Caught up with ya! =)
Well, so this was Christmas... and what can I say? It was horrible for one part, honestly, I consider mayself a tough girl and like it's been said before, I can watch people being stabbed and mutilated and whatever - but DON'T YOU FUDGIN' HURT MY BOYS!!! That fingernail scene was just sooo gross!
After all, this episode wasn't great for the case itself, but for how it reflected that relationship between Dean and Sam, how Dean's always been there for Sammy and how Sammy just wanted to have a family... *chokes* that amulet... omg, that scene had me in tears. Not to mention the "This is my last Christmas" and "Merry Christmas bro" scenes. *tears up* Although I laughed so much when Sam got his presents from Dean, this whole finale scene was so sad.
The boys singing was just absolutely hilarious! Many funny moments, and I'm thankful for that cause otherwise this episode would have depressed me like hell. ;)

You know, I was thinking about that necklace Sam gave Dean again...

When he was wrapping it up for his dad, he told Dean that Uncle Bobby gave it to him, and had said it was "special". I wonder if it's some sort of talisman that will come into play later?

Oooh, I did not catch that, Baba, I'm glad you pointed it out. Kripke had always said there'd be some significance to the amulet, but I thought that they'd given up on that story and decided the 'significance' would just be that Sam had given it to Dean. But I missed that part... Yay, it still might have some sort of supernatural power! I am glad!

Maybe that amulet can save Dean from the deal... just joking - that would definitely be too easy! *sighs* However, I loved that scene so much, how Little Dean put that necklace on, and then the scene changed and he entered the room, and the camera was focused on the amulet. So, if Dean has still got that - does that mean that Sam has got the Barbie doll hidden somewhere? *lol* (Gosh I'm so silly today...)

Silly is good! There's not enough silly in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Here's another thing I was wondering about: I wonder if their trouble with the law, and more specifically the FBI will come back into play? Or did they push that to the background in favour of concentrating on all the demon/Ruby type stuff? Or maybe they think they've already done enough with that stuff and that we (the fans) are sick of it?

Hm, I'm not sick of it yet ;) I'm more sick of Ruby... I don't like her, for whatever the reason, I dunno. Imho they should bring back this whole FBI/law stuff, I mean, isn't it a bit unrealistic that the police has suddenly lost interest in them?
What will the title of the next episode be btw? Can't wait to see it!

^^^ I don't know if there IS a next episode, what with this writer's strike and all. We'll see.

I just think the boys have to play it safe and stay out of the way of law enforcement these days, but it might be cool to see them on the run from the cops again in the future. I mean, I would think that they're bound to run into trouble again, methinks.

I actually sort of like Ruby, but I'm still not a fan of Bella. But I will continue to give her the benefit of the doubt for now. I'm trying to be more openminded in my old age!

WTH?! I never really cared about that writer's strike actually (I'm not that much into CSI anymore...), but I didn't know that it would affect the shows already! So there won't be a new episode this week? (Hm I don't even know when they normally air it in the US...) Oh that sucks... I'm getting withdrawal already...
Uhm, is it allowed to post links for videos here? Cause I just finished my first SPN vid. :)

The next new Supernatural episode that will air in the US will air on January 3rd. Only 2 weeks away, but 2 long weeks :(

Really? I didn't even expect that, so I'm actually as pleased as punch! YEEHAW! :D

Thanks for that tidbit, Rellaaaa- very much appreciated. I guess that'll be the night I start fighting with my roomie over watching Grey's Anatomy again. Although maybe that show won't be airing a new episode that night, if I'm lucky. As much as I think Patrick Dempsey is a hottie, I'd take Dean over McDreamy any day! :p

Anyway, it'll be a nice way to start the New Year!

January 3rd?! That's such a long time... that means that I won't be able to see it before the 4th, wow that's gonna be tough two weeks... On the other hand: I should just take it as a belated Christmas present! I don't get any from my parents, and I'll get those from my sister when her boyfriend's back in Germany after having visited her - and guess when he'll be back? Right - January 4th! :) Two presents on one day!

Just watched A very Supernatural Chrisatmas. I love the fact that your Dean did not want to let young Sam that the monsters under his bed were real.

According to TVGuide, it's supposed to be 'Sin City' on January 3rd. And the next new episode (according to Supernatural.tv) is January 31st. :( Which sucks if that's true---don't quote me on that because I can't seem to find the info anymore. Dang messageboard with sub boards.

Arg.

^^ I liked that part too. Though it was funny when Sam says that their dad told him there was no monsters under his bed and Dean responds with "That's because he already checked under there."

I felt bad when little Sammy was crying--though I'm not quite clear why. Is it because he learned their mother died because of a demon? Or because bad things really do exist? Or because he knew their dad wouldn't be back for Christmas... I watched that episode twice and still can't figure it out.

I went browsing on the CW and your right that they changed it to January 31st. :( That's even longer away and I better get my DVD's out before I get SPN withdrawels.

OK so... this thread had slipped away into the invisible ether lands. That simply can't be. No.

Here's my thought- we're about halfway through the season now, yeah? So what's everybody's take on season 3 so far? Are things going the way you expected, or even as you had hoped? Are Dean and Sam behaving the way you expected or hoped?

Enquiring minds want to know! :)
