OMG.

I was reading the newspaper and there was an article about us defending the Finns about their cuisine but they said that the MOOMINS came from Finland! :eek: I did not know that! :eek:

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. :cool: *sniffs about her Moomin ruler that was broken last year*
 
YES! Moomins are Finnish! :D Tho, Tove Jansson (RIP) was *cough* Swedish speaking *cough* :D
Can you believe that she drew first Moomin, because she wanted to scare her little bro with ugliest creature she can draw?

There's a Moominworld in Finland :p
Never been there tho, it wasn't there when I was a kid and now I'm bit too old for it :lol:
 
Aww, the ugliest? But it's so darned cute it cannot scare anything! :lol: Um, there was something they wrote too, like Moominmama and Moominpapa, that was SO adorable! :D
 
Yeah ugliest, kinda strange eh?

In Finnish those are Muumimamma and Muumipappa. I guess those become from Swedish because "mamma" means mother and "pappa" means father. Which is strange because in Finnish "pappa" is one word for "grandfather".
 
It's the same in norwegian :p
I used to watch it all the time when I was younger :D It was actually pretty scary sometimes :eek:

Thank you. They look cute. :) Umm. I grew up watching Mr. Dressup with Casey and Finnegan. When the lady who was Casey and Finnegan retired, they replaced all the puppets, with new ones. The new puppets were stupid. :( Last year I found three dvds of the C&F years. ... I bought them. Oh, I also watched Tales from the Riverbank. :D

Unfortunatly... America know no such thing of Moomins. We have stupid crap- Barney, the stoner Teletubies, those freaky Boo Bah people, and Blues Clues. No likey that doggie.

But as long as the children love it... I guess we can live with it? Nah... I take it back.

What's the best song on the Nightwish CD, Wishmaster, IYO.
Duckie's is prolly Wanderlust, Kazzy's is multiple ones.. Planet Hell and Sleeping Sun? Yeah..
