The Fanfic Writers Thread

^ I had an idea similar to that. I was going to have Greg work a case with Sara but have something happen and Sara gets hurt so it's up to Greg to get them both home alive. ;)

Don't you guys hate it when someone leaves a comment on your story but it's more of an insult? Ugh, I hate that! No constructive criticism either, they're all just basically saying that you suck and your story is crap and blah, blah, blah

Ooh, cool idea for a thread! I'm Janet, and I hate writing in public because people can be mean sometimes :). But I'm getting over that.

I know I saw a crossover thread somewhere around here, but you know what would be interesting? I CSI conference, where all three shows meet as one to solve a crime. Not my idea (my father's), but interesting :).

Janet thats a GREAT idea I had actaully started a crossover for CSI and CSI NY but thats only because I dont watch Miami but for those of you that do doing a conference for all three would be really cool

Damn, I'm stuck right now...I want to post another chapter for my story but I have no idea if I should post a hospital chapter and then the trial...*looks around* Don't mind me, I'm just talking to myself :D

See? I gotcha covered, because I watch Miami (uh... for the time being), but not NY :) And Raven, depends what you hope to accomplish. A really good friend once told me that each scene should serve a purpose. When the purpose is served, you move on. The hospital could serve a ton of purposes. It could show Sara's mood, development with Joshie-poo, or none-of-the above. The same could be said about a trial.

So yep, this was no help!

My problem with my latest fic is that for the first 5 chapters I've had Sara and Grissom separately narrarating their feelings and now it's high time for them to actually talk and... I have nothing. I'm careening headlong into a cliched terrace talk and completely out of fresh ideas.

So here's my dilemma: should I

1) Put my spin on the "I'll go get some fresh air" and the other follows or
2) Have them interrupted by a character, therefore prolonging their first real talk.

This is not, just to clarify, a "let's get together and make babies" talk, but it will be their first real conversation of the fic.

Man I've been so busy I havent actually sat down and written a Snickers fic THE One I posted the other night that was loosely based on the Movie Fools Rush in I wrote awhile ago
I mean for me its not like I have writers block because I dont I have so many ideas floating in my head it aint funny
its just that well I dont have time to actually sit down and get those ideas onto Paper *sighs*

Yes, I know how writer's block is...oh boy do I know! It sucks, but eventually you get out of it :D

My mom and sister are reading my story! :D *SQUEE* My sister told me she only read the first page and she says it's really great! :D *sniff*

Ooh this looks like an awesome thread! :D

I am suffering from the horrid writer's block *cue horror movie scream*. Anyone have any suggestions for maybe a drabble fic to kick the block to the curb?

*huggles Jenna* I hear ya, girl  I'm in the same boat! But here's my piece of advice- when you get writer's block, I suggest taking a break from writing for a while. Maybe watch a movie, just relax... and believe me, that little writing spark comes to you when you least expect it. Always happens to me ;) Or for instance, watch a CSI: episode heavy on the ship you like or character for inspiration. Music is always good, too!

But don't ever feel pressured to write. You'll write when you're ready to; don't force it. :)
