Jorja Fox was not in any credits posted online before the premiere aired. TPTB did a really good job of not letting their secret out.

Anyways, I am very very excited for this episode on so many different levels.

I'm excited about Catherine's case the most I think. Considering the Rampart Casino was Sam Braun's. I have a feeling that the body they find will be one that Sam Braun possibly had a part in? Also, I'm excited to see Catherine's mother! They've never really had much interaction, or that I can remember of.

Some familiar faces this episode.

John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox from Enterprise) is really making the rounds. He was just on Journeyman this week and was in a CSI: NY on season 2, besides NCIS, Cold Case, The Closer, and many more.

Anita Gillette is back for the third time as Catherine's mom. Hope she gets to do more than just babysit Lindsey. They shouldn't waste such a good actress.

Cassius Willis also appeared in a second season CSI: NY.

Todd Jeffries is back as a Foreman just like in the season 4 episode "Coming of Rage."

Lucas Babin was in a season five CSI: Miami.

Just saw William Russ yesterday in a rerun of JAG. Known for his role as the dad on Boy Meets World, he was in a season one episode of, you guessed it, CSI: NY. Do you think the casting person needs to expand the database a bit?

There is a clip up of the "proposal" so to speak on you tube. Can I post the link or will I get mod back handed?

This scene is hillarious. I love how he brings it up like its nothing. Sara's face is utterly priceless. I would have reacted the same way!

Re: "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp" Discussion *SPOILE

Isn't this the episode that Greg is supposedly writing a book about the mob in Vegas and asks Catherine's mom out to dinner? Now they should have shown that in the previews. That would have been funny.

Re: "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp" Discussion *SPOILE

Not only that Dizzney, but it would be more motivating for me to watch the episode had I seen Greg in the previews.

They reuse the same actors over and over again, even from Vegas. Yesterday there was an episode on Spike TV and the main suspect had been played by the same guy as one of the main suspects in a case the day before.

The guy who played the father in "Pilot" also showed up a lot in other cases.

And seeing Mr. Matthews on CSI will be fun. I can't wait to see the episode, just for that. In the season opener of Miami I was really excited to see "Simon Camden" as a suspect. BUT I was always a much bigger fan of of Boy Meets World.

I'm pretty excited.

John Billingsley is a phenomenal actor. He really is. I mean, I wasn't the biggest fan of his character on "Enterprise," but I saw some clips of him on "The Nine" (ironically, the girl playing Natalie the psycho mini killer was also on that) and he was just phenomenal. So, it's great to see him in another role. He's just one of those great actors who can either play the cuddliest character you've ever met or the most ruthless. I'll be eager to see which he was signed for in this role.

I saw that clip too, by a complete accident. Just browsing through the 248 messages on my livejournal (since I hadn't been on it in 19 weeks. heh.) and I pressed play on the youtube thing. And there I saw it.

I wish I hadn't, since it sort of ruined the surprise.

But I even in the promos, I love Sara's jaw-dropping reaction.

And, I didn't know this was the episode where Greg asks Catherine's mom out  I love that guy!

Re: "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp" Discussion *SPOILE

The last two weeks, I was so proud of CSI. They were going back into the eerie, mysterious cases that they used to work. And then, they just ruined it by having a ridiculous montage of Grissom and Sara. Another ratings ploy by the "great" minds of TPTB.

Had they not shown them as the ENTIRE preview for next weeks episode, I might have been inclined to watch it. But now? If I want to see montages of Grissom and Sara I will go to youtube and look at all of the fan vids that are up.

The only saving grace that I have for this show is that Sara won't be along much longer! YIPPEE!!!

Sorry if anyone disagrees but, the above is simply my opinion. :p

Re: "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp" Discussion *SPOILE

You might want to check out the CTV promo for next week - it shows a lot of the case and only has the proposal at the very, very end without a lot of cheesy voice-over and zero montage.

I have to say that as a GSR fan, I found that preview pretty bad. More because I think it was taking a fairly laid-back scene and making it sound like Grissom was on his knees in a tux holding up a diamond while Sara sobbed and fainted.

Either way - much more about the case from the CTV promo.

You can find it here:

Re: "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp" Discussion *SPOILE

I'm actually intrigued by the case. Hate crimes are one of those things I remember hearing a lot about back in the day, and it's just not as talked-about where I am, I guess, now.

Of course, as a GSR fan I'm very curious about all that, but I've mentioned before that I don't think an all-GSR promo on air AND online was the smartest move. Because, obviously there's going to be this absolutely grand case to get into!

Not that I'm not excited about the online version, but I think having an onair version all GSR as well was where they went overboard. Just my opinion, though.

I also like seeing both Warrick and Nick really affected by a case. They just give very different, but very wonderful performances when the case is about more than just collecting evidence and examining it in a sterile environment... I like when there's the human element, as well. Again, just my opinion.
