The Official Pet Thread pt2

I've been missing my pets so bad lately. I'm at university and of course there's no pets allowed in the dorms (except fish which I am seriously considering getting). I constantly get my mom and brother to send me pictures of my cats and dog to my phone though.

I honestly get more excited to see my animals than my family when I go home.

If you get a fish be careful who you let take care of it. When I was in college a friend of mine had a fish and our dorm's head resident (who was a nun and lived on the Catholic affiliated campus) said she'd take care of it over winter break since my friend was going out of state with the jazz band. We came back and you could smell the dead fish outside her closed dorm room door. It was so gross.

 That's terrible, I probably would have cried, even over a fish!

No one will take care of my fish except me. Except if I HAD to I think I could trust my roommate to do it. Probably.

Hi folks. My sister could use some good thoughts right now.

One of her dogs died suddenly and it's unclear the cause right now.

So just send her some good vibes. Thanks.

Well, I officially now temporarily have three cats again. Snow Kitty still lives in his "apartment" upstairs on his own, and Cricket has the downstairs.

The new addition is Girly, my dad's cat. He's been in the hospital for a couple of weeks and will be in rehab for a couple of weeks, and she was just so lonely and I couldn't spend a lot of time with her when I went over there.

So I brought her home with me Saturday. And believe it or not, she and Cricket get along! They aren't friends, but there have been no fights. Cricket...bless his heart...is so sweet and curious, but when he gets too close to her she growls at him. He couldn't hurt a fly if he stepped on it! Actually, she just growls if he comes up behind her, so maybe she's afraid he's going to jump her.

Anyway, I'm so happy that it worked out, and so is my dad. :)

Thanks, guys! :) I can't believe Cricket is being so cool about it. He's such a sweet guy! :adore:

He is! :) I like him too! :D

It's nice to hear they get along... and it's way better for Girly now because she doesn't have to be alone anymore.

Great news :D
