The Football Thread #4 - It Is Not Soccer

Nice to see England winning but I'll not get my hopes up! We qualified for the World Cup in a good way and look what happened then....

We shall wait and see. Very happy for Darren Bent and Adam Johnson for bagging their first (and in Adam's case -- also his second!) England goal this week :)


So glad the Premier League is back though. I can turn my attention back to the love of my sporting life - Chelsea FC.

ehmm... he did not retire.... van marwijk (the coach) preferred van Persie to van Nistelrooy during the worldcup... personally I think it's great van Nistelrooy is back... his ego is definitely not too big, otherwise he would have say thanks, but no thank you.... furthermore I think the team needs someone with his experience.....

About the game... the story continues... we didn't play very well, but won :rolleyes:... If Finland wins every match from now on.... you will be qualified won't you?

Well... tonight we (i.e. the netherlands) have to compete again against Finland :cool: (qualification european championship)

it seems Finland has to win.. don't they?

Well no surprise there :p We've sucked once again and .. yeah

Hah, I was in a meeting yesterday evening and before we started I said "hope we are fast, so I can see the game" and some guy said, why to bother because we all know the result. I wanted to say that doh, I don't watch it because of Finland, I'll watch it because of Holland ;)
 
Scholes comes back for ManU! :eek: :eek: I wonder has he really been practising so hard that he can play the games?

Erm what about no? It's football for us and I assume for most of the world (except NA) and most of the other languages (even tho we use English here)

You can do NFL thread if you like and if you put the NFL to the title, people probably find the right thread...

I think there's one for the american football.. or was it for college football? I do not know about the leagues of NA.

And in the most of other languages it is called 'football' ;)

Anyways, looks like Scholes coming back wasn't a bad one.. scored in the first game. Haven't checked the sport results in a few days so I don't know has ManU played since.
