped," Warrick answered. "All right, I will stay 'till he get better."

"Good. I will leave 'till the doctor get here to tell us about Nicky," Brass said.

Doctor finally show up, walked in the living room and said to them, "Mr. Stokes is doing fine. We gave him an antidote to killed the infection. And we clean his cut that cause the infection on his left side."

"He is going to be okay, Doctor?" Grissom asked.

"He will be and he need a lot of rest to get better and no work for a while 'till he see his therapy," Doctor Carter explained. "You can go in and see him."

"Thanks."

The teams walked in Nick's room and saw his a sleep on his right side. Grissom and Warrick walked up to Nick's bed and sat down on the chair beside him. Brass leave the room to called the police to come to the hospital and arrest the bad guys when they get here. Few minutes later, police finally show up including Sofia at the hospital and they went to hide and wait for Shelly and Sam to show up.

Sam and Shelly walked in the hospital, unknown to them, the cops are watching them to enter the hospital. They saw Grissom and his teams in Nick's room and they will tried to get Grissom away from the teams. Shelly saw Sara alive as well and she can't believe Gary didn't killed her like he said he will. She will have to do it herself, if she want Grissom away from Sara.

Before they went inside the room, the cops stop them entering the room.

"Freeze!" Brass yelled. "And you are not going anywhere and you're under for kidnapped the CSI."

They arrest Shelly and Sam then Brass said to them,"Grissom is married to Sara and he will not leave her for you and he doesn't hired you and who idea wait. Aah, don't tell me, I think I know who hired to made it look like Grissom hired you."

"Who?" Sam asked.

"Your idiot Uncle Ecklie," Brass said. "Take them away and they made me sick to look at them and tried to find Ecklie and arrest him too."

"Yes, sir."

They left the hospital with Shelly and Sam. Brass walked in the room to tell them that they caught Sam and Shelly and they are so glad they don't have to see them and Ecklie ever again.

Cops walked out hte hospital. Ecklie shot two cops in the shoulder and release Sam and Shelly out the cuffs and told him.

"Get out of here before it too late," Ecklie said.

"What about Grissom? I want him!" Shelly yelled at her uncle.

"Will you quit worry about him? He show no interested in you then he does that loose cannon," Ecklie said. "Grissom is mine and I will take care of him. Get out of here before I change my mind!"

They left the hospital parking space and they won't be seen 'till next time. Ecklie will kick Grissom's butt and he will fight him for the night shift and he will take care of the teams, if he doesn't get arrest when he get his revenge against Grissom and the teams. And he will not tell Grissom and the teams who really are behind the kidnapped. This people will killed them if they get in their way.

Here is a Chapter 19 that I tried to post it last night, but the board keep logging me out. One more chapter and I hope I don't take this long. I'm sorry I took so long to get my muse going and I'm trying to figure it out to do with Grissom and Ecklie, but here is it.

Summary: Grissom told Warrick to keep an eyes on Nick. He went to find Ecklie. Catherine tried to called Nick's parents, but no respond from them. Nick panicked.

Part: 19

Grissom and his teams wait in the waiting room and wait for the doctor to come out and tell them about Nick and they hope Nicky is okay and hoping the infection didn't made him worst then he already have. Few minutes later, Doctor Taylor came in the waiting room.

"Anybody here for Nick Stokes?" Dr. Taylor asked.

"We're his teams," Grissom said. "How's he doing, Doctor?"

"He doing fine. We just gave him antibiotic and put the stitch on his left side of his rib," Dr. Taylor explained. "He is asleep and you guys can visit him for a little while and he need his rest. Don't take too long."

"Okay, Doctor and we won't stay long. Thanks, Dr. Taylor." Grissom said.

The teams walked out the waiting room then went in Nick's room and saw him laid on his side. Grissom and Warrick walked up to Nick's bed, they sat down on the chair and wait for Nick to wake up.

"He look so peaceful when he sleep," Warrick said.

"Yes, he does and I hope he get better soon," Grissom answered.

Catherine asked Grissom, "Should I called Nick's parents?"

"No, don't called Nick's parents," Grissom said.

"Why can I called them?" Catherine was confused.

"Because I said so. He doesn't want his parents to know that he was hurt," Grissom lied.

The reason Grissom lied, because Nick's parents are no longer with Nick and his siblings has been missing for so long. He promise the cops in Dallas and his mom, he will protect Nick, because someone will go after him if the person knew Nick is still alive and he is in Vegas all this time and he will protect him from being hurt. And Brass will do the same thing and he knew Nick's parents are no longer here and he also knew about his siblings being missing. Grissom already told Sara about Nick and she promise not to tell anybody especially Catherine, Greg and Warrick and she knew her friends will be hurt when they find out about Nick's family and she hope they understand one day.

Brass came in the room so fast and told the teams, "Sam and Shelly escape and Ecklie help them get away!"

"Did the cop said anything where Ecklie is going?" Grissom asked.

"No, he didn't. We got to find him before it too late," Brass answered.

