Sorry for the delay! I should have results in the next day or two. Until then, I have a question:

How would you (the participants) feel if I only eliminated one participant this round? I'd like to have an even number going into the last few rounds.

It's okay with me, running the MISC LIMS I know how hard it is not having an equal amount for the end.

It's okay with me, but we're 8. Eliminating only one would make us 7. How is that even? Or am I missing something? :lol: :rolleyes:

one person skipped this round, which makes us 9. :) i don't really care how we do it, so if it's easier on you, Dragonfly, it's ok with me as well.

We all know that everyone gave his/her best and all icons are good, but icon-making is about always learning new techniques. Personally, I've never tried the Pop Art style and it was interesting to experiment with it.

Thanks for the feedback ;) I'll take all of this into consideration in the future. My reasoning behind this is that people should be voting based on the quality of each of the icons. If I didn't think that an icon fit the theme, I wouldn't have accepted it as an entry. Also, as Teddy Bear Dr stated, everyone has different opinion on what is or isn't pop art.

Dragonfly icon #8 according to your math has -5 points and icon #1 has -6, so doesn't that mean that #1 should be the one eliminated?

No ;) The way that I calculate who gets eliminated is by looking only at the negative votes. I only look at the positive votes if there's a tie that needs to be broken. I do the opposite for voter's choice: only looking at the negative votes if there's a tie. It may not be the way that everyone does it, but it's how I've always done it.

I've always wondered how the votes were counted... it's clear now :)

Anyway, sorry to see you go Miss_undercover... and thank you so much for the mod's choice award (I have to say it was a very "controversial" icon, with lots of positive and negative votes :rolleyes:)

I intended to post a link to a list of H's one liners, but I couldn't find one that was just one liners (if you know of one, please let me know). Instead, here's a link to a youtube video of his of his one-liners. You are not limited to just these ones, but it's a good place to start for those who don't watch Miami ;)
