Well it's jalkapallo in Finnish (jalka = foto pallo = ball), fotball in Scandinavian languages, Fussball in German, fútbol in Spanish etc.
I sat with a Dutch guy watching the NFL playoff games yesterday, and he kept calling it soccer and I told him I was surprised, and he said he was just doing it to avoid confusion. :lol:
Euro 2012 is going, 2nd games started yesterday.
My poor Oranje Lost 1-0 to Denmark and 2-1 to Germany. I guess that's pretty much it. Their last game is against Portugal, if I remember right.
Germany looked really tough. So does Spain. Haven't had time to watch game so much, tho.
And Russia got 120,000€ fine because its fans in the first Russia games. They threw fireworks to field and shouted racist comments towards other team's player.
IMHO, they should be arrested and put back to plane and to their own country.
