CHALLENGE 6: Pink, Purple or White – Voting

PLEASE NOTE that rule #1 has been amended. PLEASE READ IT before voting, otherwise I won’t be happy if I have to start babysitting people in here. Thank you.

Please read this post carefully before voting.

[1] Vote for the top 3 of least quality. You need to include a valid reason for each vote, otherwise it won't be counted. This means your reasons should be based on the quality of the photo, NOT the interpretation of the theme by the photographer.
[2] Any member of this board may vote.
[3] The photographers with the top two number of votes will be eliminated.

Here are some examples of good reasons:

31: The photo is overexposed
44: The subject is slightly blurry
59: Not enough contrast (between colours and/or shapes)
63: Ineffective composition
75: The photo has too many elements/no main point of interest
57: Lack of texture

Examples of bad reasons:

44: I hate the colours in the photo (personal preference)
63: The photo is boring
31: I don't feel it relates to the theme enough

Excellent photographs. It was really hard to choose this time, but here are my choices.

02 - Too much glare/brightness on the flower. Next time try cutting down on the intensity of the light. Maybe by using a less direct lighting source.

01 - The top half of the flower looks over exposed.

05 - The sun coming in from the top causes glare on the image and detracts from the flower.

Great photos! This is getting really hard!

1: the top of the photo seems to be overexposed

2: the white in the photo is too bright, there is too much light

5: the background at the top looks overexposed

Fantastic photos! Interesting to see how four out of five people thought of flowers.

It wasn't easy but here's my votes:

2 - The glare in the centre of the photo detracts the detail from the photo at its focal point.

3 - The photo appears a little overexposed.

5 - The top-centre/ top-left of the photo is a little over-exposed.

So, so tough! Great work everyone, it is really difficult to fault any of them. :)

1. Overexposed, too bright
3. Nice idea, but ineffective composition (I think)
4. Too bright, makes it appear slightly blurred

Bev, your description of #3 doesn't match the image? Is this an error? ;)

Wow this was hard!! They all look wonderful!

05 - the top is too bright/over exposed
03 - the other colors distract from the pink theme
02 - the white is too intense/bright

02 - Too much contrast on this one. I'll agree with Bev on the light.

03 - Great idea, refreshing, especially while the other entries have similar subjects. However, there isn't enough contrast to make the pink stand out. Pity.

01 - The top of the rose looks over exposed although I have to admit I really lovee this one.

03 - Ineffective composition and the pink clashes with the other colours.

01 - Overexposed making the middle of the pink flower look bright white.

02 - Too much light creating a glare.

01 - Overexposed
03 - not enough of the subject colors (nice idea to use something other than flowers)
05 - background distracts because you can see the pixels (if it was blurred it might pop out the subject matter more)

This one was hard!

1. - I thought there was a little too much glare in the picture

2. - Same as above

3. I found that the pink wasn't the focus of the photo. THere was too much green and blue.

01 - The top of the photo is overexposed
02 - The flowers are too bright
05 - Looks overexposed at the top

3- The other colors detract from the pink.
1- A little overexposed. Nice idea, though.
5- Overexposed just a tad.

This was a tough choice.
