Nightwish is actually metal. Even their latest album has some rock-ish sound.

Personally I think Wishmaster is the best album, then comes Oceanborn and ONCE.
I like Wishmaster because then it was mostly just Tarja's voice and the sound they first created. Same with Oceanborn.

Ooh. But a major-super-ultra-megan fan of Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton. Hence the V-Carlton icon. :)

wibble you should really buy their CDs. They kick ass! *pauses to faint at kazzy's avy* And Marco's beard is hot!!!

I agree with Ducky that Wishmaster and Oceanborn(I don't own that one yet) are the best. Tarja's vocals were so amazing back then and I wish we could hear more of her classic vocals now as they were back 4 years ago, right?

She still gets in some pretty vocals though,
(Kuolema Tekke Taiteilijan, Creek Mary's Blood, Forever Yours, Higher Than Hope, The Siren) are beautiful songs but nothing Wishmaster-ous.

At times I find myself loving Marco's voice/screams. :D Especially in The Siren. And 10th Man Down.. he's so awesome, but I still like the older stuff.

Oh yes, Marco's voice is good in some songs, but still...


I'm waiting Xmas album that Tarja will make as solo :D

He also sings in "The Pharaoh Sails To Orion" and "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean". :)
I'm crossing my fingers for more opera vocal on their next album! :)

^WHat she said. Because Marco became member of Nightwish in their "Century Child" album. So he has been only in two latest albums.

And Tuomas sings in first album...sooo cute :p :lol:
 
Hey CSIri! I see you're from Norway - I'm from England and thinking abouot going there on holiday next year. What are the msot beautiful parts of Norway to visit? :D (hope you don't mind me asking) :)

You should go to the western part of our country to see the beautiful fjords and mountains. The best place to see this is in a county called Sogn og fjordane.
If you like walking you can take a trip to one of our many mountains.. Like Beseggen , or maybe Rondane.
We also have a lot of beautiful nature up north in Lofoten and Tromsø. Hope this helps you a bit. And don't be afraid to ask if there's anything else you're wondering about :)

And Sanna, there's absolutely nothing cute about Tuomas' singing in the first album :p It is scary :lol:

Thanks ever so CSIri - that's really helpful and those pictures are amazing! :D that's just what I was looking for and know the scenery with the fjords and mountains is meant to be very beautiful :D I've made a note of those places, and will look into it some more once I've checked the friends I want to go with can afford it :lol: (we're all students you see) :rolleyes: :D
 
Tromsö (Yes Siri, I use Finnish ö!) is pretty, my parents and my sis has visited there. I want to go fishing to north Norway some day :( My friend went there to fish a month ago or so
 
You can come fish with me Sanna! :D Have I ever told you that my dad has been norwegian champion in sea fishing? :p
We used to go fish a lot, but not so much the last couple of years since we haven't had much time. But my dad has promised me that he'll take me ice fishing this winter :)
 
:D YAY fishing! I can't wait winter to come...even..have to wait until Feb or so before going for ice fishing...