"Okay. Warrick, I want you and the teams stay with Nick and don't go anywhere outside this room," Grissom ordered him.

"Okay, I won't go anywhere except going to the bathroom here." Warrick said. "Go after Ecklie and fight him or made him paid for what he did."

"All right. Let's go find him, Brass." Grissom said.

The left the hospital to find Ecklie before he hurt someone. While they looked for Ecklie. Catherine walked out the room to called Nick's parents. Warrick saw Catherine walked out the room, so he followed her out the room and saw her on the phone then hang up the phone.

Warrick asked Catherine, "Who are you calling?"

"I'm calling Nick's parents," Catherine answered.

"I thought Grissom told you not to calls Nick's parents," Warrick said.

"Do you think I will listen to him? Or he won't call them himself," Catherine explained.

"No, I know you don't listent to him or anybody. Maybe you're right or maybe he won't calls them, because I think he is afraid he will lose Nick. He's special all of us."

"We all afraid to lose Nick and yes, he is special to us," Catherine said.

Catherine called them again and hang up again after she received no answered from them, because their phone was disconnected. She walked back in the room and saw Nick is still asleep.

Warrick asked Catheirne, "Well, do you get hold of them again?"

"No, I didn't. Their phone is disconnected." Catherine said. "Do you remember when I called Nick's parents when he was kidnapped?"

"Yes, I do and you didn't get no repsond from them. It sound like they moved or something," Warrick answered.

"Yes, I wondered what's going on and why Grissom doesn't want me to called Nick's parents," Catherine said. "What about his siblings? I'm sure he have a brothers and sisters."

"Nick didn't mention them to me or maybe he doesn't remember what's happened to them," Warrick explained. "Maybe he just want to get away from them or something."

"I agree. Grissom got some explain it to do." Catherine said, in anger.

Unknown to them, Sara overheard them talking about Nick's familyand she agree with them. Grissom need to tell them about Nick's parents and what's happened to his siblings. She will tell him what Catherine and Warrick said. Right now, she has to wait, because Grissom went after Ecklie and so it Brass.

Back in the room.

Nick is starting to wake up, he opened his eyes and looked around the room and start to panicked 'till he saw Warrick on the chair beside him. Warrick saw Nick woke up and looked at him.

"Hey, Buddy. How are you doing?" Warrick asked.

"I'm doing fine. Where's Grissom?" Nick answered.

"He and Brass went after Ecklie and they will charge him kidnapped us and attempted murder of Grissom."

"Why would Brass charge Ecklie attempted murder?" Nick was confused.

"Because he shot Grissom and he deserved to go to jail for what he did," Warrick said.

"He may kidnapped us and he didn't shot Grissom," Nick explained. "Somebody is the same size as Ecklie."

"Do you know who shot Grissom?" Warrick asked.

"No, I don't know who shot him and I didn't see his face," Nick said.

"Okay. Now we know somebody else shot Grissom and I wondering who also involved in this," Warrick replied. "And how many are there?"

"Beside this one, 2 people are involved in this and they won't show their face," Nick explained. "I hope Brass and Grissom get Ecklie to talk about who is involved."

"I hope so too. You get some rest and we will be right here when you wake up," Warrick said.

"Okay." Nick went back to sleep. Warrick wondering if Grissom find him or not and he hope he does find him.

Meanwhile outside the park.

Grissom finally arrived to the park and saw Ecklie standing there and wait for him to get out his car. He called Brass to let him know where he is at. He got out of his car and walked up to Ecklie.

Grissom said to Ecklie, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure. What do you want to ask me about?" Ecklie sneered at him.

"Why did you kidnapped Warrick and Nick, not Greg?" Grissom asked. "Do you hate me that much or what? And why did you shot me?"

"Okay. Do you really want to know why I did this?" Ecklie said.

"Yes, I like to know why do you do all this thing," Grissom answered.

"All right, here is it. 1, they hard worker, I need them to work and Greg will get on my nerves by asking question and maybe next time I will kidnapped him and put him in the kitchen, so he can feed the people. 2, I'm jealous of you, because the teams looked up to you, not me," Ecklie explained to Grissom. Brass and the polices finally arrived to the park and got out the car then pulled the gun on Ecklie.

"Put your hands up, Ecklie!" Brass yelled. "You are under arrest for the kidnapped and attempt murder."

"You called the police on me!" Ecklie shout at Grissom. "I didn't shoot you! Somebody else did and you don't know who you were dealing with!"

"Yeah, yeah, I heard tha before," Brass rolled his eyes out. "You are still under arrest for doing this."

"I hope you can protected the one you love and I'm not talking about the woman you love," Ecklie said.

Polices has to dragged him to the police car. Grissom is confused what Ecklie just said and he wondering who elsde is involved. Unknown to them, man is watching the police arrest Ecklie and he will made sure Ecklie shut his mouth and if he don't, he will shut him up himself. He will talk to the man in the office and ask him, what he is going to do with Grissom's teams. He left the park and hed towards the police station to talk to Ecklie.
