Re: Talk LIMS #8: Challenge 9 I agree with saying "It's not Pop Art" should not be acceptable ... because I feel we all have our on views on what is considered Pop Art and what isn't Least: 08 The main crop on this one is way too distracting it takes away most of Catherine's face and the things going on in the background don't really fit. 05 Kind of Blurry. I don't know... 08: Loved the coloring, but too much things on the background and the unusual crop distracts the attention from the subject Best: 03 07 (All the icons were great, considering how hard it is to achieve that pop art effect)

Since it's a pop art theme (being that the difficulty was to achieve a pop art effect), I honestly don't understand why we shouldn't express such a statement. I mean pop art was an art movement with its own techniques: though they were quite different from country to country, I think some things cannot be considered pop art even if you percieve them like that. Oh well that was just my honest opinion on the matter
Re: Talk LIMS #8: Challenge 9 Least 05 - there is way too much purple going on. Catherine doesn't stand out enough. 04 - the background is very distracting. Overall the icon is too dark. Best 03 - Just perfect! 02 And I agree with Florry. As the theme was Pop Art why not "criticise" that one or more icons aren't Pop Art? We all know that everyone gave his/her best and all icons are good, but icon-making is about always learning new techniques. Personally, I've never tried the Pop Art style and it was interesting to experiment with it.

It looks like it's falling onto her head. Best 03 - I love the colors, comic-book-esque look to this, and the "freeze!" speech bubble. 05 - I like the use of the halftone background, even though it is very purple. P.S. Hi, I'm new here! Re: Talk LIMS #8: Challenge 9 - Voting! Least: 05 - The purple is really distracting from Catherine, and the icon as a whole seems a bit blurry... 01 - Hard to tell who Catherine is, which takes away from the effect. Best: 02 - Perfect! 08 - Really nice effect, works well.
