The Football Thread #4 - It Is Not Soccer

aww poor u inge :( *hugs* hope after all Austria to win the third place ;)

btw i already want to be August, coz.... hummm English Premiership start again and the first game is Man Utd. vs Reading (12.08.07) wow this will be a lot interesting coz i like both teams... but more support from my side will have the royals :)

Oh yeah I'm looking forward to the beginning of the new season, too. Bayern Munich bought some good players, but I'm not sure yet how this will work out. Having tooo many good players can be a problem if talented young people like Lukas Podolski are suddenly only reserve, they get demotivated. Although imho Podolski and Klose would be a perfect striker duo, just like during the world cup! :)

coz of this i`m happy that Dimitar Berbatov (my fav player at this moment) stay in Tottenham. if he have agree to move in Man Utd. or Liverpool i wasn`t sure that he will play every game - too many big stars have there ;) sometimes i feel bad coz talented young people stay most of the time in the reserve bench... not fair for them and for the fans... but this is the football politic...

Reading will need all the support they can get in that one, so thanks for the moral support. :D

Reading's fixtures at the start of the season are really tough indeed. First two games: Man Utd and then Chelsea. That shouldn't be allowed! ;) If we get any points from those games, we'll be very happy.

ahhh i believe Reading will make it somehow ... very tough beginning, but they surprise us last year and must go on this direction again... my comfort thought is that when royals play at home they are the best :)

Just saw the match between Chelsea and Beckham's LA Galaxy... The kept passing the ball to him, what did they expect he'd score a goal from the middle of the pitch?

I bet Becks is wondering what he's gotten himself into

my boys lost again! :( :(
Chile beat us 1:0
Their goalie was so good  and Austria has so much bad luck.
I hate 4th places.

Nevertheless I'm very proud. I think this was the best result for an Austrian team.
I hope to see a lot of them in our national team in some years.

MLS!! If I hear those 3 letters again it'll be too soon  No really though, has anyone seen the new show on Channel 5 with Tim Lovejoy 'David Beckhams Soccer USA' The MLS is like the equvilant to League 1 (Old Divison 2) Leeds Utd would challenge for the tittle if they were playin' in the MLS  But I'm sure Beckhams 125million he's getting makes up for the shite soccer :p

2 WEEKS TO GO TIL PREMIERSHIP KICKS OFF I'm really missin' it now. But I'm major bummed that Tim Lovejoy won't be doin' Soccer AM anymore :( no need to get up on a Saturday anymore

Yay! Reading have beaten Everton 1-0 in the Premiership. :D

We're now 6th (and we've played Man U and Chelsea) - very happy about that. Well done boys. :)

Congratulation to The Royals for theirs first win this new season. :D

After theirs wonderful games vs Man U and Chelsea, I think that Reading will take very good position in Premiership whole year. ;) Top 5 any one ?

btw Tottenham vs. Derby 4:0 YAY for the Spurs. :D

I hope they do well. They certainly deserve it.

As a Newcastle fan, yesterday's result doesn't really impress me too well. I'm hoping we can make top 6 this season. Who knows?

I've been watching Champion's League qualifications... our team (TamU) was doing well.. until they faced Norwegian Rosenborg (they won like 13 national championships in a row  )and lost here 0-3  Oh well..only needs 4 goals in 2nd game and win and they'd get forward

I dont even think we (man united) will make the top ten at this rate..
Geeze.. drew two games then lost against city today.. I feel so sick..
I think we are too far behind to win the premier now. I know we have only had three games but this now means United cant exactly slip up again.. which wil be impossible.. especially with rooney, neville and ronaldo out.
Tut.

liverpool definately deserved to beat chelski today that pen was a ridiculous decision, pressure from a team of bullies
hehe utd 2 pts from 9 an i actually thort u may retain the championship this yr

I see that Rob Styles has been dropped from refereeing next weekend, due to his error-ridden performance at Anfield yesterday. BBC link

I know that refs have a very difficult job, but that penalty decision yesterday was one of the worst I have ever seen.
