Here is some pics of Troy George..we just call him Troy..it's easier that way..he's sprawled on my daughter's Hannah Montanna blanket with his feet on a teddy bear. He's such a man like that!

I'm too sexy for this Hannah Montanna blanket!

Lisa I keep my fingers crossed for you finding Millie ;)

It was 14 years ago today that this little guy came into our lives. We named him Max. Due to a trip to the vets we found out that his previous owners didn't want him anymore. They 'lost' him. Max was 5 when he adopted us and only lived for not quite 3 more years. Max died of liver failure :( but he did introduce my hubby to the wonderful world of cats. We wouldn't be doing what we do today if it hadn't been for Max.

It's been just over a year now that Thomas died :( We still miss him but it's also been an interesting year to see how the other 3 cats have changed without his attention grabbing ways.

Max and Thomas I hope you're enjoying yourselves with the long list of cats that my family has collected over the years.

my cat came back!! yay!! she came in for food this evening and then went out again but was back later - she's gone out (again) now but at least i know she's around!

Excellent news!! :)

Just a little update on my guys....I finally figured out what was making Cricket get sick all over the house all day long for a couple of weeks. It was, as usual, a change in his diet. Now he (and I!) are very happy and puke-free. :)

And Ellie's new food is doing wonders for her...um....litterbox habits too. She had to go back to the green pea and duck formula food, and it seems to be suiting her well.

^^ thanks!

*lisa*, I think maybe your cat has found a new boy friend and is spending the night over at his place. ;)

Smokey, you didn't happen to have fed Cricket some liver, did you? That would sure make me sick. Take away my Big Macs or Burrito Supremes and feed me liver and... watch out. That was the only flavor of Pup-er-oni that I never bought for my friends' dogs. If I don't eat something, I wouldn't feed it to any living thing.

haha, that would be quite funny. she's been done so it's unlikely on that score, but also she's a real loner, she even hates it when i or boobs (my other cat) touch her. we had a mystery cat for a while who would come in at night and sleep on the sofa with them - i'd come down in the morning, see them there and say "hello cats" or something and then leave the room and then stop and think "hang on, i don't have three cats!"

i'm impressed by how welcoming they were of him so i guess she might have eloped with him or something.

That's actually how Stella came to live with us, only we had three cats at that time, then Stella walked right in and made herself at home and suddenly we had four cats.

^^cute! cats do seem to know who their friends are! the weirdest thing about mystery cat is i don't think he ever eats our cat food, he just comes in to sleep. oh and that he looks almost exactly like millie (but short haired, millie's long haired) and so sometimes if i'm half asleep/not concentrating, i see him in the kitchen and i think it's her!

Cats "exploit" humans by purring.

So true they're manipulative, but what can we do? They're so cute !!! :p

Btw, my cat doesn't wake me up in the mornings with the "soliciting purr", the trick: his bowl is always filled with dry food so he didn't need to annoy me. But he's very manipulative anyway and pet lovers can resist that.;)

I'm so worried about Squeakers, my fifteen year old calico. She has Upper Respiratory Infection and she also had some blood work done to see if she hyperthyroidism.

Squeakers is my favourite kitty. She's a little diva, a little sweetheart, so friendly. I don't know what I would do if I lost her.:(:(:( I know I'm going to have to deal with it soon.

MyFutureCSI....thinking good thoughts for poor Squeakers. We always hope for the best, but it's also good when we realize that they've gotten to the point where we have to start thinking about the worst. It helps, somehow.

BUT....Squeakers is eating and resting and I'm sure she'll be fine! :)
